+ 28 Blood Pressure Help

ad

Every once in a while We see a blood pressure question and the truth is, its probably the biggest health hazard when it comes to doing what we do. Most of the young guys running gear, I was one once upon a time, just look at roid rage as kinda cool often and dont really realize it is likely the result of high blood pressure. High blood pressure could be responsible for a large percentage of all disease related to cardiovascular or organ issues. We should talk about it more and in my opinion there should be no single person running gear without a BP monitor. I figured it out many years after running my first gear, I thought rage just meant I was a badass! Lol. So anyway my answer is cardio early and often, eat as clean as possible and take my omega3 fish oil along with a few other heart supps....hopefully everyone can drop in their control methods and thoughts. I happen to believe even blood pressure medication is a good thing if you need it when compared to just letting it get out of hand. It is depreciating you which is the opposite of what we are all trying to do to begin with. A motor that runs nice and smooth that granny drives will last longer than one in Goths ride given he just boils the tires at every intersection and thinks he's so fuckin cool with his dollar store jewelry and his felt hat and gold tip cane! TELL US WHATS WORKING FOR YOU....

Nope. Both Cialis and Viagra are smooth muscle relaxers which causes vasodilation - meaning they encourage blood vessels to expand, so to speak. Each one works is a different way. Viagra was originally developed to reduce high blood pressure. The main difference between them is their 'half life' - Viagra lasts a couple of hours whereas Cialis can last up to 36 hours. Cialis is currently FDA approved for BPH due to it's long smooth muscle relaxant effect.

Funny thing is mate is I've tried Viagra since I wrote this comment - Got sent some as a freebie with some gear so I popped half a tab just to try it out lol Uuugh made me feel awful - Got a headache, blurry vision and it hurt to look at any kind of bright light. Luckily only lasted a short while but never again for me. Did make me horny as hell though but it was ruined by the sides.

Interesting. I have heard of those sides. My Urologist gave me a script because Finasteride can kill libido. It's works ok for me but gives me the stuffy nose. Not real romantic breathing through your mouth and it makes going the growl pretty difficult. :-) Since being on TRT I don't need to use it anyway.

press1's picture

How do you find it compares to Cialis - much different or more effective?

Ozninjaguy's picture

Viagra comes on quick and fades quick. You take it 20 minutes before the event. Cialis you need to take about an hour before the event and it will last all night and even into the next day. For me Cialis is more subtle and more preferrable. Both are effective but different.

I have BP issues anyway. I take lisinopril 20mg daily. Fish oil, baby aspirin, garlic pills. I really have to be careful with my use of orals. I like d-bol for jump starting a cycle but will sometimes only take as little as 10mg, to avoid bp issues. I never, ever take more than 40mg a day split.

FATHOMZ's picture

so when i got off my last cycle of tren, mast p and test my BP was off the charts. some truly scary numbers. it didn't help that i had just found out my gf was pregnant and i didn't want a kid.

i did everything i could to lower it quickly. celery juice works but only temporarily. i found cannabis and muscle relaxers the same.

i put myself on a shitload of otc supplements and it seems to have paid off. i did garlic, coq10, niacin, fish oil, magnesium, calcium and potassium mix and baby aspirin.

probably gonna order some cialis with my next cycle.

professer X's picture

Cialis doesnt work as well as u think it woukd for blood pressure. If u truly have hivh blood pressure no doctor is gonna prescribe cialis for it.. other drugs work much better... ( but with out the cool side effect that cialis has) lol

Please do not recommend to anyone your over the counter mixture of candy. Your mouth full of drugs could be hazardous to your health.

Lets start off with your first supplement, garlic. Garlic does help with BP but it doest mix well with medications that slow blood clotting (Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet drugs) such as aspirin that you also mentioned. Garlic slows blood clotting, taking garlic along with medications that also slow clotting might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding. Garlic also interacts with birth control, and medications that are changed by the liver. Garlic increase how quickly the liver breaks down some medications. Taking garlic along with some medications that are broken down by the liver can decrease the effectiveness

coq10, side effects are rare but include diarrhea, nausea, and heartburn. People with heart failure, kidney or liver problems, and or diabetes should not use this supplement. CoQ10 can lower blood sugar levels and blood pressure. Doses of 300+ milligrams affects liver enzyme levels. Once again, people taking blood thinners or thyroid medications and chemotherapy should avoid CoQ10.

Niacin, can cause liver problems, stomach ulcers, changes to glucose levels, muscle damage, low blood pressure, heart rhythm changes, and other issues. People with any health condition including liver or kidney disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, or cardiovascular problems need to talk to a doctor before using niacin supplements. Do not treat high cholesterol on your own with over-the-counter niacin supplements.
Interactions. If you take any medicines or supplements regularly, talk to your doctor before you start using niacin supplements. They could interact with medicines like diabetes drugs, blood thinners, anticonvulsants, blood pressure medicines, thyroid hormones, and antibiotics as well as supplements like ginkgo biloba and some antioxidants. Alcohol might increase the risk of liver problems. Though niacin is often used along with statins for high cholesterol, this combination may increase the risk for side effects. Get advice from your health care provider.

Fish oil, interacts with birth control pills, medications for high blood pressure, and orlistat (Xenical, Alli) a weight loss medication weight loss. Fish oils might slow blood clotting. Taking fish oils along with medications that also slow clotting (aspirin) might increase the chances of bruising and bleeding

magnesium, can cause nausea, cramps, and diarrhea. Magnesium supplements are not be safe for people on diuretics, heart medicines, or antibiotics.People with diabetes, intestinal disease, heart disease or kidney disease should not take magnesium before speaking with their health care provider.
Overdose. Signs of a magnesium overdose can include nausea, diarrhea, low blood pressure, muscle weakness, and fatigue. At very high doses, magnesium can be fatal.

Calcium, don't mix well with antibiotics, bisphosphonates, calcipotriene, Levothyroxine, lithium, digoxin, verapamil, and a hand full of other medications.

potassium, in high doses, potassium can be dangerous. People with kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, Addison's disease, stomach ulcers, or other health problems should never take potassium supplements.
Potassium overdose include muscle weakness or paralysis, irregular heartbeat, confusion, tingling sensation in the limbs, low blood pressure, and coma. Get emergency medical help immediately.
Other common side effects are: muscle weakness or paralysis, cardiac conduction abnormalities, and cardiac arrhythmias, including sinus bradycardia, sinus arrest, slow idioventricular rhythms, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, and asystole.

The key to lowering BP
-restrict sodium and fat
-Increase intake of fruits and vegetables.
-Regular physical activity.
-Limit alcohol consumption and avoidance of tobacco.

The bottom line, consult your health care provider to establish a plan. Medication may be necessary to prevent complications. Plan on taking some diuretics and beta blockers.

Take it serious, high BP leads to heart failure. myocardial infarction, impaired vision, and renal failure

There is sooooo much wrong with your advice in this post. I dont know where to start. Not everything obviously, but quite a lot.

Manshit's picture

I see a Dr of Ostiopath and he put me on magnesium and coq10,for mildly elevated blood pressure.Worked like a charm.

kibby's picture

Funny you say that I've been doing some digging around and here's just one link I found on coq10 which I also take

Good find certainly looks as though it reduces all inflammatory response, with the exception of interleukin 6.My D.O.said it makes the heart work more efficiently.Coq10 coupled with a healthy does of magnesium, about 800mg twice a day worked for me at lowering my blood pressure.Mine has never been crazy but when on cycle some things will push it up rapidly.I find giving blood also helps.

Aren't you a ray of sunshine LMFAO

I’d like a little more comprehensive response next time. ;-)

beet juice helps and I love the way it taste.

gwuk's picture

I usually take some natural products for cardiovascular disease

leanbulk819's picture

i use coQ10 to support heart health. It isnt cheap though, at least the good kind isnt, the one with ubiquinol in it

Eurobarbells's picture

In my experience cardiovascular hard work can help with this but is not the only solution I used a lot times
Cardiologists assistant after a cycle because with
The time the body is in more risk to get side effects
I can say you when I was 20 years old I got to use
A beta block because I got arritmia
I used dianabol and trenbolone only but I was losing a
Lot of my hair and my mistake was to add minoxidil

Dat Sauce's picture

N2guard 7 caps daily helped mine out. It will cost a kidney for 3 month supply but you can't put a price on health. It also cleared up my back, bonus points. The highest I would be was 116 over 72 and that was on the front end of a cycle running Dbol. Got to tame Da sides on Dat Sauce

PaulAdams725's picture

Cialis, half a tab a day and Ramipiril from the doctor has brought mine down from dangerously high levels to normal levels in the space of a few weeks.

Sumo13's picture

Ive always struggled with high blood pressure when blasting until someone mentioned cialis I have 10mg daily and my bp is now at a nice steady rate Smile

bigrick2017's picture

TheFlash85's picture

Asprin will only prevent clotting it doesnt lower bp.

It stops prostoglandins from gathering to form clots.

Manshit's picture

I've been off cycle for 3 weeks now and decided to follow up with a doctor visit. So my Dr. and perscibed me 50mg atenolol because my BP was high!? It was normal before I started my cycle. What went wrong?

herktime's picture

Niacin, arginine, beet juice (for the healthy nitrates), reducing stress and chronic adrenaline dumps, cardio, nature, and a clean diet with proper sleep hygiene.

ogmudbone76's picture

Also just from my prescribed trt my red blood cell count will climb and my blood pressure will follow I give blood every 2 or 3 months and it helps my blood pressure instantly I usually sit at like 122/69 witch isn't bad and it will still drop it down

ogmudbone76's picture

**If your arms are big they MUST use a thigh Cuff. a large cuff is for 16" and under. If the cuff is small it has to work harder to compress the artery giving false high readings. **

Raw garlic slice to release the allacin, I capsule it up and swallow

Rutin either supplement or food ( buckwheat great source of rutin)

Celery, Grape juice, both help

Infusion ( tea) hawthornberry, yarroww and limeflower.

i used to use this when i did lots of MDMA. nice to see it has other benefits besides replenishing dopamine haha.

yesidont's picture

maybe it sounds funny but a table spoon of apple vinegar hepls to reduce blood pressure but its only for a certain amount of time and about 2g of arginine before breakfast also help with blood pressure

zeus414's picture

A low dose aspirin at night, omega ,vitamin e and donate blood every 8 weeks ai to keep water under control . And I have no problem with blood pressure.

007pssa's picture

I've got lisinopril on standby in case my bp starts creeping up.

Also take a statin whenever I'm on gear.

Tqueen's picture

I had no idea that I had high bp. I just thought I was getting agitated often. Long story short Dr put me on 50mgs of atenolol and when I'm on cycle it keeps it perfect. When I'm off cycle I cut to 25mgs and it keeps it good. I take omega 3 and am animal pak daily.

fetus's picture

This is such a great topic and does seem to be overlooked. Hell, I haven't thought much of it until lately, but my blood pressure has crept up a bit this year, and I had some water retention issues on my last cycle that led me to shut it down early.
I intend to get a monitor immediately, look into the supplements that you guys are recommending, pay more attention to my diet and weight, and focus a bit more on cardio. I'll also commit to donating blood on a regular basis. I will make sure to have this in check before my next cycle, and will probably lower my dose of amortizing compounds as well.
This shit is so important, and I appreciate all the good feedback that is being shared. Thanks everyone.

mia1's picture

its overlooked 99% of the time from the people i know, i believe one of the biggest problems is controlling e2 this is nearly rocket fuel for e2 to go high, most will then add arimidex etc but i think the easiest way for most is to lower your dosage and let your body grow for eaxmple 250 real test 300 real primo and you can grow lean with no e2 problems - of course there is a lot more issues than can rise blood pressure but this is what does it for me

Vernall's picture

In my opinion OMEGA -3 is overrated, over few past decades I listen everywhere about it's benefits. But it's not working for me and few my friends, I think it's another marketing ploy

fetus's picture

Your experience is your own, and I don't doubt it for a second. But my experience has been quite the opposite. A regimen of a variety of omegas reversed a horrendous lipid profile for me in just a few months. I only mention it because I would hate for someone who could benefit from them to neglect them outright, and either go untreated or end up on prescription drugs for the rest of their lives needlessly.
We're you and your friends ever able to find a solution? I would be interested to hear about it.
Cheers bro.
