+ 27 Blood Pressure Help

ad

Every once in a while We see a blood pressure question and the truth is, its probably the biggest health hazard when it comes to doing what we do. Most of the young guys running gear, I was one once upon a time, just look at roid rage as kinda cool often and dont really realize it is likely the result of high blood pressure. High blood pressure could be responsible for a large percentage of all disease related to cardiovascular or organ issues. We should talk about it more and in my opinion there should be no single person running gear without a BP monitor. I figured it out many years after running my first gear, I thought rage just meant I was a badass! Lol. So anyway my answer is cardio early and often, eat as clean as possible and take my omega3 fish oil along with a few other heart supps....hopefully everyone can drop in their control methods and thoughts. I happen to believe even blood pressure medication is a good thing if you need it when compared to just letting it get out of hand. It is depreciating you which is the opposite of what we are all trying to do to begin with. A motor that runs nice and smooth that granny drives will last longer than one in Goths ride given he just boils the tires at every intersection and thinks he's so fuckin cool with his dollar store jewelry and his felt hat and gold tip cane! TELL US WHATS WORKING FOR YOU....

Also just from my prescribed trt my red blood cell count will climb and my blood pressure will follow I give blood every 2 or 3 months and it helps my blood pressure instantly I usually sit at like 122/69 witch isn't bad and it will still drop it down

I've seen some good stuff about turmeric for blood pressure its good for the joints as well

**If your arms are big they MUST use a thigh Cuff. a large cuff is for 16" and under. If the cuff is small it has to work harder to compress the artery giving false high readings. **

Raw garlic slice to release the allacin, I capsule it up and swallow

Rutin either supplement or food ( buckwheat great source of rutin)

Celery, Grape juice, both help

Infusion ( tea) hawthornberry, yarroww and limeflower.

i used to use this when i did lots of MDMA. nice to see it has other benefits besides replenishing dopamine haha.

maybe it sounds funny but a table spoon of apple vinegar hepls to reduce blood pressure but its only for a certain amount of time and about 2g of arginine before breakfast also help with blood pressure

zeus414's picture

A low dose aspirin at night, omega ,vitamin e and donate blood every 8 weeks ai to keep water under control . And I have no problem with blood pressure.

I've got lisinopril on standby in case my bp starts creeping up.

Also take a statin whenever I'm on gear.

Tqueen's picture

I had no idea that I had high bp. I just thought I was getting agitated often. Long story short Dr put me on 50mgs of atenolol and when I'm on cycle it keeps it perfect. When I'm off cycle I cut to 25mgs and it keeps it good. I take omega 3 and am animal pak daily.

This is such a great topic and does seem to be overlooked. Hell, I haven't thought much of it until lately, but my blood pressure has crept up a bit this year, and I had some water retention issues on my last cycle that led me to shut it down early.
I intend to get a monitor immediately, look into the supplements that you guys are recommending, pay more attention to my diet and weight, and focus a bit more on cardio. I'll also commit to donating blood on a regular basis. I will make sure to have this in check before my next cycle, and will probably lower my dose of amortizing compounds as well.
This shit is so important, and I appreciate all the good feedback that is being shared. Thanks everyone.

mia1's picture

its overlooked 99% of the time from the people i know, i believe one of the biggest problems is controlling e2 this is nearly rocket fuel for e2 to go high, most will then add arimidex etc but i think the easiest way for most is to lower your dosage and let your body grow for eaxmple 250 real test 300 real primo and you can grow lean with no e2 problems - of course there is a lot more issues than can rise blood pressure but this is what does it for me

In my opinion OMEGA -3 is overrated, over few past decades I listen everywhere about it's benefits. But it's not working for me and few my friends, I think it's another marketing ploy

fetus's picture

Your experience is your own, and I don't doubt it for a second. But my experience has been quite the opposite. A regimen of a variety of omegas reversed a horrendous lipid profile for me in just a few months. I only mention it because I would hate for someone who could benefit from them to neglect them outright, and either go untreated or end up on prescription drugs for the rest of their lives needlessly.
We're you and your friends ever able to find a solution? I would be interested to hear about it.
Cheers bro.

Thanks for this post - have never heard of this guy...spent an hour watching his videos, he educated me on a lot, and re-enforced some things that I already believed.

Cialis can work to help regulate your blood pressure as well as have an added side benefit Smile Don't take it with nitrates or alpha blockers though. best of luck.

ashop's picture

What kind of dosages for the CIALIS to treat BP. Possibly similar to the BPH dose 5mg?

hazeleyes99's picture

I am not so sure. I would see what others have run and reference that to the recommended safe doses for Cialis from the manufacturer. Of course, always monitor your BP and check reference ranges when you adjust doses or introduce new medication.

ashop's picture

I have some buddies using a supplement called CARDITONE and they swear buy it, I plan on picking a few bottles up to try soon.

gymaddick's picture

agreed, they dont call it the silent killer for no reason.on cycle a bp monitor imo is a must....a gradual rise in bp when on cycle is easily missed.i too beleive bp meds are a nessecityim currently on a calcium blocker, but wonder if any particular type is better suited .keep an eye on water retention which can effect bp tramatically.the one im on now contains a mild diaretic.blood pressure for me is my biggest concern on cycle.

ALS8's picture

I had really high blood pressure last year after a lot of stress but really didn't want to take meds for it. The doctor recommended meditation, which I started, and it has made a huge difference. My blood pressure is now back to normal, which I know is partially because the stress is out of my life, but I believe meditation did a lot of that.

I'm wondering what would be the effects of 250mg tes/ wk with 45 mast eod on blood pressure. I've had high blood pressure for 15 years, but I take a pill every day and it's 125/70. Not bad for a 40yr old. I'm just nervous. seeing this is my very first cycle. And I've read myself sick about stroke and high BP and cardio vascular problems. Thoughts?

gymaddick's picture

your doses are low and shouldnt have much of an impact, even if it does rise slightly it should return to normal post cycle,

kibby's picture

If you really feel this way about a cycle then don't do it mate. Plus you are taking 2 compounds for your first time you should stick to test only and see how your body responds to it. Take the time to learn how your body responds the test then when you know how to control your estrogen or any other side effects then you can start thinking about adding other compounds. I guarantee with this frame of mind you will probably freak out after your first injection you MUST be in a positive frame of mind to run a successful cycle.
(Just my opinion mate)

A serve of 90% dark choc every day. Been doing it for years.

Doing sport is best for high and low blood pressure. Better if you can do it outside and not in the gym with air conds.

My blood pressure has gone to 177/120 on 750mg/test e, 40mg dbol. With the odd shots of 125mg suspension on really heavy training days. Just got a check up at work. And my BP was 177/101. Was off orals for about a week when this was done i just finished a 13 week cycle for my powerlifting meet of 750mg/test, 40mg dbol for the first 6 weeks and ended it with 2 weeks of halo at 30mg/day and 70mg at meet. Going to test it again this weekend. Nervousof telling the doctor about being on cycle

ashop's picture

Those numbers are too high my friend and eventually will catch up with you. Its bad on your heart as well as most other internal organs. A friend of mine was just diagnosed with hypertensive heart disease after not treating his high BP for many years.

coolcat's picture

i agree thats far to high 120/80 is good but slightly lower would be great, my fiance is a doctor and as you said in time it will put major pressure on your heart and your kidneys . its a silent killer which will leave you at risk of a stroke and many different problems. best get to the doc and go from there better to be safe than sorry donate blood at least if you can for now.

powerlifter3631's picture

Finally got the doctors to do something about it. I did a 10 week cruise of 200mg/week and my bp was still high 150/90-100 so went in the other day when it was really high and they prescribe my Coversyl for 3 months. And also doing a ton of blood work. Today it was 125/80 thank god

Glad you bit the bullet and talked to your GP!

Many worry about doing so but NOT doing so is the only thing that will have a side affect that we may not live through.

I've always had a "open-talk" relationship with the doctors I have used for the past couple decades because I put my health first and their "opinion of me" last.

A general GP is not someone who is likely to be in a position to fully discuss what types or how to use PED but they are certainly educated enough to treat symptoms and side affects associated with PED use.

The rare Dr. who is either an elite athlete themselves or has a direct specialization in sports related treatments is good to find and keep in touch with if you can.

Anyway, glad you are back in the safe zone brother.

Lot of good points here.

Consistent cardio
garlic powder in steak/chicken a lot
coq-10
omegas and efa's
2000-3000mg vit-c daily
keep sodium intake low
2 gallons of water a day

I can run a boat load of gear and mine is always good and rest heart rate good

coolcat's picture

good advice apart from run a boat load of gear mild diet diuretics can help as can taurine as it relaxes blood vessels and allows it to flow more freely but stress wont help you can do all whats stated and have high bp if your constantly stressed

megabolangirl's picture

My blood pressure has always been under control when on cycle, and I do a few things to ensure this. First, I drink two gallons of water a day, avoid salty foods, take a baby aspirin every morning, and I do a one hour walk every night. Hawthorne berry and coq10 are additional supplements that help as well.

This year I joined a bicycle club and rode near 1000 miles this summer. It lowered my blood pressure 10 points both sides (sys/dia). I was running 144-152/80-90 with 90+ resting HR. Lowered to 129-134/70-80 with resting HR of 70(which for me is normal). I was on test and decca cycle. everything went back to normal after month off cycle. So cardio helped me out BIG time! So I keep up the cardio now and step it up on cycle.

jimandwhit's picture

My blood pressure's peaks every now and then sometimes wakes me up in the middle of the night I read about N2 guard supposed to be really good but I don't know anybody thats tried it is there anyone on here that has any feedback on it I'd appreciate it

kibby's picture

There is a couple of things you can do as a "quick fix" but if your blood pressure is that bad then you should go see a doctor.

You can fill a tub up with hot water and put your feet in you need the water as hot as you can stand.

Also you can eat about 4/5 sticks of celery this will take roughly 20 min.

And you can also donate blood it's healthy for you and you will be saving someone's life in the process.

Hope this helps bro

Generally the bigger you get the higher your BP will be. If you have huge arms, your doc will have a special 'obese' blood pressure cuff thats reserved for the fat women with huge flabby arms. Blood pressure by the cuff is therefore slightly dependent on your arm size. Still, steroids retain water and are known to increase BP. Telling your doc is up to you. Just note that it will be on your health record and may affect your insurance in the future.

i have high blood pressure since i was 20 now i'm 27. it's also cause kidney disease. My doctor prescribed me twynsta80/10 half tablet every morning. doing cardio atleast 30 mins 5 days a week stay away from HIIT exercise, try to eat clean. i was from around 170/100 down to 125/70 in a month and healthy lab result. He said he said its possible someone have high blood pressure in early age. The most important is Just KEEP MONITORING yourself ... especially when you are on cycle!

I just got checked mid cycle of test e and mast e. 150/90. And I am 33 years old. They put me on Lisinopril. I told them the truth, because why not, they have the rest of the blood work in hand. Moral of the story is...BE HONEST WITH YOUR DOCK! He does not go to sleep in his $400,000 house every night judging you. Just be honest and stay healthy. Best for all of us.
