I simply wouldn't enjoy training if I was hungry and fasted.
Its crazy but i have gotten crazy pumps when i trained fasted at low bodyfat.. I know it goes against all the rules
maybe it's just cardio not the weights? I wouldnt want to wait that long either... and kudos to u, I feel soo weak before I eat ins day I dont feel like doing my whole workout fasted would have much benefit
Yeah bro it is shitty.. idk I do both weights then cardio fasted.. I was carb cycling and it was working great (felt awful) but I'm going to wait until a month out before I carb cycle again.. I've gotta try to maintain my weight and stay lean and avoid injuries
Cardio doesn't really count in terms of anabolic response like actually lifting weights does. No biggie if not eating right after cardio since there really is no anabolic window created by it. This is all referring to steady state of course. HIIT cardio does provide an anabolic window and should be treated similarly to lifting weights when timing nutrients.
With fasted cardio I actually like to continue that fast for a bit after the steady state cardio is done. Your body has preferentially shifted to fat burning instead of carbs due to the fast and the cardio further reinforces that. Keep your body in fat burning mode instead of carb burning mode for as long as possible. To further reinforce that don't eat any carbs with your breakfast. Only protein and fat. Keep that body burning up your fat stores instead of switching over to carbs once you eat them.
So what does it mean when you do fasted cardio then wait alittle while but you start to get the shakes
probably going hypo. Get some glucose in you. Actually happens to me more than I would like when doing a prep. I now carry Gu with me for that exact purpose. When I get all glassy eyed and wobbly after an hour long fasted spin session I need to slurp one of those right away.

Hypo's are just the damn worst - I remember the first time I ever had one on tren ace and I thought it was because my hormone levels were too low so I took some Dbol tablets!! I mean can you imagine lol Luckily this was quickly followed by an intense hunger and thirst so that got rid of it all.
Good info bro thanks.. I workout my muscle groups for the day for at least an hour then I hit fasted cardio usually on elliptical for 30 mins.. I do this in the morning around 9.. needs to be earlier but have to get my kids situated for the day.. I don't eat breakfast at all completely fasted.. then I cut carbs after 5-6 at night I call a burn window that gets me ready for next morning
I remember you telling me this once mak...... Try having protein only breakfasts. If I remember correctly you recommended carbs for my 10.00am meal onwards......
Only protein and fats for breakfast. Focus your carb meals around your work-out, pre and post WO and the rest of you meals not around workout have minimal starchy carbs. Stick to your non-starchy veggies during those meals to really strip the fat off quick.
Yeah, I should have pointed out, I'm only waiting that time after my fasted cardio. After lifting, I'm having a shake pretty quick. From all my reading, the purpose of waiting after cardio is exactly what Mak said.

dude ur tougher than me, maybe it's just cause I'm not used to it, but I usually lift at night cause I just feel so dam weak before I can eat a bit ina day, cardio I can get into, then the shake... have u always hit the weights fasted?
RustyhookerUp early and gym first so yes fasted currently. I do prefer oatmeal, coffee/whey preworkout. Leg day though get adrenaline rush so i gotta eat before. Once my fats down then back to oats whey coffee preworkout.
Night workout i would definitely need something to eat. Other cutters i did cardio late night to burn any excess of the day followed by final meal of baked chickn and broccoli. I really liked the late night cardio because i would fully zonk out after ....zzzzz
geez that looks good,you only live once,1night a week I pick a day and I have a big dessert and INDULGE,you gotta treat yourself once a week.lol.
Buddy don't worry about it, the longer you leave it throught the day the more strength and energy you have to train with due to the carb & protein loading from meals etc. Through trial and error I've found if you get up at 8am the peak lifting time is 6pm. If you can't do that though leave 4hrs minimum from when you have the first meal of the day and make sure you get in another inbetween...
PallMallHoly cow, I would have to be in the gym at 3 a.m to leave for work at 4 and get there at 5:30 to work till 3-4 then drive 1 1/2 to 2 hours home and then be in bed by 8 to do it again the next day. :(

One week in—how’s everyone doing? I’m up 4-5 lbs from the food/weight training/supps. Felt great to be back on a bb routine last week.

Really hungry and missing Mexican food! I'm cutting back on overall calories and I can tell during my sets I run out of steam drastically. Trying to keep all sets above 12 reps is hard to do at the moment. Hopefully this is just an adjustment period. Down about 10lbs so far. Dropping weight is not hard for me. It's finding the balance it takes to drop fat without losing muscle. Hope you all are doing well and enjoy your weekend!

No worries brother, I'm far from starving myself. There's just a big difference between popping Dbol and eating everything in sight (prior to the photos) and what I'm doing now. No carbs (minimal atleast) at night followed by a fasted training session in the AM just takes a bit of getting used to. Overall I feel like it's going well. Still making some adjustments and finding what works best for me. 11wks to go!

Well I’m down some weight early. Not in a good way. Ughh been sick since Wednesday night. Haven’t touched my meal prep food since then. Just trying to eat anything. Glad it happened at the beginning tho. Probably try to hit gym today and eat some quality food.
