How many videos have you seen of ISIS fighters using TOW's? I know I look at liveleak most every day and have probably seen 50-100 TOW videos and don't recall one with ISIS.

The strategy was to set up a battlefield on foreign soil - draw the Jihadis in to fight there rather than in the US or Europe. Terror networks were focused on Iraq rather than carrying out attacks abroad. The financial losses could have been mitigated if the coalition countries actually took the oil like they were accused of doing. Instead, they were too busy with a "hearts and minds" campaign that tied the hands of military leaders and resulted in unnecessary casualties. The fact is, since Vietnam, the American public has no stomach for war and the media will go out of their way to vilify the military at every turn. I agree that the war was an unnecessary loss of lives and treasure but that is what you get when you let media and spineless politicians dictate military policy.

It is complicated. America has had a fairly large and peaceful muslim population for all of this time. America stands for freedom (even if the patriot act took way too much) to hear politicians including a US Senator calling for increased patrols of muslim neighborhoods is disturbing.
