Metal and Rock Fans
ad
Do we have any old school fans here?
I think the last new bands that I've liked are Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters...after them haven't found anything that's been worth listening.
I'm open to suggestions so let them come.
Most of the time I'm still stuck with the great bands of 70's & 80's,

I don't think anyones going to beat the old bands of the 70s and 80s. Its a fast food world so here today gone tomorrow.
Rock and roll never dies.
If we are speaking truth here...Is there a greater album in the history of metal than Metallica's Black album? I can't think of one.
I know that album gets maligned a lot but I like it too. It is no Justice or Puppets but it is good. Of Wolf and Man, if that song don't pump you up nothing will
One of my favorites is wherever I May roam. It's slow but charged.
It is a good album and they didn't just do a cookie cutter.
Times of Grace (not a Christian band)
Iced Earth
Avenge Sevenfold
Killswitch Engage
Super hard political rock: Prophets of Rage, Rage Against The Machine
Super hard rock: Black Label Society (Zakk Wylde, Ozzy Guitarist)
Depends on how heavy you like to go?! lol I grew up listening to 80/90's metal (Skid Row/Whitesnake/Poison/Alice Cooper etc) but now mainly listen to Metalcore - its awesome music to lift to also:
Obey the Brave / Five FInger DP / Unearth / Killswitch Engage / Shadows Fall / Throwdown etc
Its more basic guitar wise with less lead but has better rhythm and more aggression....
5fdp brilliant! Got your six is awesome!
Yup you can't bet 80s metal!
You've found a friend in me if you like 5FDP! Lol
Use to be obsessed with them especially the earlier stuff - Way of the Fist & American capitalist....
;-)
Times of Grace
Nickelback - listen to the song "Feed the machine"
Days of the New- yellow album
The Prodigy - album: Fat of the land
Audioslave
Currently jamming Periphery, Silent Planet, Volumes during training.
Check out Red Fang!
Just listened to Prehistoric Dog
Sheer brilliance!
They look like a right bunch of buzzers!

Man she's fantastic! Dig it...Thanks

Armed... and band's not too bad either. I think one of the guitar players was wearing more make up then she was.
YouTube Afyer the Burial, song Collapse. If that won't get you pumped up I domt know what will.
ArmedCrossover death meal, that's what I'd call it. Check out Bloodshot Dawn if you haven't heard them.
Deathcore is the label they've been given. I like the insane drumming and breakdowns. Also the sound of 8 and 9 string guitars.
ArmedDeathcore, one man band basically, he plays all the instruments and I think the drums are digital. Maybe you'll dig.

Hell yea, I'll check it out. I found a dude in France, years ago on Myspace. Can't think of the name buy he did all instruments himself. Guy had talent. My favorite bands now are Thy Art is Murder, A night in Texas, Despised Icon, Oceano, Fit For an Autopsy. I still enjoy some of my 80s shit too. Grew up on Motley, Cinderella, all that hairband stuff. Wasn't much on Alternative or grunge. Once the 9os hit and I discovered Pantera that was it for me.
Do you get into really heavy shit? Death metal, deathcore?
This shit is pretty kick ass.

Lol yeah man there used to be tons of bands like that and they were in the mainstream too, now it's like all different no radio time or nothing. Man remember kittie those chicks were awesome that one was sexy as hell. I miss the 90's

And yes those are all chicks, that light skinned girl smh forgetaboutitt
These guys were mainstream too
https://youtu.be/V-sYWaOrLdI
RustyhookerThe skins never gave kittie props. At shows, everyone walked out. I thought they kicked ass. Touring europe this one chick band was off the hook. Short skin betties. Man they got it going. Bad assed lil club in Dresden. Wish i remembered their name.
The hardcore bands are still around and touring. Older bands like suicidal just played here bout 6 months ago. Dri just passed thru twice in the last year. New bands still popping up that carry the hardcore standards. But never will see real hardcore on the radio. Which Im glad for. Civ was asick punk band, made it to radio and radio smashed em.
Do you remember headbangers ball?
Yeah man they were the shit and yes I do wasn't that on MTV
RustyhookerYup. Ricky rachtmann. They played huge spread of heavy tunes and bands. Metal, hardcore, alternative
Ricky Rackman lol. D.R.I brings back some old school memories.
Some newer American Thrash..not much latley but these guys are young but with old school sound.
