Probably a long shot, but has anybody worked out/have experience with the Gold’s off Hwy 77 in Waxahachie by any chance? Going to be in Wilmer/Dallas area for the next 6 months working. Looking like that’s probably my best option…

It’s a billion dollar factory. We do dry protien powder at the building across the street. I haven’t paid for protien drinks in a year and a half. About 40% of those drinks at the store we make. We just got the orgain contract because of orgains last manufacturer had heavy metals in their stuff but ours don’t. So we’re doing the chocolate ones first now. I’m am automation tech. So all that stuff runs by itself. We run on one filler 28,000 gallons every 8 hours with three people operating it but I have to maintain and fix mechanical and electrical problems and programming problems

We don’t get to take the other brand names home at all. But the protien powder in bulk we get to take when the third party lab opens a bag and takes out a portion to test for purity. Whatever is left over we can take that and fill up my jug

I trained there from 92 till about 2000/2001. Saw Ronnie(Vicki,Branch etc..) 4 or 5 times a week when he was natural all the way up till his O wins. There is also Metroflex In Mansfield that’s about 30 min from Waxahachie. Absolute Recomp is opening up in Arlington next month should check that out too! It’s about 5 miles south of the OG Metroflex.

Lot of equipment, but unfortunately Golds as a whole has become pretty commercialized, their machines are Hoist and FreeMotion LOL. Not the greatest, but you could also do alot worse. Multiple options for all bodyparts, just not the best brand machines
There is 2 other options that aren’t a commercial gym. 1 being that old warehouse, 80s style bodybuilding gym which is sweet, but it’s fucking tiny. The other one is new and the theme/setting is really nice, but it’s also super small.
