ad
Or whatever accomplishments, it's all good. Today after 6 weeks of working at it I hit 4x10 doing body weight skull crushers. Next goal will be 4x10 elevated. That is my new favorite tricep exercise bar none.

Lmao...I had to, new guy or not
She will understand bro........... she is as crazy as a cat on a hot tin roof so alls good
Hey,.... you come in here you better get used to being called "bro"...... lot of new guys here who dont know you yet.
Yeah because a lot of guys look great in a bikini!
Ok then how about this.
Behind the neck shoulder press 100kg for sets of 10.
I only weigh around 150lbs so thats way above my body weight and the guys usually give a round of applause cos they cant believe their eyes.
That is crazy impressive Suzy. Keep them coming everyone.
hey Pale, I accomplished 405 on the bench for 8reps, 7 of those were nice and slow controlled reps with full contraction on the chest. was worried my old man tendons were going to snap tho so I'll keep it to 315 for more working sets and higher reps. btw, congrats to the wife, I'm sure both of you are proud that's a hellava accomplishment...
Awesome! I think I strained my right pec on Monday a little as well. Nothing real serious but I keep getting a little twinge from the lower right side. Oh well, if it ain't tore keep beating it!.
Thanks guys for sharing your PR's whatever they are, lol. This thread has taken off pretty good.
600lb raw deadlift
I haven't banned any ignorant little twats from my gym for two weeks. Immediately I've been on the other side of the planet for eleven of those fourteen days but it's still a PR and I'm counting it.......
I had knee surgery 12 days ago, yesterday I did 3 sets 10 weight free squats. I was very happy with myself, hopefully by June i maybe able to actually squat some weight lol.
It's a bitch seeing your quads shrink but I'm optimistic that in time they'll be back to how they were previously.
Sorry to hear about your setback brother! Wishing you a rapid recovery! You'll be hoisting those PR's in no time! Take care and be well Robb!
Thanks brother, just a little set back. As long as it heals up I'll be happy man lol.
145kgs flat bench, 6 reps.
I'm 5'6 185 BF around 12%
I don't ever just go for as much as I can. Anytime I try and get a lot of weight it is always about 5-7 sets in. Like bench
It'll be like this
135x15 155x15 185x12 185x10 22x10-12 275x3-5 and then 315x1-2. The most I ever got was 335x1
Squat is the same way
135x20 185x20 225x15 275x10-12 315x6-8 and the most I've gotten was 405x2 because I am scared to fuck my knees up like my grandpa did.
Deadlifts I don't do.
Barbell rows I can get 245x10
But there was a guy at my gym today, short black dude 5'4 he a friend of mine and he is weighing 270-72 and he squared 725x5 today.... It was fucking wild!! Haha
So far, 16 weeks of dieting prepping for a show. Getting to old to move much weight anymore so not much to brag about there.
Lifting big is a young man's game, save for a few old folks with farm animal generics. My PR's are now measured in how many dips I can do, or how many times I can bench my weight or squat 225.
With out a doubt brother! Without a doubt! I'm approaching my mid fifties and my PR for the week was upon awakening, making it to the bathroom without incident! Lmao
LMFAOOOOOO!!
Lol brother Vike! Glad I could bring some joy into your day! Those diapers are so darn expensive! Lol
I can relate well theo... i hit 55 this june and im thinking about tying a little ribbon around my old fella to save any mid-night mishaps lol
Lol Vike, you are to funny! I'm certain someone is going to have a blast unwrapping that! Lol
55.......... i cant believe i just wrote that... it just doesnt seem right!... i feel 25 why the fk can i not still be 25 .............. pleeeeeese God help me turn the fkn clock back pleeeeeeese :))))
I hear you Vike! I'll be 54 this year! Training hard just doesn't get easier! Although, and I speak for both of us, it is a labor of love!
RustyhookerYou two make me look lazy. I gotta catch up with both ya'll.
Its all i know brother...... i have never lived any other way!...... started with gymnastics at school (14yrs old) then moved into martial arts and then the weight bug nailed me at 20.... started running gear at 22 at 25 i won the junior Mr Britain and then it just went like a roller coaster .. on and on and on and on and blah blah blah....... here i am! old as the hills but still going strong lol
RustyhookerI started lifting as a freshman in high school. Hardcore 100 lbs of brute. Lol! Lifting keeps me sane. If I wasn't in the gym....it was trouble. I do miss semi pro soccor though.
Rusty, you are the ever humble gentleman! Who else stands at 5'4" and comes in at 200 lbs. oh I can name a few, Danny Padilla, Franco Columbu, Jose Raymond.
You're in good company my brother!
RustyhookerI like the strength and density at 200 but even with cardio it's a lot to lug around some days. Reality for my size is trying middleweight. Or keep pushing for 210
. Gluttons for punishment. Lol
Much respect Rusty! That is one monumental achievement! Do what makes you happy brother!
Wise words of Dexter Jackson "Lift smart"
Ever since then I could careless about the weight and all about the form and making sure my muscle is being worked at its full potential, that's how you get the round muscle bellies and detail
My wife pressed the 80lb dumbbells and also barbell shoulder pressed 175...... No PRS for me.
My wife is squatting 225x10. I am pretty proud of her as well.
Those numbers will make a husband proud.
Had a 4 point wrist fusion in 2006. Since then, no skull crushers, flat bar curls, and minimum flat bench. The weird thing is I started doing weighted dips as my main chest exercise, and I blew up. Father time sucks, I am constantly working around injuries.
Will let everyone know soon...testing my max here asap.
DeathstrokeI know right! when i read it, replied and saw some of the monster pr's of our peers. It made me want to go back to the gym and maxout like a credit card! LOL!
My personals until I fucked my shoulder up
450 bench 3 times
650 Deadlift
500 Ass to grass
250 tricep pulldowns
300 shoulder press
Smith machine bench I can do 560 all day
Smith incline I get to 500
I'm getting too old for this shit or at least my joints and tendons are.
Currently weighing in at 200 at 5' 6". If I didn't have the midsection blubber I would more then likely snap my spine lol.
RustyhookerFrigging power house!!!
All impressive number brother.
I try to avoid that infernal Smith machine. Especially for bench pressing, it is a shoulder killer. I would recommend benching dumbells. You can do twenty different variations and your arms will allow you to maintain the natural arch.
I switched to decline bench press, on the smith machine because of exactly what you said, the pain in my shoulders doing flat bench on the smith machine was to much. Actually wish I didn't have to use it, miss the free weights bench.
Shoulder issues result from years of bad form IMO. If you check out how powerlifters press, that is actually correct and EVERYONE should bench like that. Cram yourself up under the bar and arch like mad. And your wrists should be directly over your elbows with your scapula retracted and pinched. Most of the time you do that right and you'll be benching more at the bottom of your chest like at the xiphoid process, is where the bar will touch before exploding up
Everyone's different, some people will get on with an exercise that others won't & vice versa.
Well now...I'm a training powerlifter and the day I can't bench, squat, or pull and I might as well drag my ass out to pasture and shoot myself. Pain is just a constant in my world lol
Lol. I'm not a powerlifter but I hear ya on the coping with constant pain, always seem to have a niggle these days. Oh the joys of getting older, lol
Hahahah............ my body keeps screaming at me to slow down bro, but i keep telling it to fuck off.... i hit 55 in june and my plan is to wring every ounce of life from this carcass before i throw it in the skip lol
Hence the sobriquet, "The Mighty Conquerer" :))
Lol. Yeah it's a battle every day but I won't let it win. I'm determined to train forever now, no more down time for me. The last lot of down time ended with me being a fat bag of shit & I'm never going there again. My body can cry all it wants, it won't get any sympathy from me, lol
Great attitude moving forward brother! Keep at it! Much respect!
Cheers mate, very much appreciated. I've wasted many yrs over the yrs & it really pisses me off that I did that to myself but I use that disappointment to drive me to never be a waster again.
