A lot of quality motorcycle racing leathers are made from Kangaroo skin - it's tough and thin. Years ago I had a two-piece racing suit custom made in Oz...cost a bit - but looked and felt great. Thankfully never had to test it's protection.

Gator is my favorite and eel and shark are the most comfortable but they didn’t last too long. The least comfortable was the elephant hands down but the lasted a long time I got a couple of retreads before I tossed them.
My newist pair is cayman because I am too cheap to buy American Gator.
Ohh I forgot I had a pair of kangaroo boots about 30 years ago they were pretty comfortable too.
