Can’t gain muscle

ad

Training 7 years
29
6’5
226lb
12-13% bf

Graduated high school 6’2 140lbs, started working out and dirty bulked to 230 in a year. Gained size but
A lot of fat. Ever since about 5 years ago when doing calipers I’ve had about 190-197 lbm. My measurements have all been about the same besides I’ve bulked up several times and had a nutrition/bodybuilding coach writing meals and training. I hit 260lbs and was a fatass, I don’t gain any weight in my limbs so basically carried 40 pounds of fat around my core compared to now. I’ve been on trt and do everything 100%, didn’t have a cheat meal for 4 months until recently and hit my macros and training perfectly. Upped my trt to 300 week test and added in 300 tren and 75 provi, went from a cut 211 8-9% bf to 238 16-18%bf following the coaches plans and wasn’t happy. The weight I gained was all fat and y
I was stronger but no change in lbm with all the extra food and drugs. I don’t know if the product is super underdosed but most say good to go and reputable so for the life of me I can gain a pound of lbm. Everyone might say just eat and train harder, I promise you if you saw me in the gym and dedication to nutrition and macros you would understand why I’m so confused on why I won’t change. Bodies wall? I have extremely skinny joints. 17” neck. 9” ankle and 7.5” wrist. Everytime i bulk I just gain fat, slow or fast bulking. My body won’t go over 197 lbm in 5 years with tons of cals, hard training and drugs?

You need few factors for muscle mass increase:

  • calorie deficit with the right nutrient balance,
  • weight resistance training with progressive overload approach,
  • correctly combined and dosed AAS and monitored blood work,
  • adequate rest, sleep.

You have gone wrong more likely with nutrition balance, if you are gaining fat to much, means your carbs and/or fats are too high. You would need to find your calorie numbers where you maintain your weight and then slowly adding more calories and monitor the progress. Good plan would be get lean before you get on your bulking stage, this way your body will react much better.
Also you would need to look into your drugs protocol

Had a really well known
Coach doing my nutrition and macros. I hit every macro no cheats or anything I’m very struct

This isn't rocket science! At 29 if you cycle right, diet right, sleep right and workout right BAM! Re-think your strategy and all of the above. If you get em right you'll hit a home run.

Another way to put it....find out what works and do more of it. Find out was doesn't work and don't do it!

cougars509's picture

I know it sounds that simple...but I’ve been trying for 3-5 years, sleep, trt, cycling, hire a well known coach for nutrition and workouts. I know there’s got to be a reason right? I would think but damn I feel I’ve honestly tried and adjusted everything, won’t ever stop just wanted to hear more from others

You may want to try to get a glucose meter to measure your levels throughout the day as you appear incredibly sensitive.

One trick off the top I would do is eliminate all starchy carbs and sugars from your diet. Your body would be better off running off of healthy fats and ketones.

Think so?!? What should I keep it Round? And would love to hear more of why you think this and how it’s hindering me! Thanks!

You need to do well more research for yourself. Likewise , perhaps you have not been trying hard or smart or resolved enough during your previous efforts? Questions you must truly ask yourself. Have you ever dieted seriously? Have you even gone no carbs for extended periods of time. Have you have fast? Have you ever suffered during your diet or training?. I would truly take a good long moment for self examination as to exactly the reasons why you are unsuccessfully fulfilling your fitness goals.

All the above. I’ve never half assed anything the last 3-5 years especially. Like I stated I had a reputable coach and followed everything to the point, training, counting and weighing everything, drenched after every workout. I’ve fasted, dieted, suffered, no partying or eating off diet or drank

Just a shot in the dark here, but maybe consider hgh. Its expensive yes, and you have to run it forever and a day but the last time I ran hgh I feel like it unlocked some more room on my frame for muscle.

I hate to suggest more compounds, but it does sound like you have reached the genetic potential for your frame, at least that is my theory here.

I’ll add you! I’ve tried it for 6 months and got incredibly lean and loved it but need to commit fully and only ran 4iu highest

Your 7 years in. It gets slow, real slow.
Try training each body part twice a week.
Change all of your exercises. Dont use any machines except cables and a leg ext.
If you've been eating low carb switch to low fat.
If you've bern lifting heavy switch to lighter weight and time under tension.
6 5 is tough but I'm certain you can improve.
Give your weak points priority.

Thanks Sam!
I meant to say I run trt usually, but bumped it to
300 when I run the tren and provi! Trt is usually 150 for me with arimidex. 6’5, body wants to be skinny, legs are chickennnnnnns, switch up my workouts usually every couple months and will throw in a random
Off week here and there just to get in a heavy week or something. About to drop the coach, paying 150 a month and literally have done better solo. I definitely have gone through stages of machines with a portion of my workout but like you said I’ve been avoiding them mostly! 7 years in but feel so skinny, feel my frame is tall, and could put on so
Much size but my body is fighting to not!

Sam I Am's picture

It's harder for tall guys that arent naturally big.
The truth is not everyone can get big.
The good news is anybody can build a great physique through diet and exercise.
If Dorian isn't gonna be there for you shoot for Zane.
Ucool2 is not a mass monster but the dudes jacked.
Condition always outscores size...few men have both.

Exactly I couldn't imagine how hard it is for someone with that height

cougars509's picture

You’re the man! You’re right, have to work best and do the best within your power but also realistically know what’s feasible!

Sam I Am's picture

Were all in that boat. I've been trying to have Dave Drapers physique since 78. I'm still chasing that shit.
I've gotten pretty big but nowhere near that.
Fuck it, it beats a bowling league...
Just keep at it. You'll get bigger alot bigger but it might take 10 years to get what you did on your first two.
If it was easy every body would be jacked.

Yessir! Never stopping just trying to figure out how to get some muscle, at most in 5 years of bulking cutting and a cycle or two out on 10pounds max of lbm

333's picture

I love bowling bro I can hurl a 35lb ball down the lane while the others are having trouble with 16lbs lol

Sam I Am's picture

I dont think I've ever seen a 35 lb ball. Nohomo..
I suck at bowling, golf. Everything really but I'm OCD af and consistent.
Bodybuilding is the thing for me. I'm in the basement early every morning. Groggy, crabby and pissed off.
I love it..its my time.
