Nebido frequency?
ad
Hi,
Ihave moved so have a new endo prescribing TRT, he is giving me some strange advice so I thought I'd ask other Nebido users (Testosterone Undecanoate). Initialy he is looking to give me an injection then again 2 weeks later then thereafter every 12 weeks, heres the problem I understand Nebido has a half life of 16.5 days and the usual frequency is every 6 weeks. Does this seem strange to you guys and could you let me know the doseage (1000mg I think) and frequency of injections you are getting. Thanks a lot.

Thanks all,
Dragondog.........seems quite high loading dose but hey ho, I am pragmatic so I'll give it a try but if it does not produce the desired effect will add to it (sexualy functional and reasonable energy levels).
Musclepants... no problem FR
Just a heads up, the half life on Nebido is between 18 - 23 days. It releases into your blood super slow because of the crazy long ester. It was much quicker due my physiology. It takes too long to peak in my opinion, and it drops off like a pirate off the plank. After the drop, my estradiol levels were dominate while my Testosterone levels were in the shitter until my next shot. Just watch out, you will feel what is right for your well-being. Your doctor is supposed to adjust your meds based on your subjective reporting regardless of your actual levels as long as they do not exceed 2500.
Thanks DD, This endo seems able to listen better than my last one who I had zero rapport with, so I'll keep him imformed on how I'm doing,
No problem, I really do sympathize. I know 2500 sounds really high, but I read that 5% of an endocrinologist's patients may be prescribed enough Testosterone to achieve that level based on the patient's subjective reporting of well-being.
He will start you low they always do. Good docs stay away from nebido. Even though it has such a long half life you still have to pin more often then originally thought. I love nebido in the offseason for bulking.
He is likely trying to stabilize your blood levels with first of the two doses being close together as a loading dose. I was not happy being on Nebido for 5 years, even when I was getting the maximum allowed of 1000mg month. When I switched endocrinologist, he tested my levels showing that I was at a very low normal level. He put me on Testosterone Enanthate. I take shots more often, but I am now cruising with steady blood levels.
I'd be interested to see how you get on. My endo also told me I'll be getting the same treatment you've said here. FR sent
Endo's always start you out low and move up from there.
