DIY TRT

ad

Hi guys, new here. I'm 40, am avid lifter and I just came of TRT pellets. I awaiting my pct of HCH, clomid and armidex. I would like to get back on T at some point. I was weighing doing it by myself, posting bloods here and getting y'all a feedback. I get the feeling that most TRT clinics are kinda scammy. I wish I could find a good one in my area. Even if I did it's too far and out of my price range. It looks to me like most don't recommend doing it on your own.

I am trying to get approved for the pellets myself it is better then injections because it remains stable every day and the dial in for everything is much easier. My insurance would rather me not because of the cost so im fighting them now. There are no ups and downs with the pellet, you remain consistent.

My urologist kept trying to push those on me. I didn't check whether or not my insurance would cover them though. I think once I retire from competing and running cycles that is the way I would like to go. I hate pinning and sounded like the T levels would be nice and steady.

Does anyone know what the actual release time on them is say compared to a ester. Would it be like having undecanoate just releasing under your skin or is it a faster ester just a slow release.
I guess it might just be a test base.
Its interesting though I've never heard of these yet im going to research after work

It releases a specific amount per day. For example, if you need to be in the 1100 range, then it releases roughly 3-7mg a day. With injections, you are high then slowly drop, so you get ups and downs.

I think its a great idea its basically the patches but without the patch which was the complaint i believe that guys were having. If it works that will be good because one day I will be on trt and im hoping it as comfortable as possible

I think they eventually adjust your T levels by the amount of pellets they need to implant. Roughly last about 6 months. I would love to see how my body feels with a constant release of test compared to the roller coaster with injections. I did like the gels which may be somewhat similar to the feeling of the pellets. Not really sure though.

Thats all I want is consistency. BUT the first implant is like the worst pip you ever had according to my doctor. I want to feel normal if there is such a feeling

My urologist said there might be a little irritation at first.

IrishMack's picture

If not being able to sit is irritation :/

Makwa's picture

Hopefully it is not that bad.

Im surprised if its that painful why they couldn't use a spot numbing agent there are a few long lasting ones. They should have just incorporated it into the pellets

IrishMack's picture

Im sure they could numb the skin but it's a surgical procedure

Gt4grayson's picture

It is a surgical procedure and you're out of commission for a few days. One good thing I seeed to notice was my Red blood cell count was lower with the pellets. When I got he shot I would feel a weak feeling that I feel like was attributed high rbc because the clinic called me in for a phlebotomy.

Gettingbig's picture

They do sound like the gels and patches.
I've never used them but I heard that they weren't liked but I believe that it wasn't because they didn't work but because of exposure to others and having to have a sometimes visible patch. I guess they cleared that up by sticking it under the skin.
Im glad that they're atleast moving forward and coming up with better ideas so when im on trt hopefully its easier and more comfortable.

I have been researching the cycle portion of it too. Less to inject to get to a higher level is also a plus in my book.

Yea i was told it was out of pocket as well i guess if it works for you then thats all that matters the only selling points for me were bio identical and no more injections but i think ill stick with tried and true

pellets you really stick up your ass as trt.

Not "up" your ass, they surgically implant them under your skin,.............. the ass is probably one possible location.

Thats actually interesting so they surgically implant it then it has a time controlled release.
Im going to check it out
I couldn't believe that someone would create Testosterone that needed to be taken anally. Lol
Thanks for the clarification brother
