+ 1 Optimal Igf1 levels on gh.

ad

I ran my baseline igf1 test in November 19and came back at 155. I ran 2.5 iu of gh for 6 weeks and tested early January at 247 igf1. It’s above the normal range according to the standards on the test. I’m 43 years old. My question is should I be shooting for 300 or am I good where I’m at?

Nothing much to add here. Beard has you. Considering your low baseline I’d say spot on for the dose you’re on. You could try running a bit higher but the BG is a bit of a worry. You could try adding a Berberine/Bananaba supplement like - GlycoX 500 with BERBERIN HCL 500 Mg Veggie Capsules 120 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DL1N2FA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_V2bhEb8MFP41P - dosed 3 times per day 15 mins pre meals and see how you go.

Take a read of this excellent forum - https://www.eroids.com/forum/general/general-talk/can-berberine-replace-...

Edit: I see you made another forum on your BG and guys have you covered there too with the Berberine etc.

You need to state your goals, and what you are expecting in return.

Anti aging
Muscle retention while dieting
Minor gains

I'd say an IGF of 300 is a great wellrounded tradeoff of price, health, longevity, recovery, wellbeing, muscle building. Anything above 500 imho is in the dangerous territory and should only be kept there short term perhaps to heal faster after an injury

Really vague question bro.

What do you want? Why are you taking gh? When would you like your desired outcome?

If this is hrt, 1-2 iu is plenty.

For fat loss? Maybe 2-4 iu?

For mega mass and hyperplasia? 8 iu or more?

Good news is I usually see a conversion of about 100 igf per iu of gh so it sounds like your growth is real, and dosed accurately.

Thank you for your reply. So if I’m looking for minor gains and staying lean would I be shooting for 400 igf1?

Bearded_muscle's picture

Yeah I’d say 400 is the top end, 3-4 iu should get you into 300-400 igf and you should notice some pretty good fat burning (as long as diet is in check) and faster recovery from workouts. Probably a boost in libido, and some faster hair and nail growth.

Keep an eye on fasted blood sugar if you plan on running it long term, just to make sure it doesn’t creep up too much.

My Glucose was at 100 my last test. What would be considered too high. Would I take chromium for this? What might be done issues if it’s too high?

Bearded_muscle's picture

No. Chromium only works to moderate glucose spikes from one meal.

I would drop carbs for a week, do a little keto reset.

100 isn’t terrible but it’s right at the top of the range. If that’s pre gh supplementation it will be going up and that will put you into prediabetic levels.

Your response is right on.

We can’t suggest the “best igf level” for someone without knowing their goals. Anti-aging, healing, fat loss and muscle growth are all different recommendations.

Happy to see he checked his natural level before starting.

I would have to say my goal is anti aging. I like muscle and I lift but I’m not looking for huge gains. I’m looking for recovery, some help with keeping muscle while dieting, and help staying lean.
