+ 4 Thank you eroids and eroids members!
When I first started this journey my weight was 285, I have been 212 at 10% before but fell into drugs and drinking and lost myself. My child was born almost 2years ago and I decided I had to get back to that person. I could not raise her the way i was and had to break the chain.
I found this amazing site by accident and decided to become a member. The community here was so supportive and kept me safe through this whole thing.
Today 18 months later I stand before you 100% sober! I had lost a total of 80 lbs and then started building muscle again. I now am at 211 at 11\12% and raising my child right. My small family is very happy and so am I.
This place was a place I could go when I had no place to turn, it helped me build my character and body which in turn build my geat relationship with my family.
I am now the person I wanted to be and someone my child can look up to.
THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU !
You all helped save my life.

Great job on the sobriety! I have 6yrs myself. I know what you've been through. Your post just made my day! Congrats buddy!!!!
Thank you and great job to you as well man , I am looking forward to when I can say that.
@bakkeboy, we all lift for different reasons. Whenever I'm feeling low and not motivated to lift, I have a mantra. "Remember why you want to be strong." For me, I've got a great wife and two healthy kiddos. They deserve the best version of me that I can give them. Whenever you're low, try that mantra. "REMEMBER WHY I WANT TO BE STRONG."
You're not alone, brother. Keep kicking butt.
Stats? age? bf?
Not really into the stats thing. I lift for healthy mentality and the body follows. Not trying to hit the stage, 28 and bf was 11 but I feel its more around 12% now at a weight of 210, hight 6/2
I'm just screwing with ya bud. Congrats on the life improvements.
Lol. Thx bro about to go hit the iron right now.
Fuck me man my E2 must be way off level as I'm sure a tear was in my eye, I don't know you fella but I'm really pleased for you, in my family we love stories where someone comes out on top and you my man have done just that and I thank you for sharing your uplifting story.

Congratulations, mate! Not sure if most people truly appreciate how difficult sobriety really is. I have a kid too so I know what's it like to finally really want to do the right thing for someone else when we've spent our whole lives doing everything for ourselves. Keep it up!

Now that shit literally terrifies me.
I will never go back , even the thought kills me . Glad its over and a new chapter is happening . I did not expect to see so many people going through the same thing its nice to know I'm not alone
PallMallIts becoming an epidemic... i blame the legalization of marijuana. The mexican drug cartels are switching to growing poppies because they're being cut out of the supply chain for pot.
PallMallYou're not alone. I'm a recovering heroin addict and have a one year old daughter myself. Keep up the good work and remember, you never have to use again.
Thank you bro , so happy to say I am out of that place
Congrats man....battled addiction for a few years after I got hurt in the service. So I know the feeling, back then I never could've imagined getting my life back together but I stand her today over 2 years clean. Much respect and admiration bro!
Thank you brother, and good job on your accomplishments.
