Follow up to my thoughts earlier in this thread, it is amazing what is happening globally, domestically and even locally. You all see the coverage so I’ll just mention what I see in my own town that was historically conservative but had a ton of new people, very progressive, moving in the last 10 years and all of a sudden it seemed like the conservatives were gone. They aren’t. All of a sudden the conservatives who have been so afraid to speak these last few years for fear of being called a racist, homophobe, transphobe, nazi, etc are once again back in full force. My neighbors with their lawn full of colorful virtue signaling flags and an 4 year old boy that wears an dress are now the quiet ones.

Like Drexyl Ocamm's razor is nearly always the actual case. But what is certain is now that it has happened it is being used to incite and definitely has the country at each others throats. I don't think enough people realize how ugly this could go.
There’s so many possibilities, but I try to follow Occam’s razor in most of the news I digest. Was it an Israeli plot, or CIA, Russian or Chinese maybe? Is Mossad more probable than KGB, probably? At the end of the day, without adding unnecessary entities, is it possible an early 20’s nut job climbed on top of a roof and squeezed off a very easy shot that basically anyone could make after dialing in with one magazine of ammo? It’s absolutely possible. Think about how not hard it would be to eliminate anyone, it’s actually quite easy. The main reason I don’t think any professional actors were involved is the simplicity of it. He climbed a ladder while carrying a rifle, shot his target, then literally jumped off of a fucking roof and ran away on foot. Not exactly a well thought out hit. If you knew where someone was going to be a week in advance, how hard would a vantage point a couple hundred yards away be to find? This event is missing the intricacies that a skilled person would consider.
As grotesque as it sounds, I don't think a "professional" would've been aiming for the neck. More than likely center mass, maybe head. And I don't think a "professional" would be off 8" at 200 yards.

I personally think he took the neck shot because Charlie's head may not have been completely visible under the canopy. Just a thought anyway. I have heard several different ranges , everything from 100yds to 260yds. Any half way confident shooter with that rifle it would be a chip shot. He also likely had a good handle on how far the shot was going to be and was likely zeroed in at around 200yds knowing that was his shot. That Mauser rifle action and barrel are renowned for a reason. I can do 300yds all day with my 14.5' AR with the 5.56, with my bolt action 22-250 500yds is not difficult and my 7mm mag, hell, I have never even shot it beyond 450yds but I know it would easily reach 1000yds. A thousand yard shot tho would take me doing ballistic dope and very good optics. My 22-250 has a scope on it that would have a decent chance. Of course you guys familiar with guns and optics also know these days you can buy laser range finding scopes that automatically adjust the crosshairs to the lasered range. They are super fucking cool, mostly thermal models I think.
A professional would have worn a $2 mask so the dad wouldn't recognize and a professional would have had a car nearby instead of jump and run. Professional wouldn't have left palm print a wrote on bullets or weapon just to throw in woods. Just my opinion
I do not believe he was a professional either but I do believe he has a lot of experience shooting and likely knows more than many people are giving him credit for. He obviously was able stay cool in a very high anxiety environment. Let alone controlling his breathing and ultimately smoothly pulled the trigger taking the life of another human being. He quite likely is a sociopath or on some part of the mental spectrum. I think you would have to be to do what he did. He also only took one shot, I am sure most you know this but a single shot is much harder to audibly locate. 2 or more we can naturally cue right in. Oh and he evaded arrest and who knows how close they were to actually catching him before his dad turned hi in?

Right. On a range under no pressure that’s an easy shot, especially with a warm barrel, but even cold it’s not hard. But on top of a roof shooting to kill someone and knowing you have to make a quick escape after you gotta imagine he was still very nervous, heart thumping, adrenaline pumping. That makes that 200 yard shot exponentially harder. Unless he was a complete sociopath in which case maybe he wasn’t nervous at all. But he doesn’t really seem like a sociopath.
The Sociopaths I have known always get nervous although they try to hide it, I would say the guy is more likely a psychopath to be honest. Those are the more cold and calculating type that would assasinate someone. Sociopaths love an audience more.
It's hard to say. I think it's very reasonable to think there's more to the story. I think once they dive into his personal life they should find out if he was alone or not.
