So many small compact hand guns that carry 10+1, that nobody would ever suspect it’s in your pocket. But, these liberal idiots want you to sit on a public transit unprotected, while the real criminals pull out weapons and murder without remorse.
The p365 is an awesome carrying gun. 10+1 in a tiny package that’s still big enough to shoot comfortably and accurately. I used to switch carry guns like every year when single stacks were the only compact option but once the shield came out in like 2019 I’ve been content ever since.
I have the p365 Xmacro. It is larger but still smaller than a Glock 19. If you don’t mind .380 the smith and Wesson bodyguard 2.0 looks like a nice carry option. Almost pocket pistol sized.
My wife has a bodyguard with the built in laser. Sweet little gun. We have ruger LCPs too for a pocket gun. So easy to carry. There’s really no excuse not to have atleast that on me all the time.
I’d like to handle the xmacro. The 365L came out a year or two after I got mine. That might be cool. But again, my regular 365 is just so perfect for a carry gun. Big enough to shoot comfortably, but small enough to not be uncomfortable to carry it. And 11 rounds in reserve. It’s the unicorn of a carry gun.
Yea I have a couple single stackers (m&p shield .40 and a little Ruger 9mm). There's a Springfield (xtm I think?) that I was lusting after for a while that I wanna say is a 12+1.

Slippery slope. The 2nd amendment is a checks and balance against government. Don't want that government to be in charge of who can get what firearms.
So if you decide to retaliate and try to overthrow the government, do you not bank on the fact the US Army will be draughted in who have Tanks, Apaches, Hummers, Drones, FIghter Jets etc and could easily obliterate the general citizens wanting to take them on that are only armed with guns?
I always love this argument. And it makes sense on its face. Government has planes, tanks, missies, nukes etc. what do us citizens have? 400 million guns spread out throughout 100 million people and a couple billion rounds of ammo. But no artillery or fighter jets or anything like that. But the newest technology in guns, far better than our military. But we’ve just lost 2 20 year long wars to guerrilla fighters in the Middle East armed with 1950s Soviet weapons, some RPGs, lots of IEDs. No tanks, no planes. Only a few hundred thousand insurgents at that. Guerrilla tactics is how we would fight against our military if it ever came to it. Wouldn’t be a conventional war.
Our military has 1.3m active duty and another 700k in reserve. About 20% are combat troops. Now if it ever came down to this and they were ordered to fight their fellow Americans, with the vast majority of our soldiers being conservative half would probably desert and refuse to take up arms. Maybe even bring one of fun stuff over to our side. So there left with 1m, or 250k combat ready. And we the people have 100 million. Now some of them are old, many are untrained, but say even 25% are capable of fighting or learning, that’s 25 million. The US military will never win that war. And it wouldn’t take long long before we take over some bases and take control of some heavy artillery, fighter jets etc.
And this is what our founders realized. A standing government army will never compare to an armed citizenry in numbers and will always be capable of taking back over if necessary.
Exactly. Everything you mentioned is spot on. The middle east wars where insurgents can shoot/ambush then just blend back in to society. Making it hard to distinguish threat or not.
The fact the the government would need service men and woman to participate in said warfare against its citizens.. unlikely to get them all to do it, that's for sure.

Guns are designed and made for killing people, if you allow people who aren't even trained to use a gun to buy these things then you are going to get problems.
If you start selling Grenades, Rocket Launchers, Claymores in the local gun store to civillians what do you think the outcome of that will be - do you think the situations will get worse or better? These situations are never going to get any better or less frequent until you begin to tackle the root cause of the problem.

I don’t think it would go down that way for two reasons.
1.There would be a division within the military because they’re killing own civilians. Despite their training, the have a conscience which is why majority them suffer with PTSD.
I think so many of these School shootings happen because these kids sit around playing first person shooter games all day long, then they get bored of it and want to do it for real. I don't think its about any real reason that they do it - they just get curious and want to see what its like in reality.
They've been harping on the whole "violent video games make people want to commit violence" for decades now and every study i've ever seen concludes that just isnt true for the most part. I think this has more to do with the rhetoric that's being openly pushed and the fact that so many people are on ssri's and other mental health drugs that literally have warnings that they may cause violent/of self harm thoughts to the user. The rise in school shootings and the like are pretty well in line with the increase in use of these drugs.
100% agree. The studies have been done how video games alter kids perception of reality and desensitize them to violence, but unfortunately were buried because they would’ve fucked up an industry that makes billions a year. Same with the gun industry billions a year industry that just keep churning them out while witnessing what’s going on in our society.

Just for the record, born and raised in gun culture been shooting since I could hold a rifle and own probably too many(at least thats what the wife says). The gun is just a tool, but it’s sad to say, it’s too easy for fucking nut jobs to get their hands on weapons in this country.
Today 1/3rd of Americans own guns. It used to be 50%. And there were no mass shootings, no school shootings despite the fact kids were allowed to and did bring guns to school until 1994. Now less people own guns, there’s more restrictions then ever, guns aren’t allowed in schools and we have some mass shootings.
It’s not a gun problem. Inanimate objects aren’t capable of killing people. It’s so much deeper than that. Take guns away and people will just choose a different tool, like knives, Your country had tried this. Isn’t there an active campaign in London called “bin a blade” lol? And they’ve put restrictions on buying knives, so then people started using acid. And now there’s restrictions on common cleaning supplies. And then they’ll just find something else. Because we aren’t addressing the root of the problem.
Last thing I’ll say on this, in 2023 there were 13k gun homicides. In a country of 350 million. And the overwhelming majority of those were gang violence in places were guns are already effectively banned. All illegal guns because criminals don’t care. Nobody out in the country by me where all the legal guns are owned are shooting each other. Furthermore, each year there’s an estimated 500k-2M defensive uses of a gun. That’s a lot of rapes and victimization prevented. Guns are especially a great equalizer for women and smaller dudes. But even us being bigger than average, I’m not fist fighting my way out. If a criminal comes at me or my family I want to most effective tool available and I want it to be the most lopsided fight possible, not a fair fight.
People just don't have a care for human life like they used to man. We've had guns here forever. They actually used to be in the kids vehicles in high school back in the day. Guys would go hunt before or after school. Yet school shootings didn't happen then, the guns didn't come in the class. Something changed, and it wasn't the access to guns.
I already said it once, the root cause is sin. It's the heart of the person. Blame the gun all you want but it's the one pulling the trigger. So sure, take guns away, but you'll still have violence. Make your argument the casualty will be less, may be so. But you didn't fix the root of the problem by banning the gun

We live in broken world, full of broken and lost people. In a hard way for us to understand, Charlie is the lucky one, face to face with Jesus. He's up in heaven where this kind of crazy and hurt doesn't exist. I pray for his wife who lost her husband, and the children who lost their dad. My prayers are also with his parents, who will have to bury their son.
Charlie fought the good fight. He was for open dialog and discussion. Especially with people that disagreed. The world needs more Charlie's. And I think this tragic even will indeed bring about more Charlie's.
