+ 1 Body fat! And calipers.

ad

So, I know that the only way to truly measure body fat is to cut some one up and weigh it separately from the muscle.
Aside from that I hear being weighed under water is a good way.
But how much trust do you put in bathroom scales that tell you your body fat?
Are calipers better?
Should I consult a professional?
How do I get a good measure on my body fat?
What’s the most cost effective and accurate way that I can get a regular measurement ?

The percentage doesnt really matter as much as the mirror does. Same for the weight on the scale. Those body composition scales are good for seeing trends though, even if the number isnt accurate. Just use it at the saem time, under the same conditions, and youll see the direction youre heading. Drink the same amount of water every day, track it like your macros. That way theres less variance based on hydration.

Don't stress it honestly. Cut until you have good ab separation and then bulk until you are close to losing them.

If you really do want to know, get a Dexa scan. You could also use the navy rope and choke method plus calipers and average them out. Scales are usually pretty far off maybe 5%.

I just heard about the scan thing yesterday. I’m going to look into it. Thank you.
But I do like the idea of using a few methods then averaging it out. That’s pretty smart.
