+ 4 Have you had success with depression?
I figure many of us are cut from similar cloth, a little unstable perhaps? Not everyone who uses gear is obviously but many.
The last couple months have been rough, I really went backwards on health and fitness. Its like all my drive and will has been crushed. Its happened many times before and I just dont get why. I've got that depression that makes me exhausted and desire sleeping whenever possible.
Can't blast test my way out of this one unfortunately!
I've always refused to get on anti depressants, seems like poison and people end up stuck on em etc... Done tons of therapy, tried different shrinks, not very effective.
Looking into alternative stuff now, magic mushrooms, ketamine therapy, iboga.
The ketamine therapy available near me wants 1800 bucks for a session which seems a tad insane, but if it provides the desire to live again it might be worth it.
Its quite possible my life just sucks ass and I cant figure out what needs to change, but I dont see it as being particularly bad.

Oh hell no. This is no microdose. This is a sublingual tab. I don’t remember the dose. 800mg? Something like that. If what I experienced is mild, then holy shit I’d love to try it at a clinic.
This was a tab made by a compounding pharmacy. Hold it under the tongue for like 5 minutes then spit everything out.
I never had the balls to do more than 1 at a time. And I like to push the limit.
Just sent you a friend request brother have a question for you.
Got you
Ahh ok. That makes sense. Wait you spit it all out after 5 mins? I wonder how if you spit a decent amount out vs swallowing. Was it all dissolved? Only saliva left in your mouth or were there unddisolved chuncks? I held the gelly in my mouth for like 40 mins then swallowed all that lol. It was pretty gross. I had 300mg in 10 30mg gel things.
It was a great experience, it definitely helped my depression, but... I felt like I was wasting so much. I could only find the jellies at the time.
800mg... thats like 4 nice little "booster" dose for me. That can last me like 3 months.
Did you have to do zoom sessions with a therapist every day at first?
If youre considering taking more than one... I think there a ceiling with K. There comes a point where itll get as intense at its gonna be, thats pretty much a Hole. Once youre in a hole, dosing more wont make the effect more intense necessarily, itll usually just extend the experience, impo. Ive done some big doses and usually it just keeps you on your ass twice as long. Itll be twice as long before you can walk straight. Not recommending you try more! Just saying.
Yeah man, that's a rough one. I've dealt with similar crashes before, and for me, depression tends to show up when I don't have a sense of purpose, a goal I'm working toward, or something to look forward to. It becomes especially apparent when work feels stagnant, relationships aren't where I'd like them to be, or I just don't have a reason to get excited about getting out of bed in the morning.
This might sound cliché, but start with the small stuff. Make your bed every morning. It's a simple task, but it's something you can accomplish right away, and sometimes stacking small wins is how you start building momentum again. At the very least, you come home to a made bed.
The other thing that stands out is that this sounds like a recurring pattern, not just a bad couple of months. Before dropping a fortune on ketamine therapy or jumping straight into alternative treatments, I'd want to rule out the basics. Get comprehensive bloodwork done, CBC, CMP, thyroid, ferritin, iron, B12, vitamin D, testosterone, estradiol, and anything else that could be contributing. Make sure your sleep quality is actually good too. Sleep apnea, hormonal issues, burnout, and depression can all look remarkably similar.
I'd also be careful about automatically dismissing antidepressants as poison. They're definitely not for everyone, and some people don't tolerate them well, but they've also helped a lot of people. As for the alternatives, ketamine probably has the strongest evidence behind it for treatment-resistant depression, psilocybin looks promising, and ibogaine is the one I'd approach with the most caution due to the risks involved.
Most importantly, if you're finding yourself completely crushed or questioning your desire to keep pushing forward, take that seriously and talk with a qualified medical professional. The fact that more testosterone isn't fixing it is actually a pretty good sign that the issue may run deeper than hormones alone. Sometimes the answer isn't another compound, it's figuring out what's causing the cycle in the first place.
The clinics... ive seen they use some massive doses. I personally dont think its necessary. If you can find a cheap source, and only use it as needed... a small amount can last a while.
I believe they'll give people upwards of a half gram or even alot more per session. Usually lasts an hr.
I can get the same benefit on 100-150mg. I dont think you need the doses these clinics push. Maybe initially, but for "booster shots" every month or so... thats all I need to maintain. Small little dose every month or so. If im in a funk... thats what makes it easy to... jump out of bed, make it, shower, eat well, exersize etc... it makes it so easy to transition to a healthy lifestyle from a funk.
You know how sometimes that the hardest part. The first step! Ket can give you that motivation. Itll help you find that motivation/want. It can switch your head on like a light switch from feeling sorry for yourself to... believing that youre gonna make better choices from here on out, simply bc... you know its gonna make you feel better.
When im depressed, its usually bc im unhappy with my current situation or where I know my life is going. Im depressed when I know im not doing what I need to be doing. When im unorganized/unprepared. If I feel like im not in control of my own destiny.
My trick for mental health is to stay organized, that key, focus on my health/exersize bc... if im not feeling physically strong, I can NOT feel mentally strong. Starts with exersize. And handle my responsibilities. When im not handling my sht I get depressed and spiral.
You’re on fire lately. Excellent post.
thanks man
My bad im responding to everybody i dont mean to just make it seem like im talking at you bro.

Microdosing mushrooms can have a really profound effect on depression I grind up them up get 00 gelatin caps each cap holds about .35 grams which imo is perfect microdose take one a day if you wanna feel a little more take 2 wanna go for a ride take 10 that’s an eighth lol good luck tho man depression can be a motherfucker.
I just capsules some up, not sure how much I got in there i dont have an accurate enough scale lol. Took the first one yesterday, kind of gave me a stomach ache
I’ve done 0.1 to 0.3 several times for microdosing. Has helped with depression, mental clarity, or just needing an overall “reset” . Done this multiple times over the years and my experience is I go from feeling like I can’t take anymore stress or worry, to being at work or in the middle of something and saying to myself “damn, I didn’t realize I haven’t been stress or depressed or anxiety ridden and I don’t know what day it actually happened.” It’s not a silver bullet, but from a guy that has been thru addiction and prescribed all types of SSRI’s , I can report I no longer do drugs and haven’t been on meds since 2012. Good luck
