+ 4 Have you had success with depression?
I figure many of us are cut from similar cloth, a little unstable perhaps? Not everyone who uses gear is obviously but many.
The last couple months have been rough, I really went backwards on health and fitness. Its like all my drive and will has been crushed. Its happened many times before and I just dont get why. I've got that depression that makes me exhausted and desire sleeping whenever possible.
Can't blast test my way out of this one unfortunately!
I've always refused to get on anti depressants, seems like poison and people end up stuck on em etc... Done tons of therapy, tried different shrinks, not very effective.
Looking into alternative stuff now, magic mushrooms, ketamine therapy, iboga.
The ketamine therapy available near me wants 1800 bucks for a session which seems a tad insane, but if it provides the desire to live again it might be worth it.
Its quite possible my life just sucks ass and I cant figure out what needs to change, but I dont see it as being particularly bad.

Either you have a chemical imbalance in your brain or your life needs the negative things changed.
I recommend anti depressants mate, they work for me, ketamine, mushrooms or what ever the fuck will make you way worse in the long run.
Take a mild anti depressant every morning, only cycle testosterone and control estro properly and you should be good.
Stay away from tren and deca mate, test only.
Dont go down the other path you will end up an addict.
Good luck.

(I just copied and pasted this from below after @press1 asked me to weigh in)
I didn’t read though the whole thread as I’ve been super busy with work, kids and hopefully the gym!
But you’re all talking about me the Ket infusion treatment right? It’s benefits for pain and depression etc.
First off, It’s nothing like having it at a party or whatever, This is medical grade IV ketamine that they administer In hospital over a 4 to 5 days visit.
They slowly increase the dosage up, And you need to do a few rounds and get your threshold way up for it to start having a therapeutic effect.
So let me tell you the first time I did it was really not as great as I was hoping. It kind of felt okay at first. As I sat there and watched the liquid spiral around the tube and slowly enter my vain, then you pretty much start feeling the effects straight away (obviously). Then they turn up the dosage every six hours. Maybe even 12 hours depending on how you react. They grow up to a point that you are pretty much incapacitated and not able to even get up for a piss. This is when they might turn it down because it becomes a risk, I’m not a small guy so the hospital staff didn’t want to have to try to pick me up off the floor if I fell trying to get out of bed.
So beware, it is super strong stuff and the first time can be a little bit disheartening I guess is the word. I felt quite an anxious. I was tripping out of my mind, they gave me diazepam regularly to try and combat my anxiety which I have been on for many years anyway.
Some people may react differently of course but my experience was not so pleasant and I felt pretty ill for that whole week. I was in hospital.
Now, the second time I went in was a bit better.
I wasn’t going to do it again, but I thought I may as well. I’ve come this far and paid the money. My pain specialist assured me that it would start having some better effects if I persisted through with it.
So I did, and I can definitely say it’s helped with my back pain after my spinal fusion, to some degree anyway. But mentally, I felt really clear and positive for the first time in a long time! Once the stuff leaves your body, which kind of feels like you’ve been poisoned for five days, you come out of the cloud and feel great.
So if you can find a healthcare provider that will help you out with the costs Or if you have the money to do it in a private clinic, I say, give it a go.
But it’s not like you’re sitting there having a great old time on the gear! Kind of bugged up my TRT routine because I was unable to perform self injections. But that was just for five days to a week. So I wasn’t too much of an issue.
Let me know if anyone has any more questions about it happy to answer.
I’ve tried literally everything besides ketamine therapy. My success from depression happened almost two years ago. Lying on my couch all day sipping on kratom to cope, not having the energy to workout, I reached my breaking point and decided to see if I could order steroids online. 15 minutes later I made my first order. I went from spending all day on my couch and forcing myself through a 40 hour work week to working 40 hours of overtime a week feeling better than I have in my life while doing what used to be torture. All my lifelong anxiety, depression, joint pain, fatigue, inability to focus went away and I became calm, collected, content and ripped. My wellbeing had improved so much I’ve spent over $30,000 on gear and peptides since then figuring out what works best. Never stop looking for a solution.
Unfortunately I have to be medicated, been for most of my life
Doesn't happen often but there will always be those days when you run gear long enough. I just tell myself it's the gear, because it probably is, push myself through my workout that day. Afterwards I know I accomplished something real. Life tried to ruin my day, fuck with my head, but I said Fuck You and I didn't let it. Wash, rinse, repeat. Also just walking in the gym and knowing you're the biggest guy in there has it's own way of warding off those depression demons. Keep making those gains. Hang in there bud. Life is amazing, just don't stare down those dark alleys too long. Also for me a handful of Dbols makes it damn near impossible to stay depressed.
Man brother I’ve had my fair share of depression most recently was after my discharge from the navy. Spent 9 days in psychiatric ward.
I’ve spent the last year lost without a purpose sad my wife couldn’t help but she sure does try.
I eventually decided that getting help “therapy” after finally building up the strength to discuss the trauma of the navy with my wife. Things aren’t okay still but you know what they are a lot better my communication is top tier I feel now I’m able to express myself a lot better and channel my feelings into positive things.
It’s hard in this world as a man and the last thing any of us men wants to do is disappoint our loved ones especially our partner you know that saying get comfortable being uncomfortable. Fuck that get help it’s okay to cry and vent and all that stuff it doesn’t make you less of a man or any of that bs people say. You’re your biggest advocate only you have the power to make change I hope you’re doing alright if you need to talk my pm open.

Medication works, I take Wellbutrin every night it seems to take the edge off
Whatre the pros and cons of it? Whats it feel like?
It doesn’t feel like anything it makes you not depressed
Good post. Can not be easy to open up, share, and ask for advice on a subject such as this.
First, while I dont know you, I highly doubt "your life just sucks ass".
Clearly you are smart & self aware to recognize that you have an issue. Also you have enough balls to keep actively searching for a solution. Those traits are admirable.
I too am against "anti depressants" as I have seen first hand the many dangerous side effects that can occur. As I got older , a little test totally changed my mental outlook & energy levels.
On occasion, I do microdose mushroom also.
However the simplest most effective way to combat depression is simple, move your ass.
Most all depression occurs when we sit alone & think. Do not isolate yourself. Keep it moving.
I guarantee, If your ass is moving it is virtually impossible to be depressed. Any physical activity will accomplish this. From running, to hiking, to swimming, to biking, to playing a sport, to even just walking. When your ass is moving your metabolism kicks up, you sweat out impurities, and life giving oxygen fills the blood.
If you consistently & mindfully keep it moving. IF you combine that with good habits like a lock down diet, great sleep, and few good prayers, you will be well on the right track. Hope this helps. Keep on brother.
You know I really do think that's good advice up to a point, but I have so often had a dialed gym routine, diet, sleep, lots of fun activities, a little bit of human interaction etc and just hit a wall of dread and burn out and trying to keep going is fruitless, I cannot drag myself on any more and the things I find fun and engaging in good times are just painful
I know it is hard. Lots of us do. You are not alone. It is something that is always there. A never ending battle.
Key word is battle.
The battle is not fun nor easy. But we know we have to fight.
I feel people in athletics understand more about this than those who don't.
We athletes & bodybuilders have to always battle our Inner Bitch. The little voice that wants to stop the set before failure. That wants to dump the diet and eat a bowl of ice cream. That wants to stay in bed with the lights out.
We sportsman battle that Inner Bitch all the time. Sometimes we just have to bitchslap our own egos.
We recognize the issue, understand the issue, and combat that issue. I understand & totally sympathize. It is not easy and I wont pretend it is. But as you know, the fight is worth it. You are smart, self aware, and up the challenge. Just keep it moving.
That's because dedication to a gym routine and everything else that revolves around the lifestyle is tiring in itself mate - it takes a LOT of effort doing everything right day in day out. If you are then trying to carry on outside of this like one of your pals who doesn't train then it will exhaust you because all of your energy goes into the gym. You will need MORE sleep and recovery than they do. It ends up leading to burnout especially with a job tucked in there too. Spend Monday to Friday focusing on training, rest, sleep and nutrition/gear and then the weekend for social and extra activities if you want to balance things more easily and feel better within yourself mate.
How many days per week are you training? It sounds like you are overtraining and burning yourself out too. You should be training 2 days on and 1 days rest OR EOD works well too.
Often times training 5 or 6 days a week, and lately I've been working 2 weeks consecutive at work of 10-12 hours days, which is a real bitch. Away from home and routine. Im looking for a less retarded job.
Always have and likely always will. I’ve used SSRI (Zoloft) before when I was younger and I found it helped me. I didn’t use a large dose, the lowest they would give me until I could make the mental changes necessary to stand on my own again.
Reading has helped me a lot, not the self help shit you see online but books I actually enjoyed. Something to excite me, something to think on, something to help the time go by without negative thoughts.
Secondly, I think one of the best things is forcing yourself to do certain things that will make you feel better. Working out, cleaning the house up, prepping some meals. Those small wins compound a lot every day and help you get the pendulum swinging the right way again.
Good luck and I hope you do well and better bro, don’t get discouraged because of the small setback. Progress is not always linear. Keep it up
Test up a little and keep e2 down. If you keep busy nonstop you have no time for depression. Two hours a day in the gym also.
Look into cognitive behavioral therapy. One option to get started is the audio book “Feeling Great” by David Burns. CBT trains you to challenge your negative thoughts and reason through the thoughts that are bringing you down.
Not really man it's just something I have to live with
I feel that, hoping to find something new... sick of setbacks
Looking to find something new? Make something new! You control all that shit dog! But allowing the depression to control and determine your day to day ain't where it's at.
I've been through allot of shit my boy. I've been could've let that shit define me, but instead I've pushed through. Pushed through some of the hardest things I've ever been through. Shit that would make most give up. I get it! But yes gotta just pick up and move on. Find that something new and try to make something out of it. Don't let that shit control you and have you thinking you can't. Because you can
Interesting thread, brother.
I’ve definitely dealt with depression in the past. For me, finding a new purpose and something meaningful to pursue brought me back to life. These days I’m very grateful for my life, but if I’m being honest, I don’t think I’m the same person I was 10-15 years ago.
I used to be more energetic, more excited, and more naturally happy. Nowadays I’m much calmer and more stable, but I also wonder sometimes whether what I experience is mild depression, anhedonia, burnout, or maybe even something on the spectrum. It doesn’t cripple my life, but I can definitely see how it affects productivity, motivation, social interactions, and my overall drive.
After reading all these experiences, I’m genuinely curious about ketamine therapy, especially the sublingual route.
For those of you who have actually done it:
Total newbie questions lol
One thing I really dislike about traditional SSRIs is the potential impact on libido, emotional blunting, and feeling disconnected from yourself. That’s always been my biggest hesitation.
My interest would be using ketamine as a tool, not as something I become dependent on.
Is that realistic?
Can it be used occasionally when you’re in a serious funk, or does it become something you need regularly to maintain the benefits?
And for those using the sublingual tablets:
I have zero interest in IV therapy personally. I’m a control freak when it comes to what I put into my body lol
I’d much rather explore a route that allows me to manage the process myself.
Any insight from people with real experience would be greatly appreciated.
And don’t worry… I’ve already got enough addictions. I’ll stick to AAS for those lmao…
Have a look at my comment, buddy. You’ve got zero control Once it takes hold of you. Had some good post procedure effects but had to do multiple sessions. Have a read of my comment and let me know if you have any questions about it. I haven’t had the time to read through everyone’s comments, but I’m sure a lot of people said similar stuff. Or had a completely different experience as that’s how it is. <3
@Pandateston I got started after i decided to quit drinking and drugs and wanted to fix the reason i was doing those things.
For ketamine feels like nothing else. It does not feel like recreational nasal ketamine. Iv is a different animal. Its like being slingshot or dropped into a cartoon in a way. Often make peace with death, traumas or struggles.
Ive not had any negatives tbh, it has given me a normal life and i think itll be mainstream in a few decades. Maybe slightly losser associations, but ina positive way. I do go every 6 to 8 weeks but even if i never went back, im permanently in a better place. There are alot of videos on how the neural plasticity literally heals your brain. Keeps your brain out of fight or flight if you have any type of post trauma.
A common theme i always walk away with is that nothing matters, but in a good way. Our only job in this life as humans is to reproduce (if its in the cards for you) and to be happy. Nothing else matters. The contentedness is worth the money alone. I wouldnt have been working out for the last 2 yrs pre ketamine. No way, i was too unorganized and had no discipline. I would advise against the troches tbh, the places that do those charge iv prices and they give you a bucket of healing vs the ocean you recieve through iv treatment.
Troches frm places like mood could help w mood boosting, but i never got any healing from it. You in no way have to be dependent on it brother, you can do 4 or 5 treatments over a 2 week period and never go back. You will be permanently in a better place, but the ultimate state is through maintenance imo. Milage may vary.
I totally understand where you’re coming from, brother.
My situation is probably much milder, so I’ll likely take a more conservative approach if I ever decide to explore it. For now, I’m going to spend some time doing a deep dive into the research and hearing different experiences before making any decisions.
I see it more as a potential tool than a solution to everything.
Also, I really appreciate you taking the time to PM me to make sure I understood your point correctly. That was very thoughtful of you and honestly pretty rare these days.
Thanks again, big bro !
GUYS I SHOULD HAVE MADE THIS CLEAR:
THE IV TREATMENTS IM TALKING ABOUT ARE IN A CLINIC, ADMINISTERED BY A DR.
Ketamine is not safe to do diy IV, they monitor your blood pressure and the subanesthetic dose is very dangerous without monitoring. DO NOT TRY THIS YOURSELF, YOU WILL LIKELY DIE.
I Hope @Jimmy1048 doesn't mind me saying he did this not so long ago. Can you give these guys any insight on this buddy?
Hey matey!

Its so hard to describe. Have you ever taken nitrous oxide at the dentist? Nitrous is in the same family of... dissasociative. There are other illegal drugs I wont mention. Its somewhat similar to nitrous at the dentist. You start out consious/present, then slowly start drifting off into... different dimensions/worlds. Sometimes I feel like im slipping through layers of earth. (I know this doesn't sound appealing) but... youre not panicked. Its not like other psychadelics where theres a great risk of having a bad trip.
Alot of people have difficulty "surrendering" in life. Knowing when its a good time to let go and "swin with the current" rather than fight reality. Psychedelics but specifically ketamine has helped me learn how to practice "letting go." Ive been able to incorporate that into real life.
There are moments while on ketamine where you may feel... a sense of pressure building up. Almost like youre a tea kettle and the pressure builds and builds and builds and you get more and more stressed for a min or so... youll think "whats happening, when is this gonna end?" And at the last possible sec, right before it feels like youre gonna explode, your body relaxes and all that goes away instantly. Idk if that makes any sense. It's somthing I feel regularly.
What I just described is really the scariest worst feeling ive ever experienced on it. Its not bad at all. Id say its just uncomfortable for a moment. Bliss when that surrender happens.
I used ketamine when I was younger mostly at raves/concerts and after to come down. I always noticed i felt amazing the next day when everyone else felt depressed.
Ive abused it. Ive abused plenty of other drugs.
I always say I can get addicted to anything if im in a funk. But... its something that can be used responsibly. I discovered its ability to halt depression... maybe 6 years ago I took some at the end of an opiate detox. Brought me right out of depression.
I'll use it in one small little dose, as needed which is usually once a month. At least every 3 months I seem to require a booster dose. Or... if im feeling like I wanna drink, a small dose is enough to get me through any thoughts of drinking/drugging.
Its been such a positive effect on my life, all my Doctors, even my mother knows i use it.
So... yes I reserve it for... if im in a funk, if im feeling vulnerable to relapse, or... I do take recreationally still. But... idk... personally... I think you can find spiritually during recreation
I think everyone could benefit from ketamine therapy. I wish I could travel the world planting little ketamine bushes everywhere Johnny ketamine. Its amazing for relationship/couples therapy.
My sister has seen how well its worked for me, we're trying to convince our Mom to do it lol, shes in her golden years. If any of us need it is here lol.
Theres so many youtube videos of testimonials. Check some out. "Ketamine testimonial" listen to some real experiences from people.
Very good write up! So true abt it not being anxious like other psychadelics. I always wanted psilocybin to be over after a few hrs. But the ketamine, you want to stay in there lol
The pressure/ buildup is very real, i get it every time and now welcome it. The friction feels like its part of the journey and the build up and release is in a way orgasmic lol
Brooo, I really appreciate you taking the time to write all of that out.
That was probably one of the best firsthand explanations I’ve heard so far, especially coming from someone who’s experienced both the recreational and therapeutic side of it.
The part about surrendering and learning to let go actually resonates with me a lot. I can definitely see how that could translate into real life.
I’m going to do a pretty deep dive into the research before I decide whether it’s something I want to try, but your experience has definitely made me more curious about it.
I also appreciate your honesty regarding abuse potential, dependency, and how you personally use it as a tool rather than something you rely on constantly. That’s exactly the perspective I was hoping to hear.
Thanks again, brother. Plenty for me to think about and research. I’ll definitely check out some of those testimonials and keep an open mind !
I babble so much on here. Ill reread my comments sometimes... some must read like im zooming on Adderall lol. I probably should be lol thats probably the issue.
I appreciate that man! I hope amongst the babble I drop some gems here n there that help somebody in some way! Appreciate ya saying that! Respect!
Im pretty quiet in real life. Dont talk/socialize much. Ive been a hermit since covid. It keeps me out of trouble! If I leave my house, I could end up anywhere with a couple bad decisions lol. Im safe here with you guys
Hope I can help some younger guys before they make the same mistakes I have.
Very well said, thank you
IV Ketamine therapy was an off switch for me. I tried everything else and wish i had started here. I have post trauma and treatment resistive depression and its improved my life by an order of magnitude. I often tell people im a normal person now, the change was so profound. Do not bother with the spravato, its much less effectove and expensive. It needs to be iv, and you need to do several to start within a week or 2 then a maintenance session every month or two. I'M not kidding when i say its an off switch for the pain. I also have a compounded take-home nasal spray of ketamine and i use it to microdose as needed. I really hope you give this a try bro, it has saved my life as i know it and possibly even my living life. Best luck, get some noise cancelling headphones, a blanket and be sure to pick music without any words in it. I suggest stuff by hot sugar, dirty art club etc trust me that music is made for this exact therapy and will really help the healing.
You will see behind the curtain and make peace with all of everything. Dm me if you have any questions, ive been doing this for almost 3 years now.
Hey so you did the infusions at a clinic? Do you know what dose they gave you? And... do they have a digit machine that feeds out precice amounts? Like a mechanical drip? Or just a normal bag?
Im always so glad to hear its helped ya! Im always curious to hear peoples specific protocals bc ive talked to so many different clinics and alot seem to have different protocals.
Should be available to everyone that needs it. Cheap.
Yes i do them in a clinic, hooked up to a blood pressure monitor. The monitor is annoying af lol. I should have specified that. Im up to 75mg now and they shoot it into an iv bag and it drips for an hour.
Yes it should be much cheaper than it is. The compound is dirt cheap, the price comes from the dr, and the nurse overhead as they have to make sure nobody gets high bp bc it does elevate it. I cant believe i didnt specify that its w a dr. Lol i put a reply to my comment up explaining.
100% I think the music/media you consume is really the most important thing.
I got stuck in a 10 min peppa pig video one time, i thought I was gonna be in there forever. That was a nightmare. I had to go back in redo it with... ive got like 5 tool songs I listen to on it.. put me in a good head every time.
Do you have an opinion on the S vs R isomer vs both? Most Ket ive ever had feels pretty much the same.
I wonder if they just needed a new drug to patent bc Ketamines must have expired years ago. Needed a new way to make money.
So the compounding pharmacy is half r half s. So i cant speak to the differences. I tried some rec street ket (was clean) but it just wasnt the same as the iv so i dont bother tbh. Also, it felt too much like picking up since im now sober so i just go w the dr.
Good shit. This makes me want to try IV.
I dont feel comfotable talking about IV on here. I will in pm. I just dont feel good promoting that route of administration on this site.
Once you cross that line, and youre now an official "IV" user. You might think differently about yourself. You might lose a little dignity/self respect. Might lose alot. It can open a door you dont want open. Better off keeping that commitment of "ill never iv anything."
However, under doctors supervision!... from my experience, its not any more instense, its that they put you on a drip so you have a steady, consistent dose being administered. Keep you on a smooth ride vs up n down fluctuations of redosing every 15 mins.
100% mate. Way more intense.. and properly supervised in a professional environment. This is not something you wanna mess around with at home. You need to have someone to look after you if you’re going to push to the threshold that’s therapeutic..
Oh shit, i just realized that i should have said the iv ket is in a clinic and with my dr. Im hooked up to a bp machine and nurse checks on me the whole time. do not Do iv ketamine without a dr holy shit lol
Its cool the moderators have let this conversation rock. Its legal now so, i didnt think it would be an issue. We're obviously talking about everything through a doctors supervision.
Its too bad it has such a stigma attached to it from the decades of ppl abusing it on the street. Its saving lives, getting people off harmful addictions. So... I feel like its spreading awareness. Ive never seen anything pull anyone out of a depression as quickly and effectively as this.
You wont be disappointed bro
1000% ketamine therapy. Id really recommend doing it at a clinic first. Or... with someone that knows the process of the clinics. Its very easy for it to go bad under the wrong settings and you come out with your depression worse. I dont recommend just buying it on the street and taking it. Have someone who knows the process and can provide an envioenment thats safe and conducive to healing. Its available online now very easily. I think to all states. They do provide at home kits. The process is safe enough where theyre obviously letting people do it at home themselves. I saw you can even order infusions, IV, right to your door to do at home lol. I think the guidence is really important. Its not a cure but when combined with therapy... its worked better for me than anything else to... knock me out of funks. Honestly the most important thing is to consume good/positive media while youre in the experience. Mellow sounds, binaural beats, uplifting music that evict positive emotions. Most of the time, if youre in a safe setting with nice music, youre gonna have a positive experience. Youll come out of it.... like "wtf what even that!? Feeling blissful, happy to be alive and breathing."
ill talk anyone's ear off about ketamine therapy. Im so glad its widely accepted as therapy these days.
I really do think we need to rethink how we're educating people about thes things and drugs.
Rogan used to talk about having educational centers or... maybe classes for students to teach the truth /history behind psychadelics/drugs. Teach kids to respect each drug individually vs lumping everything into the "drugs are bad catagory."
Pass a law maybe mandate congress/potus to an ibogaine session lol
The VA has actually approved trial testing with it and troops/veterans with PTSD.. looks promising
I went out and celebrated the day they signed that executive order. Its about damn time.
Ive always believed "they" have kept these medicines/sacraments from us bc they know the power they have to heal/unite people.
I don't think its that malicious, I just think the govt is incompetent and requires too much red tape to get anything done... Unless somehow is going to make someone richer, then policies are easy to push through.
VA is allowing cannabis research/trial testing as well. With all the recent studies on how some people become psychotic on it, I bet cannabis will not be a "govt sponsored therapy" but who knows
I did ketamine therapy in my home.
The price for the sublingual tabs was about the same as TRT. Maybe a bit more.
Definitely recommend.
You can get prescribed online. Super easy. There are many options.
How many did you have to eat to feel an effect? I feel like its such a waste sublingual. Great for microdosing but I felt like I was wasting at least half, if I wanted anything other than a microdose.
