How does donating blood compare to donating plasma?
hunteron20sWell depends on why you are donating. .If you are donating becuase you have high rbc count or iron is to high aka hematocrit then donate double red blood cell .plasma is plasma not just blood .
Does it take 2-3 hours like plasma does sometimes? I've only ever donated plasma. What do you mean double red blood cell?
hunteron20sI went becuase my iron was 52% to high ..i was breathing heavier and my heart was working harder..so they had told me to fix that was double red blood cell .it takes maybe 30 minutes or up to a hour .depends on how thick the blood is ..do you know what your hemocratic levels are ?
Right before thanksgiving it was 49.6. Pic is on profile. Been off since September.
hunteron20sI saw your test level was super low and estrogen was super high and eelevated alt .you did have high rbc count as well .did you fix the estrogen and test levels?
Yes I had bloods drawn 2 weeks ago. They called me with the results but I'm having trouble with the patient portal or else I'd post them.

E2 was 59, still high but much better than before. They said test was in the normal range so I asked for hard copy or email. Then she went into the patient portal spiel.

I used a doc for my last two labs, one which is not posted. Online for the one showing high e2.
hunteron20sOk makes sense. .check into double red blood cell donation ..you can only do that every 4 months ..its worth it ..
