Masteron and baldness

ad

Will masteron or proviron use cause baldness in people not genetically prone?

zeb0312's picture

Anything is possible but if you're not prone to mpb then most likely not, but again everyone is different and reacts differently...

I wouldn't say baldness. But it has definitely thinned me out tho and my family all has there hair

If you do not have the gene for male pattern baldness, then you will not lose your hair even with these--just look at Jay Cutler as an example. He has ran a boat load of gear and still has the same thickness and hairline. If you are pre-disposed to hairloss, I would not use these because it will accelerate hairloss for certain.

I have to disagree there bro.... not one bald person in my family...... but masteron makes me shed something terrible.

damn, really...I didn't think it would, but I guess anything is possible. I have never tried masteron, but now it is definitely off the list because mpb runs in my family.

Yes sir,

Anavar....Winstrol do nothing to my hair line.

I have no idea why....maybe dose related?

Thanks for all the info. Good stuff

Masteron, Winstrol, anadrol, primobolan, anavar are the steroids which breakdown to dht and proviron is also broke down to dht. Dht is the cause for baldness along with genetics.

You can get a dht blocker. But it makes the effectiveness of whatever you're taking slightly less. Like dutasteride and finasteride. There are natural dht blockers as well such as green tea, pumpkin seeds, saw palmetto, pygeum bark, giant dodder, Muira Puama,Gotu Kola, along with a few others. L-lysine is known to accelerate those substances to aide in regrowth of hair and the effectiveness of the blocking of dht

I just want to add that finasteride and dutasteride's method of action is by blocking the 5ar enzyme (type1 / type 2 / or both). These enzymes are converted to DHT which then attacks the hair follicle and causes it to eventually die. Finasteride only blocks type 1 and dustasteride blocks both. FInasteride or Dutasteride will not work on DHT derived steroids because these don't go through the 5ar conversion--they just add more DHT to the system.
I don't believe in the natural DHT blockers as there really hasn't been any conclusive scientific evidence.

Yea my bad those drugs block the process of testosterone converting to dht. Not actually blocking dht itself. Thanks
For
Correcting me

Ronburgundy's picture

No worries. I've been corrected plenty of times, that is how we learn...

This really isn't accurate at all bro. Most of those compounds are DHT derivatives, they're not broken down into DHT. And DHT "blockers" like finasteride or durasteride work by preventing the conversion of testosterone to DHT. It does not prevent the compounds that are already DHT derivatives from acting on hair follicles.

As for all of those natural substances you listed I don't know if there is any legit research to back up your claims. Topical Minoxidil (rogaine) is one of the few shown to help with MPB and it works by a different mechanism than blocking DHT. Even Nizoral probably isn't effective because (while it's mechanism isn't totally understood) it too likely works by preventing conversion of Test to DHT.

Yea like I stated above. I stand corrected now. But as for the natural routes they work but not significantly like drugs. They're a lifestyle change and addition. It won't be overnight. I'd take my chances adding any extra additions to my diet of it has a chance to possibly help.

Steroids which are DHT based such as Masteron and Proviron can cause baldness in anybody genetically prone or not.

Mast is probably near the top of the list, I'd say proviron is near the bottom as far as "proneness" is concerned.
