This was a PM that was sent to me 4yrs ago. I didn’t intitiate the PM. It was just some cat who felt the impact of what the EBC can do to your spirit. The other day after speaking to someone in PM I decided to read all of the old threads and I found this a post I made sharing this PM. Talk about sealing the deal on my committment to the EBC again. I immediately reached out to BFG and the Mods hoping we could see the EBC back in full effect. Peep this:

Hey Carlos,
Just wanted to say thanks, I have never competed in my life before. To be honest, my AAS cycles previous had me believe AAS wasn't for me. I was down, I was depressed, and my advisors for my PHD had me convinced that in order to finish I'd have to quit my working out all together and become a fat ass.
Then your EBC came up, I thought "wow, this seems like something I want to do". I was hesitant there after though, I like to win, in everything, so knowing the caliber of those I'd be competing against scared me (only for a bit). I then kept seeing the hype for it, I kept reading your posts and everyone's post and I said to myself "I can do this. And I will. It's not impossible to make an impact, to win even". But then something hit me hard during our time in the EBC, I started to realize I didn't care about winning anymore. I got excited when I would read updates on how everyone was changing their bodies. We all entered those mini contests and I would continuously check just to see who I could get more amped up about. I started thinking about these contestants outside of the Internet. When I wanted some ice cream or shit good Id think of those cutting calories down to nothing and realize I had the wi power. When I wanted go not go up in weight because I was tired I thought of those bulking trying to push "heavy ass weight!" I essentially felt like I was part of a bigger picture, I was part of a family. I felt my brothers and sisters presence every day o woke up and every day I killed it. I had their moral and positive spirits backing me every step of the way.
So why am I writing this big ass message to you, I promise it's not to waste your time. Shit it's not even to take a break from the endless mind numbing hours I've been studying for this final at 6. It's to say thanks Carlos. Thank you. You and your EBC was the bright light I needed to show me where I wanted to go with my life. Thanks for helping me with the positive attitude that I can do so much more than my mind use to tell me I could do. Thank you for the ability to look my advisors in the face and know that I can and I will lift every fucking day I want and will STILL get my phd in time. Man, I'm so thankful for you not giving up on the EBC. And this sir is why I'm writing you. One last time thank you. For whatever it's worth, I hope you know you changed my life with this competition. I hope you will continue to do them, and not let those bad apples ruin it for everyone else. Shit maybe together we can change lives of many, I know you started with mine.
