Welcome to propaganda in the 21st century. We are being lied to from both sides. There is some truth to what is being said by both sides. Like Drexel's link below has some truth. But is the population 1% right wing extremists or 80% doing this? We can go down a rabbit hole looking at such videos arguing the sins of the other side, tit for tat, tit for tat... and we will walk away confused, saddened and even less sure of the "truth".
Likewise, we can find videos of peaceful integration and collaboration.
As they always do, the world is going to pressure Israel to make a "Measured response" Which is fucked because it keeps the status quo.
It sucks because, like two feuding brothers hitting each other in the arm until one hits back a little too hard; the other cries to mom. Dad steps in with a threat. The brothers sit quietly stewing for a time until one, once again, hits the other in the arm.
That being said...
Hamas does not represent most of the Palestinian people. They have not had a fair election in years. Unless they are wiped out, future attacks are inevitable. Kind of makes me long for the days of Yasser Arafat and the PLO
Hamas may not represent the people but it would be wrong to say that a majority doesn't share their sentiment and extremist views.
I do agree with you but the only way to wipe out an ideology is to wipe out every living soul in that region and relocate them to a neighboring country with a shared mindset. Not really erasing it, but shifting it to a less strategic region.
I wouldn't be too sure about that. How many conservatives in the USA which are living in liberal areas are cowed into keeping their mouth shut for fear of retribution? The silent majority.

Hamas cries about Palestinian civilian structures getting wiped out, which is sad I agree but damn it doesn't help their situation when their military bases are in or close to civilian structures and they have tunnels under those same civilian structures. Just a cowardly move. If civilian structures get hit Hamas are part of the blame in my opinion.
Very true, already the papers over here are showing us images of a Hospital that was wiped out supposedly by an Israeli rocket that killed 500 people in there. A lot of us go off what they show us.

What I don't understand is Hamas takes issue with Hospitals and Schools being bombed and they should, but it doesn't help the situation when those same hospitals and schools have secret military tunnels below them used by Hamas. I can't speak on Israel but it's a fact that Hamas uses civilian structures to hide their military bases. That fact can't be argued. Bin Laden who represented Al Qaeda hid himself in a civilian location for many years. That's how they tend to operate. You can't find me but yet I'm hiding right in front of you. Well they are scared to go in now. Putin talked to Netanyahu on Monday and pretty much told him that Syria, Iran, Egypt, and the Palestinian Authority are on the same ship about an early ceasefire and the establishment of a humanitarian truce. So Israel is now second thinking this. With Biden going over there Wednesday though put a wrench in for Hezbollah because if they attack while a US president is on soil it changes the game. The stakes are rising.

I couldn’t agree more. I was raised to fight the bully, regardless the outcome, and to fight them hard. Bullies don’t like to be hit at all, so even if you lose, they’re not going to target you again because they know what the outcome will be.

I read an absolutely awful article this morning about the forensic scientists who's job it is to identify all the corpses who have been burnt, bombed and beheaded who cannot be identified by the normal methods as they are too disfigured. They had 300 bodies there laid up on beds in bags, many of them were 2 bodies fused together because in their dying moments these people accept their fate and hold each other. We are so damn lucky to be able to live in a reasonably safe and regulated society, we really have nothing much to moan about when you look at the lives of these poor unfortunate people.
And when they found burnt crowds huddled in rooms they had soot in their lungs meaning they were burnt alive. And that seemed to be the theme in each house, they were herded into one room.
Really? Unbelievable. Yea anytime soot is found in lungs at one point the individual was breathing. Sad.

Gaza is not important, it's expendable. Syria, Jordan, Egypt, also not important really. They're all going to be great asset for depleting the strength of their primary enemy in the middle east, all the time creating a larger humanitarian burden on the west and taking attention away from Ukraine and Russia. If the west becomes burdened enough, China will jump in by attacking Taiwan, if that happens it would probably be right before elections but we need the middle east to go in to full chaos for that to happen.
If they believe it can be a super extended war, they'll play the long game. Overall, ALL non allied sides will be winning pieces from the Israel/Palestine conflict.

Russia pulled the Monroe doctrine on the west and seems to want to trade within its neighboring empires. These countries are simply countering globalization. Kudos to them, we should follow suit and focus inward on our empire establishing trade with the Americas (north and south) and give the middle finger to European monarchy, but the kings and queens own us so we have to do their dirty work.

This is the crazy part, Israel were in talks with Saudia Arabia in order to come to some type of peace between the two and all of a sudden during these talks Hamas attacks Israel. Seems to me Hamas wants to keep Israel isolated in the middle east with no allies.
