Arnold Schwarzenegger

ad

I bring this up because of all the cholesterol talk lately and my own doctors concerns. So my man Arnold has had heart surgery for a faulty aorta valve. My question is, do you think its AAS related? Besides the steroid propaganda out there like the "Chris Benoit slaughtering his own family while on steroids" stories, what is the track record of the mega titans? I mean how much medical complications can possibly be tied to all our heroes we look up to? Are there lots of real heart stories and life threatening complications proven to be tied to the past mass body builders? If yes, do you think its because of lack of supplements, lack of bloodwork back then, or lack of enough education on it? Lots of questions here but pick one and lets discuss specific stories. I know times are different now but id like to here the toll it took. (Still wont change my mind on my own use)

Donald Trump is 1 year older than him and he has the regeneration powers of Wolverine lol. Old dont always mean you have to have a bad heart.

I think Arnolds Heart surgery was definitely related to AAS use. He may of had underlying heart issues before (which of course is what they all say) but just look at the amount of orals they ran back then. They didn't even realise that Dbol being a C17 damaged the liver - and they didn't just take several a day, they took them by the handful and that included winstrol also. Then all of a sudden loads of them were getting liver and heart disease which caused them to research the side effects a lot more deeply. Pretty much every guy that dies young and trains always has a heart attack, enlarged heart or 'previous heart issues' however they try to play it down.

These are the same type of guys that say they never ran more than 750mg test and 600 Deca when they stood on the Olympia stage Lol

Damn bro I've told people the same about these old timers ...Steve Michalik said they were even using taboo with
monkey or cadaver growth hormone in the 70s and acknowledged he knew a few guys that looked like they had signs of Acromegaly from taking it

Wow really? Mind you, you could say we are just as nuts - Taking Bull & Horse steroids isn't far off!! I mean who was actually nuts enough to see if taking trenbolone also worked on humans too - a farmer?? Lmao I always think it explains why cows act so weird when you walk up to them and try to stroke them.

Until i read of his just recent surgery i didnt know he has had so much massive work done on his heart. I mean he is lucky at his age to survive the latest but wow. His heart has taken a beating. But we all know what we are getting into and the possible price we will have to pay to be stronger and better. We can use all the excuses we want (libido, energy, etc) but we want to be bigger and stronger. Its the nature of man to want to be the alpha male.

I shared an article a while ago which stated with proof that the average IFBB pro bodybuilder had a lower mortality rate than the average American man, food for thought.

Its crazy to think the amount of abuse someone is putting their body through by eating shit food and living a sedentary lifestyle - a lot more than bulking to 300lbs / cutting down to 4% / injecting yourself with huge amounts of anabolics / diuretics / huge amounts of simple carbs / protein etc.

The study :

As we said before bro health is important but at the end of the day in this life it’s pick your poison and go with it.

While i'm not an american I've noticed that steroid users or bodybuilders in general seem to be a lot more proactive when it comes to their health than regular people. Things like organ support supplementation, doing bloodwork and things like that.

GrowMore's picture

Yeah, most run supplements to try and counter act all the negatives this lifestyle can produce. I find it crazy to think an IFBB pro has a high life expectancy than an average Joe from America.

DbolAndAll's picture

cause theyre running drugs that can potentially ruin them, why do you think they get bloodwork and get their hands on any and every supplement that will make a difference

blackjack115's picture

Obviously. But with that comes a better awareness of the state of your health and possible flaws and sensitivities you might have. Something the regular Joe doesn't really have.

With underlying health issues it's always hard to determine whether or not it's related to steroid use. But to me it's pretty clear that steroid use will excacerbate underlying issues and expose your genetic flaws.

Ide say he's followed a healthy living most of his life, still in great shape for his age. Steroid related? I doubt it very much. He's the goat of bodybuilding and his knowledge is supreme.

Chris benoit by the looks struggled for years, no one will ever know the real reason. Only he will.

From personal experience steroids and the lifestyle, can put you in a dark place at times. Some people find it easier some harder, such a vass field tho steroids linked to causing medical and mental problems.

Recently had a steroid injection in my shoulder from doctor, as bone moved away. His responce was we do not know the reaction you'll experience, as it differs for everyone.

Yeah reading further Arnold did have congenital heart disease so could have been there first. But question is which comes first? The chicken or the egg, right?

Johnny Bravo's picture

Fun fact of the day it was actually the egg. A genetic mutation in an egg of a related species created the first chicken egg.

Pumped_'s picture

Then what came first in that "related species" lol. But we know God created the chicken (related species) and instructed them to reproduce. But thats another forum topic i dont want to start here. Blum 3
