Kai Greene’s Grapefruit here. I assume some of yall might get the reference. If not, it’s easy to find online. He did fuck a grapefruit, however he did not fuck me . Allegedly. I just figured it would be a username that wasn’t already taken and would be a reminder to me not to take myself too seriously.
Anyway, on and off lurker here for almost 2 decades. Started lifting at 18. Never did a cycle till 27. At 31 I decided to take a break. Didn’t expect it to last almost 10 years but here we are. Became a total workaholic and have a very physically demanding career so I had put the gym (and PEDs) out of my mind/life. A few weeks ago I got a bad elbow dislocation, torn ligaments, etc. Between that and turning 40 a few months ago it gave me a good slap in the face. Can’t work for a couple months so I’ve had time to realize it’s time to get dialed in again.
Won’t be doing any compounds till I go to my bloodwork appointment and get the results. Ya can’t play doctor on yourself if you don’t even know the baseline and what you’ve got going on. PT twice a week. During my next appointment I’ll be touching base w her about needing to do some training while I’ve got all this time off. Even if it’s body weight squats. I didn’t realize how well my job helped me maintain strength and muscle until this injury. It’s insane how quickly it withers away.
Long story short, glad to have joined. I’ve gained a lot of understanding here over the years. Love the humor. I’ve left a few obscure comments since I joined the other day. Figure I better make an intro . Cheers yall
