Summer EBC Free For All 2013

HERE WE GO ! The summer free for all will be just that, a free for all and you will get to choose what your goal will be.
I will say this, it would be smart to use a standard goal such as recomp, cutter, bulker, stage ready etc etc etc. To just make up a goal that's not something standard might actually confuse a judge or all judges in that nothing to compare it to, nothing to reflect on. Stick to standard goals in fitness/ body building and it will serve you well.

Follow the compettion rules, give me 5 of the poses below with one extra pic containing the USA Today (6 pics total).
Give me a brief yet precise description of your cycle and goal and then BOOM, GET TO WORK!!!

  • Opening pics deadline will be July 5th, 2013 at midnight CST
  • Closing pics must be identical to opening and deadline is September 15th, 2013 CST.

Make sure the lighting and background are the same for the opening pics and the closing pics and have the same pose for opening and closing as well.....again, all 5.

I would say for a beginner, maybe, or Arm day, OK. But you would be hard pressed to find many, if any hard core lifters that will hit Chest and Back in the same routine.

I'm actual one of those people. It really boils down to the amount of volume that your do if you decide to hit 2 major body parts in the same day. You don't want to do a full chest day with a full back day. That would require to much TNE and Jack3d. In high school (during football) we would have squats, deads and bench in the same day and then a light day followed by and Olympic lifting day. It was strange but it worked. This below is a routine that I did that has chest and back in the same day.

That was my point working 2 major muscle groups in the same workout is not the norm due to the energy required to hit both thoroughly. I would anticipate the High School routine was more based on available time and what needed to be accomplished as opposed to best practices. The routine looks interesting but I don't think I would recover quick enough to use it.

Right. The high school was based on raw power and size. The Olympic lifts were more geared toward explosiveness. Actually the routine that we started to incorporate that really made a difference in everything in me is called "The Nebraska Cycle" it's a football routine but if you look at the build of a football player they are amazing.

As far as recovering you should recover quickly. If your diet is good and solid it shouldn't be a problem cause your sauced out of your mind. I know that it looks a little crazy but you'll actually be surprised with how you feel when done.

If it works for you, hey awesome but I will tell you why it would be dumb for me to take your approach.

1, because I train heavy and mean. I do 4 plates per side on deadlift for 5-6 sets, then bent over rows, now imagine doing chest after that, My chest work load would be severely watered down especially considering the fact that I am on 2000 calorie deficit from my norm.

  1. I get every bodybart in every 4-5 days, not 7 like everyone else, so my body can not afford to fatigue a bodypart like triceps twice in that time from, it would be insufficient time to heal. I can only fatigue each muscle group once because I train them so often (4-5 days).

  2. I take no rest days so I have no choice but to split up the big muscle groups.

Hey I appreciate your thought but it simply is not compatible with the way my body works.

you try doing bench, incline dumbbells, cables, pec dec, deadlifts, bent over rows, pull ups, lat pulldowns, all on the same day full intensity

no way in hell

I do chest/tri one day then back/bis on another day. When you are doing pull ups you are using your biceps anyways. Bent over rows also use a whole lot of biceps

I work Chest /Tris and Back /Bis then rotate to Chest/Bis and Back/Tris.. So I will work Chest/Tris Monday, Legs Tuesday, Back/Bis Wed, Legs/shoulders Thurs, Friday Rest. Rotate. This is not my exact schedule, Just an example

That's usually how I do it. But I still change it up every so often it's always a good idea to switching things up once in a while

Some shitbag stole my towel out of the Jacuzzi area, I was pissed off for like 2 hours after. Great session on the iron, then that to ruin my morning. I doubt it's done on purpose, just stupid morons at the gym.
Smashed chest and since ive chilled, I guess thats all that matters!!
Abs are coming aswell, sort of a zigzag look to em. I like!
