Cardio? When is best
ad
Hi guys when's the best time to do cardio?
Reading a lot of bro science about this topic.
Pre weights session or post weights session?
I've tried both, before makes me weak as piss,
After seems better for me.
Any input ?

If you are trying to build and cut it will take cardio in the morning and weights in the evening. Not sure about all body types but for the few people I have helped including my self this schedule has worked well for. I use to to cardio after weights. Not a good idea. Your muscle tissue is broke down and your body will try to use the muscle tissue for energy. First thing on a empty stomach. Make your body use stored energy aka fat. Earn your food. Ask yourself before every meal have I earned this. Works for me. But we are all different
depending on what you do for work skipping breakfast and working and not eating until lunch is much like fasted cardio in the morning. i do it all the time but you gotta eat like a fat man for the second half the day until bed. other wise id just stick to some high intensity intervals after you lift at night or whenever you go to the gym. just my 2 cents... good luck.
Your body burns foods proteins and carbs first , which is needed for weight training and power when that's gone it turns to fats and shit soo weights first cardio second. And am empty stomach cardio obviously if ya have time.
I'd have to say it depends on your goals. So let's say you just want to do cardio to maintain your metabolism and cardiovascular fitness while bulking I would say short sessions low intensity after lifting would be best. On the other hand, if cutting is the goal I would say fasting cardio in the am would probably yield the best results to drop body fat.
These are just my opinions based on my own trial and error and results I've seen in myself.
As below it's not possible for me to do am/pm training.
So I'll just do the cardio post lifting, the goal is cutting a few %bf at the moment...
Obviously diet is a contributer and that is fine.
I agree if you can't do it fasting am the after lifting would be best for cutting. Mix up days with some hiit and some low intensity days.
Best time would be not the same time you lift. So in the morning and lift at night or cardio at lunch lift at night etc. That would be best, but second best would be to do it after you lift. If you do it before you're just not gonna have the energy and intensity to lift.
Cheers for the reply...
Unfortunately am/pm training isn't a possibility.
So I'll just do cardio after I've done the lifting...
