Timing of hgh pre bed or morning
I recently just started taking hgh for the first time. I'm 3 days in doing 2iu per day. The first 2 days I took it before bed fasted and had the worst sleep I've had in months, literally just laying in bed tossing and turning got like maybe 4 hours of sporadic sleep. On the 3rd day I skipped the night time dosage and slept fine and just took it in the morning fasted and didn't eat for an hour after. Now my question to those out there that have more experience with hgh is does the sleep disruption from taking it at night get better or should I keep doing it in the morning? Should I give dosing at night more time? I know some people can't take it at night due to it making their sleep worse. Everything I read about says it most optimal to take it before bed in a fasted state.

Took it AM for a while but someone here said to take before bed for insulin sensitivity reasons so I did before bed and felt a lot better. 1-2iu is more close to replacement I would try maybe upping the dose tbh
Yeah I'm gonna try 3iu tonight and see if that makes any difference
Yea at the end of the day you really just need to try things n see
Did 3iu last night and slept great.
My first night time bolus I had the same experience as you. But every night after that GH made me sleep like a baby. I do both night time and morning bolus now
I'm hoping I can get this to help my sleep, I'm gonna give nighttime another try.
I hope so too brother. The sleep quality and recovery that the night time bolus provides is immeasurably valuable.
For me, I think my body just had to get used to it. And once it did... perfection.
Did you go an igf1 test before trying it?
To be clear, I'm no expert, but I've read a lot on the subject.
A lot of guys who have trouble sleeping on gh may have had higher natural levels than the dose they're taking. Ie: if you were naturally producing a higher dose than what 2iu was doing in your body, it would actually interrupt your sleep as your body was used to more. Kinda like if you started taking 50mg a week of test, it would be enough to shut your natural production down, but make you feel like shit, cuz it was less than you had.
On the flip side, a rare few do better with day time dosing. Ultimately, it doesn't matter as long as you pay attention to fasting glucose, fasting insulin, and get a benefit from it.
Good luck, brother. It's so individual, we're all learning all the time
Yeah I've had my IGF-1 tested natty before I hopped on anything it was 174ng/ml, z score 0.3, and the highest it's been when on cycle is 217ng/ml z score 0.8. I've also read about what you mentioned if the dose is less then what you naturally produce how it can cause sleep issues as well.
Try 3 and see if you sleep better. I was a tard and didn't test it until I was already on a secreteagouge, and tested at 244. I find I sleep well at 2, great at 3 or 4, but get sides like edema, and have the most fucked up vivid dreams at 5. Dropped back to 2.5 for now and will try titrating up again in another month
At first the dreams kinda wierded me out. But now I look forward to bedtime just to see whats on the movie ticket LOL. Ive never been able to remember my dreams either, but since gh I remember a lot.
For the edema, try some dandelion root. Mild diuretic and cheap, worth a try. Worked for me
I did 3iu instead on 2iu last night and slept really good.
Good to hear!
I was using it fasted am. I take it at night now, when i am taking it. Helps my sleep tremendously
That's one of the reasons I wanted to start it to begin with is to help improve sleep, I hear people always saying how much better it makes them sleep. I really hope I can get adjusted to it at night and it improves my sleep as well.
Yeah, ive noticed i get that lethargic... its just difficult to pull energy out of my ass. If I lay down, im smoked... my energy is tanked. I know its from the hgh shot. Its night and day. If i hadnt taken the dose, I wouldnt be tired.
Yeah that's what I'm after, I tend to be wired and find it hard sometimes to relax and chill before bed and that's taking no stims and just one small cup of coffee early in the morning. I tend to be sensitive to caffeine or stimulants in general.
How long after your last meal are you taking the gh and going to bed? A long period between that meal and sleep, if new to you, could disrupt your sleep too. Your body gets hungry, signals cortisol and you wake up. You dont have to wait as long as you'd think. The gh will take 3+ hours to peak, so even if you ate an hour before the injection youd be fine, the repsonse from the food would be gone by the time the gh peaks.
People do have different reactions to gh though. When I first started, the first night I couldnt sleep like you described. 2nd night was a little better. But the 3rd night and beyond Ive slept like a baby most nights, and also been having awesome fucking vivid dreams LOL.
Now if you decide the AM shot will be better for you, you really gotta wait longer than that one hour to eat. Remember the peak time. I know some people will get up 3-4 hours before their alarm take the gh and go back to bed. By the time that alarm hits the gh is peaking and you can hit cardio or whatever before breakfast.
I was waiting too long. I would get terrible sleep cause I’d wait like 3-4 hours then took my gh. I’ve started doing it in the morning then I go to the gym at like 3:30-4am for like 2 hours finish with some cardio go home get ready for work and I’ll finally eat and drink some protein at work around like 8-9. And it’s been going pretty well I think.
Yeah see I'm used to eating like an hour before bed and the days I took the gh at night I stoped eating 3 hours beforehand. And that's one thing excluding the hgh I've noticed if I push my last meal out further from bed I tend to be hungry when I go to bed and sleep is worse. I train in the mornings so my first meal of the day is my pre workout meal.
What I would try, and this is just what id do in your shoes, is split the difference. Have the last meal 2 hours before the shot. Just see if it helps any.
Yeah I think I'm gonna try eating my last meal closer to bed see if that makes a difference or not.
