Is ADEX right for me?
Hey Guys,
So I am having some concerns about adex and is it the right AI for me. Let me explain
So I am on TRT (lets not get into why etc)
My TRT dose is 100mg a week split into 2 shots @ 50mg. During this timeframe I dont take any AI's and my E2 sits around 20-25 (which is good IMO)
In the past I have ran 200mg a week (still splitting twice a week) and my E2 jumps all the way up to the 80's-90's. At this point I start adding .5mg of adex EOD which confirmed by blood work drops my E2 to around 25-30 (still ok IMO)
on my current cycle I am running 400mg a week of test C and at .5mg EOD I was seeing my E2 hover in the 60's, I increased my dose to 1mg EOD and I am finally back into the high 20's
My concern comes into play that taking roughly 3.5g of ADEX a week is going to really drop my HDL and raise my LDL, I hate to think how much ADEX I will need if I ever increased the test dose to 500 or 600mg a week etc.
So I am starting to question if adex is the right AI for me. I know the ADEX is good as it came from my local pharmacy (DR rx), but should I look into another AI? is this amount not that big of a deal? or am I worry for nothing until I get a lipid profile done and see exactly how it is affecting my cholesterol etc.
Thanks

I REALLY did not want to get into this cause everyone wants to think its so easy to fix your test levels.
Let's see, started when I was 23. I just felt tired all the time, no sex drive, etc etc. Went to my normal doc, test levels came back at mid 200's. At the time I weighed roughly 175 pounds @ 8.5%bf (according to dexa scan). So weight was not the issue, my diet was as perfect as you can get. I am not talking perfect like most people think where they cheat every few days or eat "clean" during the weekdays then drink on the weekends blah blah.. I am talking 100% strict organic, whole unprocessed foods. No smoking (never did), no drinking (had not drank since I was 20 at the time), etc.
I was eating tons (10+cups a day) of veggies, garlic, nuts, eggs, oysters, salmon, berries, olive/mac oil, avocado's, oranges, grass fed sirloin, oats, ginger, this was not my entire diet but I tried to add just about every food known to man to increase test levels. I tried a zinc and magnesium supp, even went as far as getting a complete mineral and vitamin panel done, that covered like 400+ markers (which was EXPENSIVE) and I was not deficient a single damn thing.
The only thing I could think of at the time was lack of sleep, as at the time I was working 3 jobs and getting maybe 4-5 hours a night. I QUIT one of my jobs, a month later I QUIT another one, so I was down to working 40-45 hours a week and getting 8-10 hours of sleep a night. Guess what, I STILL could not get my test levels above 300 (292 was the best if I recall).
I had a ultrasound and ct scan done, nothing as found, my PSA came back at .2. Nothing appeared to be wrong with my testicles (I had zero atrophy at the time and I got my gf (wife now) at the time pregnant with our first child, so clearly things were working)
I then went to an Endo, when we tried a few different protocols with HCG/Novla/Clomid, and I felt like SHIT.. I thought having low test made me feel tired, well add in nausea, hot flashes, headaches, 100% zero interest in sex (which worked out well since my gf had zero sex drive during her pregnancy from feeling so sick all the time). So yeah TRT is CAKE compared to how I felt trying to restore my natural levels. Once I started 100mg a week, after about a month I felt like a new man. Up every morning at 5am full of energy, 14-16 hour days not a problem, workouts were great, added almost 20 pounds of muscle just in the first 2 years of being on trt before I even ran my first blast cycle. As I get older I have zero desire to try to restore my natural levels again cause it was a miserable experience, the only thing I dislike about TRT is some testicular atrophy but it has not cause any issues in the bedroom.
As a kid I was FAT, until about the age of 19 I was 250 pounds at 5'11, easily in the 40% bf area, stress, moving a lot, family issues, etc, so maybe something during my childhood hurt my development, who knows.
answer is still below
estro numbers- ive seen worse
My goal is to stay under 30 as thats where I feel best, without having to use to much ADEX
Start eating the rite foods at the rite times for cholesterol
Care to elaborate?
Theres a heap of supps you can use to keep it in check, red rice yeast extract pops too mind
My Multi actually has red rice yeast extract in it, however studies I have seen show that it lowers LDL, I am more concerned about my HDL, my LDL on my last lipid profile (on no adex) was only 38
Metamucil is another
This is just psyllium husk? if so, I already take this @ 15g on my low carb days and 5g on my higher carb days every morning.
Vitamin e - smash that shit, radical free scavenger, anti oxidant, and positive on lipids
Between the amount of almonds, spinach, avocado, and mustard green that I consume daily I take in almost 800% the daily recommended intake for vitamin e, I cant imagine how much more I need to take in.
send me an fr, i know an expert in your circumstance, your goal should be re-boot, it is possible and i know just the man with the key.
FR sent. At the moment I am not looking to even attempt as I am in the middle of a blast, still have 12 weeks to go, but I am always up for hearing ideas should I decide to go that route.
bad cholesterol should be least of worries, trt at 26? you ever tried not too be? aggressive re-boot pcts? they can work you know, unless you like trt? that would be silly, estro numbers- ive seen worse, nothing too ring mum about, start eating the rite foods at the rite times for cholesterol , theres a heap of supps you can use to keep it in check, red rice yeast extract pops too mind, metamucil is another, vitamin e - smash that shit, radical free scavenger, anti oxidant, and positive on lipids.
