Weekend workouts
ad
Just finished up killing my shoulders. I don't know about everybody else but my two favorite lifting days of the week are Saturday and Sunday. You have none of the work stress that may be weighing down the weekday, plus o am able to hit first thing in the morning versus afternoon/evening during the week.
How about you guys, what days of the week are your favorites?

Saturday is my favorite day. Today I got to the gym at 715 and there was three people there. It was great. Sunday I always take the day off between hard manual labor thru the week and hitting the gym Sunday makes the perfect rest day. It's actual the only day of the week I get to sleep in. I get to sleep till like 8 it's awesome lol
I'm looking forward to the day I can finally sleep in for once. Five more weeks to go. Fasted cardio at 6am 7d/wk gets to be a bitch after a while.
I hear ya I don't have time to do cardio in the morning I have to be at work at either six or seven it just depends what job we are on. My wife never understands why I'm dead to the world at about nine ta nine thirty
DCHI1for me, weekdays are focused on compound lifts + core training and Thai Kickboxing 3x for cardio and fun. never a bad idea to learn how to kick some ass. Saturday mornings are kettlebell workouts w/ my girl at a KB specific training facility (highly recommended for strength and cardio) Sundays are yoga...gotta stay limber and it's harder than you'd think for us "weight lifters".
In the spring/summer, I'll add in an outdoor workout, mainly trail runs, stairs, bodyweight circuits at a local county park.
I like 5:00 just to see ass and tools in their Under Armor. Not much good for lifting though, ha.
Any day but leg day:)
Right now I am in the gym 7d/wk usually 2x/d getting ready for this show. The weekends are great because there usually aren't as many people there and my workouts right now include a lot of supersets, giant sets, triple sets etc. so I don't have to worry about anyone getting in my way in the middle of my supersets. Time of day is also a big factor. Mid-afternoons are great as well as later in the evening because of less people. From 4-6pm it is a zoo so I try to avoid that time.
Agreed, if I can get to the gym a little early 1-3 during the week that is the best time of day.
You guys are lucky. I get 3 days a week in gym. :(
Gym is 30 miles away...
Thought about opening my own gym. Trying to figure it out.
Saturday's are a love hate lifting day for me. I love working out early in the day (I lift at night during the week), but Saturday's are packed at my gym and I hate crowds. Lots of idiot weekend warriors as well, which drive me nuts. A little give and take I suppose.
I am in the gym from 630 am to 8 pm some days. Training clients most of that time. My only break is from 12-3 which I use to eat and take an hour nap. So I cherish my weekend workouts. Lately, I've been a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday warrior. I hate lifting only 4 days a week but it's my busy season and I gotta get paid. Lol
I have tried to limit myself to five 5 days a week lately. Monday chest/tri , tuesday off, wednesday legs, thursday back/bi, Friday off, then my weekend routine
AnonSundays for sure. Gym is usually dead, perfect day to work legs.
I enjoy every day in the gym. Saturday, Sunday - days off, spending all time with family and friends.
OursIsTheFuryIt's hard for me to hit the gym on Saturday... Seems to be in my mind that Saturday is off day, just eat with the lady, chill with the dogs, be outside doing yard work, fishing, beach ect. Lifting just never happens on Saturday but I make sure to keep busy.
Sunday however, now that's a sweet lifting day. Get in there when she opens and just blast a few body parts and the week is already put into motion. I love Sunday lifts, so I'll pick Sunday
I don't have one. But the weekends are my catch all. I often am too busy during the week to hit all five days. If I have to miss one night I push shoulders to Sat to make sure I get them in. I do love that my gym is baren at that time though.
I used to use the weekend as a catch all as well but then over time I just decided to make Saturday straight up shoulders and Sunday traps/ half leg day. I just feel a ton more focus on these two days
