The government is just to stupid to see a gold mine!

So I was perusing the gear pics and I couldn't help but think about our horrible economy. It occurred to me, again, that our government is just to stupid to see a gold mine right in front of their face. Blinded by all the negative steroid hoopla they've neglected to look into the amount of money being spent on gear illegally. I see people posting pics with like thousands of dollars worth of shit, and frequently. Obviously these rough economic times have not hampered them.
If our government, the USA, was smart they would legalize juice and reap the benefits of taxation to help bail out our muti-gazillion dollar debt... Not to mention physicians would be more willing to help monitor patients without the fear of getting into trouble for dealing with steroids. Sorry for the rant just something that popped into my head.

Please explain how more taxes fixes the economy? More taxes will have less people spending less money, that would cripple the economy. Reducing the size of government, flat tax, getting rid of government waste, putting an end to fighting other people's wars (using our military to protect our borders), and reducing the largest corporate tax in the world will fix our economy. Socialism won't work in America....thank sweet baby Jesus

Prison labor is like 40 cents an hour. The government isn't stupid they make lots of money off people being in jail.

unfortunately to fix our economy we'd be talking about dollars in the billions range, not a couple hundred thousand =/

i don't disagree that there would be some benefits from taxation but it would be a far cry from coming anywhere close to fixing the economy

You don't want the government regulating it. It would put all of the domestic and probably most of overseas suppliers out of business. You would have to see a doctor and would only be allowed to purchase so much a year. The big drug companies would mark it up even more than they do now and our government would tax the shit out of it. If you haven't learned by now, the less our government has its hands in the better
