Suicide Solution

ad

i want to share with u guys something that truly shows how sad this world we live in today.. At my college, students have this room, where ppl go in a make confessions on a canvas, and they put it on the wall. the confessions are anonymous and no one will ever know who u are. how ever, people can comment on ur confession with post it. some confessions are funny, sad, and some are not so funny.. also people who comment on ur confession are not anonymous, they have to register, so the person who wrote the confession knows who is responding.. they can also leave a pic of themselves..

so some one wrote on the canvas, "I've tried to kill myself 3 times. I'm done with living." and the comments that people gave this confession is just sad.. one guy wrote "just do it already, stop wasting everyones time"...another "u should not let ur life go to waste, join the army or police and get ur self killed for a meaning"
and many more like those un-human comments... I cant beleive so many ppl like that exist in this world.. of course there were alot of caring ppl, but there should be no reason to tell anyone to commit suicide.

I'm so disgusted and moved by this, that im think of starting a anti-suicide organization here on campus next semester

Guys and Gals lets try and remember to be nice to everyone, we never know what they are truly going thru in life.

You know what make this so good is you really live this! That is what makes it so credible when you say it Smile

life is a blessing, sad to see people hurting themselves

jdiggler51's picture

My wife killed herself 8 months after our 2nd child was born. I have learned there are so many warning signs of a person begging for help. This person clearly is asking for help. If the school hasnt stepped in to prevent another tragedy it's a shame.
For me the hardest part abour eroids is seeing people talk about pct depression and not being able to help and wondering if its the pct or a person asking for help.

College students can be so heartless.

you should find out who wrote it and reach out to them, sometimes all they need is to know is that one person cares, i had two friends kill them selves in the past 3 years, one was my best mate, never knew he was having issues, i knew he was under the pump with lots of sress due to starting his own company, his misses was 5 months pregnant he had lots of debt etc, and as he was so busy i wasnt catching up with him as often as we used too, he seemed happy and when we grew up he was always the most adventurous, funny one of the group then bam one day he drove up to the hills and shot himself in the head with a 9mm.i wish i could have done something? maybe just have a beer with him the night before fk knows you cant tell.the other one was just messed up in the head heavy weed smoker, asked his mum for money to buy weed and she said no and he went and hung himself on the basketball ring in the backyard 5 mins later, i actually told this to a work collegue and he said for the first one- well he must have been smart really used his brains- and for the second one he said- we should go visit him and see if hes hanging around. brang tears to my eyes made me angry, meanwhile he thought it was a joke some people have no respect or emotion for other humans, makes me sick!!!!!! reach out and help anyone in need!!! its only human!

woah. That is very sad! Sorry that happened to you. I too was bullied when I was younger so I can relate. Thankfully I never tried to hurt myself but I did think about it and I know how it makes you feel. I finally got around it by fighting back win lose or draw. People that make other people feel that they need to take their own life to avoid those feelings should be the ones that die, or rot in a hole somewhere!!!!

Glad you are still here and proving to yourself that even the hard times can help mold us into who we are today!!!

I've never had anyone close to me commit suicide, aside from some rare instances of Combat Euphoria. Some cultures promote suicide, while others frown upon it as weakness. I honestly feel that if you truly do not wish to continue living that options should be available. I myself enjoy life too much and understand the pain it would cause my loved ones. But if someone of legal age really doesn't want to live-allow them some gratifying form of death. The choice between life and death is an inborn right...

ANBRO's picture

Assisted suicide is a completely different subject to me. If you are of sound mind.. It's different. Ever had anyone on hospice? It's very close to assisted.. But I agree with assisted.. Cancer, Aids, Brain damage... Being faced with being cripple and someone taking care of me, trust me I've thought of it. But taking your life on a whim to me is different... Being emotional unstable is different.

Members like you are the reason I am overjoyed about finding this Site. It's sometimes overlooked that muscle bound men/women have been through great trials in their lives that still affect them today. It is great to see that one can come here and share their experiences and not be judged but supported. I commend all of you that are brave enough to share your feelings/stories and life experiences. I know bodybuilding is the main reason for this Site but relationship building is what I like about it the most. My hats off to you brother

XvBeast's picture

bodybuilding is not the goal of this site, using AAS/drugs safely is

I misspoke and you are correct bro

Noviceaas, being affected by someone's suicide or attempt at suicide will effect you for the rest of your life and the lives of those that love that person.

My best friend from High School was married, happy with a beautiful family. Her husband was a wonderful man that worked hard. Always made sure that his family came first.. no one could say a bad thing about him. They got into a little argument one night he pulled a gun walked in the bathroom and shot himself. My best friend and her two boys standing outside the door. This almost killed her, it has forever changed the person she was and is. She's hurt, mad, sad, lonely, scared and so many other things. He never knew the effect he would have.

At 22 I came home to a mother that had take an entire bottle of pain and sleeping pills.. She wasn't responsive. Called 911 spent hours waiting to find out if she would make it or not.. It was like time was standing still. I didn't understand I was so confused, how could a woman as strong as her do something like this. She made it (thank god) but from that day forward she's never returned to the woman I remember as a child.

I can't describe the feelings I feel when someone says that they are no longer important. I've spent the last two weeks talking to a friend of mine that wanted nothing more than to leave this life. She was laying in the kitchen floor with a gun in her hand when she called me. What if I had not answered that call? Would she still be here? I don't know. I would like to think that she called me because she wanted a reason not to do it she wanted someone to talk her out of it.. but I don't know that.

You can't see what people are feeling on the inside.. you can't change the way they feel.. but you can make them feel like they have a purpose in the life and are needed and wanted.

As always perfectly said!

i'm not saying that those people are in the right, but this is the thing you either really want to die or you are "trying to kill your self" to get attention. people who are really done with life for what ever reason kill themselves not try to kill themselves. in no way should those people be saying those things, because it could lead them to actually do it. like I said if that person has tried 3 times then they really don't want to die and are looking for attention the wrong way.

j223's picture

you sound like one of the assholes from the post

and are looking for attention the wrong way.

looking for attention the wrong way?? I didn't know there was a right or wrong way. do yourself a favor and quit posting your garbage responses in this forum.

strongman480's picture

i'm not trying to be an asshole. there IS a wrong way and a right way to get the attention they crave and or need weather it's help or just want to feel loved. I think that a lot of the problem is people that posted a comment on the canvas. as for my "garbage" I dont know what your problem is, but every time i post something you have to say something negative back. If you have a problem with me then come out and say it. stop trying to talk down to me and trying to make me feel inferior to you. let me tell you some thing that level 3 means nothing to me.

j223's picture

It's a sensitive subject and your response just didn't seem to have an overall understanding of the situation. (At least that's how it sounded to me.) What I mean is "the right way or wrong way", okay I get what you are saying. But think for a second. Do you believe people who are severely depressed and suicidal are in the right state of mind to "do things the right way?" usually not. Just like someone who is anorexic. It's a disorder. People with these issues need the help of others, because their behavior is erratic and they don't always do things "the right way."

I apologize if you feel I was ever talking down to you. That's definitely not true. It doesn't matter how much karma someone has by the way. I've seen you give lots of good advice in the cycle logs and I've given you +1 points many times. Check my profile, I've given almost 400 +1's. I always look out for lower karma members trying hard to earn points and help others. I only argued with you about test prop because I disagreed with you, I was not in any way trying to make you feel inferior. Anyways hope we could sort out our miscommunication and move on.

strongman480's picture

I guess i should reword things to not cause confusion or the wrong impression. If you have given me points then thank you. I'm not here to be a Dbag like some people on here i'll be the first one to admit when i'm wrong about something. Consider the miscommunication sorted and let's move on.

Darktide's picture

No I don't think he like them at all I believe he is making an accurate observation and not in a malicious way. I have had friends that were vets that committed suicide and I have seen others that are crying out for attention as well as for help and don't know how to express themselves any other way. But I really don't think that strongman480 had any ill intent. Maybe I am wrong.

strongman480's picture

thank you. no i was not trying to be malicious. the sad thing is most of the time you don't know someone is to the point of suicide until it's to late.

Darktide's picture

That is true! No I didn't see any malice with sensitive subjects sometimes we translate the intent wrong. I know I have been on both ends of it brother but it is all good here:)

j223's picture

I can't believe people say things like "just do it already"

How could anyone be so heartless? That's fucked up. Usually people who talk about suicide are just depressed and NEED HELP.
Some say "it's just for attention" and they are right, but that doesn't mean you should put them down for it. Suicide is the saddest thing and people should be more empathetic about it.

You can always change. If your current life is not great, that doesn't mean the only way to fix it is to end it. You can replace almost anything in life. You can get a new house, a new car, new job, anything! You can make new friends. Take advantage of family and those who care about you. Most things in life can be changed or replaced, but your life can not be replaced.

TeaBody's picture

Good positive posts in here, it's nice to be surrounded by good dudes. All those people talking shit have no compassion until a event like that hits their own personal life, and usually those people posting things like that are hiding something in themselves, might be a insecurity or whatever. But I would definitely post a good comment on that dudes 'wall' ( or whatever it's called) and as stated below challenge the fuckers who think "they have it all figured out."

Your motive is good XV but may I suggest you start a self esteem organization that call kill suicide at in the root. One that helps people look at themselves and their life through a positive perspective.

OmNom's picture

If you REEEEALLY wanna cheer that person up.. You could post under that douche bag who's telling people to kill themselves "I'm confessing that I might kick this person's ass ^^^^^^" Followed by a picture of your swole 225 lb self.. You scare the mouthy prick and I'm sure every one get's a good laugh
