Today, I ran into a friend, a lady, a mom, and a badass. She has in the past year, gotten into competitive fitness, and she looks amazing. Her husband is in Afghanistan, she works a job, she is also a full time mom trying to fill the hole her husband left...on top of that has been spending some serious time in the gym.
I don't know how the hell she does it.
A few weeks ago, my wife left me with the kids for four days due to a situation with her family. I tried to pull the load while she was gone and holy shit...I thought I was a hard worker but damn...being a mom is some incredibly hard shit. I have one kid that isn't in school yet and two in school, and from running shit around, trying to get the kids to wrestling, gymnastics, music lessons, homework...that shit damn near killed me. Seriously, probably the hardest damn four days I've had in a very long time.
At any rate, a big hats off to the chick who works miracles with her kids, handles shit for her husband while he's gone, and with all of that stays on top of her fitness goals and excels.
Big hats off to all the moms. I don't know how my mother did it, I don't know how my wife does it, and I am simply amazed by the incredible capabilities of all the moms out there.

I know, kind of an off topic rant but damn....But in my opinion, there is anything more impressive than a good mom.
