New COVID lockdown risk

ad

Guys, how are you? I hope all is well for you and your families.
The COVID situation is getting worse all over the world and here in Europe we are running towards a new lockdown. In Italy since Monday bars and restaurants close at 6pm (evening hours) and the new decree is hitting gyms and sports centres again.
There is a lot of nervousness in the big capitals, aggression against the police, burnt-out bins and destroyed buildings.
Exhausted entrepreneurs and taxes to pay.

How is the situation in your cities?

Untill we have no Vaccine we have to live with the virus.
I'm wondering why none of the measures has any effect.

I can only speak for my country but the only big difference I see at the moment is that high schools are still open. I've loads of people throwing shade at for going to the gym but people see to be fine with high schools.

I think we should protect the elderly. All studies show that few symptoms occur in younger people.
So, no reason to crash the econemy.

I agree with that. But young people like high school students can still spread the virus. Contaminations are rising rapidly but deaths aren't that crazy right now so high schools and such might be the main spreader at the moment.

Deaths lag infections by a couple of weeks, but treatments are better as we’ve learned a few things

In my country too, schools have remained open.
We try to safeguard state work and public education, I have a three-year-old granddaughter who has just started kindergarten.

The penalised sectors are restaurateurs and owners of bars, discos and sports centres. It is true that they are crowded places but this is where the state should take over and help financially.

Where I live not many seem to take it seriously at all, everythings operating as near normal. Except the locals complaining about pubs closed at 10pm. Wear a mask and do what you want is our motto by the looks of it.
