Guys, how are you? I hope all is well for you and your families.
The COVID situation is getting worse all over the world and here in Europe we are running towards a new lockdown. In Italy since Monday bars and restaurants close at 6pm (evening hours) and the new decree is hitting gyms and sports centres again.
There is a lot of nervousness in the big capitals, aggression against the police, burnt-out bins and destroyed buildings.
Exhausted entrepreneurs and taxes to pay.
How is the situation in your cities?

I live in the US. It’s very divided in my state. Public schools are still closed. Gyms are supposed to be closed but are taking a stance and remaining open along with a lot of other business that are also supposed to be closed. The government enforcement agency’s are not enforcing the rules anymore despite our state government officials orders. Add an insane election to mix and we live day to day with this current crazy world.

Slowly everything is shutting down as it was a few months ago. Well, you have to deal with it and not go crazy.
Mosquitoes are our greatest threat. That’s where the focus should be.

Those are ALL mosquito-borne. Mosquitos (and in some cases other insects: ticks, fleas..) can spread them to humans.
Malaria alone causes nearly half a million deaths annually and hundreds of millions hospitalized. The total death toll annually from mosquitos is unknown but certainly a lot.
And we know viruses can mutate. And with mutation the way or rate they are transmitted can also change.
My city is still 0.9 percent infection rate. Not one outbreak from gyms. You have to use hand sanitizer wipe down equipment and wear a mask over your face and nose. And believe me gym owners ate all over that shit. They don’t wanna be closed again. Also there is a question sheet to fill out and they take your temp at the door.
My job has been open through it all. Two people at work had it but that’s it. I thought I had it a few weeks back but came up negative along with my family.
My job also takes your temp at the door and you fill out a questionnaire. Nothing closed yet in the city I live in.
Few day's ago i didn't know anyone personally who got positive Covid analyze result, but today two of my friend got positive Covid result! Stay strong guys and keep your family and friends safe!
Yea I know 17 people that have had it.
About half of them did get sick...

Recently had a day pass the record for new cases in a single day since the beginning and no one even mentioned it..
The college students have come back to campus here, now it's a hot zone, I drove through campus for a doc appointment and being Saturday and rather warm everyone was outside partying. Despite the campus wide mandatory mask inside or outside policy I actually don't think I saw a single mask. Whole lot of cut off shirts and girls acting like fools!
I don’t disagree but I’m not proud of it.
It amazes me how pussified people are about a mask...

AnonI hear that. I have worked a job in the heat with no A/C that required me to wear a mask because of fumes. So wearing a mask in the grocery store is no big deal to me.
In my opinion the press makes a lot of confusion between asymptomatic and infected patients, alarming the population.
AnonSince this started I haven't visited old age loved ones as often as I would like. I would have a difficult time living with the knowledge that I got one of them sick. I go to the grocery once or twice a week and run other errands. I don't go the bars so I don't know if they are open or or not in my area. Bars can suck my balls idgaf. I've noticed some small businesses in my area never bounced back after the first mandatory closures, and I feel bad for them.

There is a new decree in force as of tonight and that is gyms closed as of tomorrow.
A rack arrived two days ago and on Tuesday I get a professional bench. I have plenty of barbells, dumbbells and lots of cast iron. I'm building a small home gym.
Find yourself a walker. They fold up and you can do dips on them. There every where.
Bench, flies and dips is all you need for chest.
Better range of motion on dumbbell presses for shoulders...

Schools around me are starting to close due to a lot of teachers getting infected on a school by school basis. That just tells you that they are probably getting it from their students. I live in a rural area. City has 2 McDonald’s that I live in but it’s small. Hadn’t really been bad here till about a week ago and now spreading like wild fire. Just like a lot of rural places in the US right now. Travel hubs first. Cities then suburbs and now rural areas. It just took some time to get into the community in high enough numbers to spread rapidly. I think that lead to a lot of people disregarding it. We have a mask mandate, but maybe just over 60% follow it and businesses won’t enforce it, not even Walmart, they just look away. I asked and they said they are not to confront customers about it. It probably would cause a disturbance. Most of them mean mug people wearing masks.
You’ve got me wondering if we don’t live in the same town.
Anonwe straight up had a dude stab an old ass man because he asked if he had a mask he could put on. Lady cop pulled him over and he tried to stab her too!
She shot him a whole bunch..he D E D dead.
Actually the video is fking impressive, her gun jammed and she cleared it in like under a second. For a middle aged overweight woman with a man trying to stab her that was astounding. Watching her do that showed that she had some legit range time under her belt. 100% muscle memory.

I know in the nursing home it is now mandated we get flu shots and when covid vaccine is out it probably will be the same. You can decline but you will not work in healthcare
