Do we have any old school fans here?
I think the last new bands that I've liked are Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters...after them haven't found anything that's been worth listening.
I'm open to suggestions so let them come.
Most of the time I'm still stuck with the great bands of 70's & 80's,

Nice! Downloading these lads now
What do you all think of Orange Goblin?
https://youtu.be/PQs6yFhN3dg
I really like this one:
https://youtu.be/UrizqjkSADM
I don't think I have heard them before, but it is pretty good.
We are the filthy and the few! I liked this one brother, fast paced with a heavy beat! Visuals are somewhat disturbing! Lol Funny thing, I never heard of Orange Goblin!
Edit: I liked rage of angels also, it had a black sabbath sound and feel to it!
Thanks for sharing brother!
As most of you know, I'm old school, and stuck in a perpetual time warp!
I love the rock classics of the late 60's! Doors, Cream, Stones, Hendrix ect.
I recently heard this young lady who is very contemporary! She's cute, charismatic and ever so talented!
Brother Flash must be familiar with her as well as many others!
I present to you the lovely Courtney Barnett!
https://youtu.be/ZnWyum0ATo0
I dunno brother. It's definitely something that would work whilst killing a hooker in the back of the eroids van...but nothing that would give me that hell yeah feeling if it came on the radio.
I've never been a big grunge guy though.
Thanks for sharing though. I enjoy hearing music that other people like.
Me neither brother Ed! So out of character to like this and yet I do!
You're more than welcome brother and thanks for stopping by and commenting! You're a great guy my friend! :))
Im curious brother Ed, what kind of music do you like? Im certain it's more than one genre, maybe share a song or two that gets you rocking n the car or on the gym!
You are absolutely right. I'm a student of all music. I can find something that I love in most genres.
Even something like this:
https://youtu.be/P_i1xk07o4g
It a band that I had never heard of until One day..I'm walking through Central Park and it's pouring rain and I come across these guys throwing a concert...playing this song live...and it was effing magical.
I really like old school country, Wayon, Willie, Conway etc.
I love traditional metal like Metallica, Sabbath etc. Hair bands..there is some Opera that I enjoy the hell out of like Plácido Domingo, José Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti as the three tenors.
Hell, I even like old school rap. I like it all. There is something that I can appreciate about musically gifted people.
It seems like no matter the day there is usually something that can speak to my soul.
I like that song, very catchy!
Central Park, what a magical place indeed! Years ago they used to have the summer in the park series, if memory serves me correct it was sponsored by Dr. Pepper! I remember seeing Chicago there live for free!
Although I always liked 60's Rock, In the seventies and eighties, I Loved classic Disco!
I also like Pavarotti and Bocelli! La Donna Mobile! :))
Speaking of old rap, I liked that classic from the sugar hill gang back in the late seventies! Rappers delight!
That's great brother Ed, you're an artistic person indeed! :)) A special man who is moved by Art!
This is brilliant
reminds me of the sort of stuff you'd heard in Ireland/UK at the end of the 80's early 90's, the sort of stuff that was inspired by grunge from the US but a bit more pop'y - stuff like sultans of ping, pulp blur that sort of thing!
She's very good!
I'm glad you enjoyed it brother! As previously stated, I'm never really drawn to this type of music but I just found this captivating and had to share! I'm just shy of 56yrs. and listening to grunge! Lol
If you like her my friend, she has plenty of content on you tube! Enjoy :))
Wow.. She is actually pretty good. Grungy maybe with a touch of Dylan..
Yeah, I like her brother Sauron! Grungy and underground from what I've read! The funny thing is, I'm usually not drawn to this type of music, yet I find her mesmerizing!
From what I've read, she writes most of her lyrics! So yes, a touch of Dylan, a Poetess!
A beautiful face and a beautiful mind, I guess, reasons to be captivated! :))
Here's another rendition!

I am shocked I have never heard of her. I am thoroughly impressed.
You and I both brother, you and I both! :)) I hope this music brought you some joy!

I listened to the entire Sphere's album last night which has some real prog overtones but this album hits hard and fast right off the bat.

This band came up on Itunes today and kind of blew me away. Then you read the backstory on the man behind the music and it gets even crazier. Burzum

Vicious leg day rocking the Suicidal Tendencies and Hatebreed.
Anybody see these bands live before? How were they?
I have seen both. Saw suicidal with the classic lineup..rocky..mike..rob..etc. saw with metallica. Hatebreed is pretty tight..very brutal pits for both bands.
Been jamming parkway drive alot recently try it out man its good stuff
Absolutely
Never saw them live but suicidal was a great band.
Here's an oldy.

You crackers want to get real with this shit?
https://youtu.be/xCChxBSRo1Y
That's right, you know you fricken enjoyed that.
CC called and he told me he wants you to give him his pants back that you borrowed. Told him you had a gig in the parking lot at Red Hot Pussy Liquors and will be needing them to show of your sock bulge.
I remember listening to the Open Up and Say Ah album when I was like 11 or 12. I felt like a little badass. Motley Crue got me hyped also. Dr. Feelgood!
Too Fast for Love was one of the first cassettes I wore out. Arguably still the Crue's best album.
Don't go away mad, just go away hits home for me. Lol. I love that song.

Reminds me of a serious relationship that I walked away from for no reason at all.
Have you heard Vince try to sing lately? It's borderline sad.
It is, but you know, I get it, them guys that sung in such a high register all but destroyed their voices.
Lol
It's a good day to post some tunes.

Can't do it bro...
Not a tool fan eh ?
No, not a perfect circle fan. Tool is not perfect circle..
Tool, Perfect circle and Puscifer are all pretty damn close, but point taken. How about a little tool then.
