Members that are in recovery.
Hey guys,
I have been noticing a lot of people in this community and other communities like eroids that are in recovery. Or have struggled with some type of addiction before finding the gym. Which in my case is an addiction but a much healthier one for sure. I my self will have 5 years sober as of March. I was doing some nasty shit for a few years and finally pulled out of it. Found the gym right after I got right and havent looked back. The gym was a blessing for me. Not only did I look at my self more positive. But it made me feel good and I love watching my self grow. Coming from a 130lbs addict to now is crazy. Im only on my second cycle and plan on one more then an extended time off (years) because i know this stuff could turn into somewhat of an addiction. And also i need to stay true and always keep health first.
This community has been super helpful. I appreciate the feedback on all my newbie questions, and even the answers i didnt personally want to hear lol. The OG's are looking out for people that's what makes this place different IMO.
For the people is recovery my hats off to you. I know what its like. Keep that shit up. Gainz foe life.

I spent years drinking and doing pills. My poor liver.
I was spending 200.00 a week on pills and about that on booze.
Looked in the mirror on day andf realized i looked like shit at a size 38 waist.
I thought i better get my life together.
I went from 200lbs and a size 38 to 187 and a size 33.
Best ive felt in years and now that i fill out all my tshirts in a good way i would never want to go back.
Hardest thing was kicking the oxy's detox is hell.
My ex wife was always bitching about my gym addiction. She never knew me before. I would rather be in the gym than at the bar.
Congrats bro on your accomplishments! That is what its all about. Lol I relate on the oxys I got into uppers first blow and speed and thought that was bad till i ran into heroin. I smoked it thank god never shot anything. But man that kick was the hardest thing i think i have ever done lol. More the reason to never go back.
Im on the other end from you same goal though. I was 130lbs soaking wet at 5'6 skin and bones. Now im 180lbs 5 years later. Gym is my place of relief. Ive not only gained mass there but also friends and support to continue down the road im on.

Keep at it man. I ditched the ex wife when she didn't support a healthy life style. My current girl friend lost 50 lbs and hits the gym with me. It's a nice feeling being clean and healthy.
Totally agree man. I did a similair thing. I don't miss it a bit.

300 SavageI totally replcaed my bad addiction with all good addictions... weight training..Mountain biking. MMA.. Base -ball..Fishing.. And I have never looked back to that sad time of my life..I will fight to the death to save my freedom..and be a true friend.. and son to my parents..
Agree with all that man. Getting back to old hobbies and developing new ones. Being there for my younger siblings and parents priceless. Getting high doesnt even sound appealing anymore lol i was a upper guy so staying up for days at a time just doesnt seem the business anymore.
300 SavageI like you brother..anytime you need to run something by me..you are always welcome..And I will give you solid suggestions..
There is this saying that I love..(Idle time is the devils playground.)
Thanks bro much appreciated I will probably be taking you up on that offer in the future.
That's a solid sayin. So true man. When left alone we are our worst enemy...cheesy saying but true.
