Marble size nodule on my wrist

ad

General question !!! Had a marble size lump form top side of my wrist hard and sore to the touch. From what I have read and learned it will go away on its own or you can smash it with a hard book and should pop . Anyone experience this before I pop this sucker

Not sure exactly what you mean. Can you post a pic up?

Heck yeah, I got one on my wrist too. Smacking it with the book didn’t help....
I didn’t have to do any self surgery on mine, it went away on it’s own.
There are plenty of good suggestions on this thread.
Hahahha

I had one on my wrist for years and finally read about the old book smacking trick. I couldn't get anyone to do it so I just slammed it down on the kitchen counter. It went away and hasn't come back, that was probably 10 years ago.

It's called a ganglion cyst. I've had 2 of them removed.

Have badger, will travel. Honey badger don't care. Honey badger will tear that bump from your wrist. Give it to the badger. J/k, doctor all the way.

Just had surgery for that the first visit they took what I would say was a 16 gauge looked like it was a damn harpoon stuck it in and drained it two weeks later it was back the doctor said 98% of the time they will come back so I opted for surgery they went in cut it out and all good you could do what Ed said and cut it out yourself after watching them remove I think I could of done it myself lol.

It could literally be anything.. God bless the uk's health system, rather than asking people over the internet about general heath concerns we go to the doctor to have them checked out for free.

They used to treat ganglion cysts with a book. My wife says she had one smashed about 15 years ago. They also used to treat the clap that way too though. I think id rather try the 18 gauge method.

My wife had that shit over 2 years ago still bothers her during bench press

I remember my grandfather telling me a story when he was in the navy back in WW2 they would smack the head of the cock with a rubber mallet to break up the puss, he called it the bull headed clap lol I don't know if it was a story to keep me a good boy or if it happened

I heard the same story from quite a few military people. I'm grateful for advancements in modern medicine. Lol

Damn, smashing it does not sound like the route I would take. I like the drain idea better!

Engineereddisaster's picture

Clean it off with alchohol swabs, Take a sterile razor and lance that bitch with a 1/4 inch incision in the center carefully avoiding any visible veins and squeeze at the base until it pops.
Then take some pics and post that shit up and I will totally -+2 your ass!

I had one, stuck it with an 18g needle and it went away.

Engineereddisaster's picture

That's cool. Did you get a lot of shit out of it?

Pale's picture

Nothing came out. It just went away. It also never came back.

Weird

Come on bro. There are hardly any nerve endings on the top of the wrist. That shit should be easy peazy.
I once stitched up a respectable laceration on my leg...now that shit was hard. You just have to get the mind set that if one man can do it, another man can do it. Smile

Don't pop it. Might fill back up and you're back where you started. Easy, quick in office procedure. There are how to pop ganglion cyst clips on you tube if you're determined or don't have insurance.

smash it with a hard book and (it) should pop

...and if it doesn't?

Are you asking for volunteers for someone to smack you with a book?
Or, is Valentines your 50 shades of gray night?
Make sure you both know what your safeword is if it's the latter.

Gymjunkie01's picture

Well then it's to the doctor lol.. you make it sound so perverted ha
