Blow out

ad

Ok just wanted to drop some info for you folks , so all I had in my car is my new Nike Air Max shoes so never thought about it changed at the gym was doing military barbell presses and POP!!!!! The side blew out of my shoe and deflated ...

Me... 315 pound

Pressing 225 pounds

Shoes blow out at 540 pounds at least Nike air max does..

I love Nike, but I hate the Nike Max cushioning. They are too firm, don't form to your foot and they do have a tendancy to pop.
There regular air and air zoom are great. Never had them pop. Their other foams are great as well.
Also, if you email Nike, they will usually replace the shoes.

I won't buy a pair. My brother in law was wearing them a couple years ago when we were deadlifting. His right one popped mid lift and shifted his body. He jerked and fractured the ears on a couple vertebrae. He couldn't walk upright for a couple weeks. I've done deads barefoot at home ever since watching that one.

I'm guessing you do a little damage to couch springs

Gymjunkie01's picture

No joke I just got a new couch but I had to put a 1/2 inch piece of plywood under the cushions so I wouldn't sink in I had broke it down

Brother GJ, did you factor in the 40-45 pound bear head? That would bring it closer to 600lbs! Lol
Only joking my friend!

I read the title and immediately thought all you can eat pancakes takes on GJs pants. Lmao. Sorry to hear about the nikes. I been wearing asics but I don't go heavy ever. Six knee surgeries later

Gymjunkie01's picture

I wasn't going heavy at all fuse.. I think my body weight combined with the little weight I was pressing was to heavy

I didn't even read the weight. I just know that you are a big ass mofo that lifts big ass things. So I figured it had to be heavy.

I've had 675 lbs on my air max shoes. They have ribs though between the air pockets. That sucks. Probably got a defective pair.

Gymjunkie01's picture

I don't know but now I was reading online and I'm not the first I guess there's a lot of people bitching about there sole deflating

I've had pairs pop before, but could not pin point when, where or cause. Last pair I had pop. I didn't even no tell I stepped in a puddle and I heard bubbles.

Mine I heard but then I threw me off balanced when I walked

You sure it wasn't the "ALL YOU CAN EAT BUTTERMILK PANCAKES"? I think it's exclusively spelled out in the Nike warranty as not part of normal wear and tear.

Theophany's picture

Lol, that's a good one brother!

Gymjunkie01's picture

Well I did gorge myself last night but stil it's worth a email to them I guess.

Nike warranties all shoes for one year after the manufactured date on the tag. These are athletic shoes that failed during an athletic activity. They email you the shipping label and send a new pair.

Gymjunkie01's picture

No shit? Thanks for that info

That's crazy. Well the Incredible Hulk didn't need shoes to get stuff done, however if you do, I found this video telling you how to get Nike to replace them.
