Mad props to the body builders!
I have competed in wrestling, football, college rugby, professional MMA, and now at 37 am undertaking my first bodybuilding show in 4.5 weeks. For those of you reading this that compete... my hat is off to you!!! I have never had to be so disciplined in nutrition and training as I have over the last 8 weeks! Having a dietician has been key as I have NO idea how to prepare for a show. Needless to say as I can see and feel my body changing and hardening up...... I'm hooked! I can already pin point where several of my errors have been.
1) I started out at too high of BF
2) working too many hours with not enough rest
3) the little (and I do mean little) cheats add up to BIG issues later!
4) Consistency, consistency, consistency!!!
I've already started researching nutrition for after the show, and seriously, nutrition is 70% of what it's all about!
I say all this to admit I thought bodybuilding was simple and anyone could do it. Consider this a gigantic crow pie..... I was wrong! Lol So for what it's worth, to those here that have taken time with me, thank you!
