Giving Advice
Most of the posts that we see the OP is asking for advice, but that doesn’t mean you have to give advice & especially if you’re giving an opinion & not fact. Just because you read it doesn’t mean you’re obligated to respond. If you’re not qualified to give advice, then please don’t! Steroid cycles are a lot like advanced math. If you don’t get the first lesson right, you won’t ever understand the next & if at any point you miss something you will fall behind a regress instead of progress. If someone takes I’ll advised opinions it could hurt both them & their family if not now then in the future. Do you want that responsibility? Also, READ the entire post & understand before you attempt to give a reply. Most of us have been guilty of this, & for myself I always end up looking like an idiot when I do. Check the OP’s age & stats & cycle history EVERYTIME before posting a reply. Finally, if your opinion of taboo topics goes against the standard here in open forum please keep it to yourself. Now let’s get back to really helping here & making serious gains meatheads!!
Edit:
Also note that experience is indeed important & such are qualified IMO to give such advice. I believe it should be noted in the post that it’s indeed your experience & also remind that all of our bodies reacts differently & what works for one doesn’t always for another. Thank y’all for the continued help & keep it coming:-)

I never give advice to anybody(for free for sure lol)
AnonCool bro bro
Not cool...really not...once I had friend and he was asking me a lot how to do this, how to use this and i gave him(as I think) good advices...by the end I'm an idiot because he raised up dosages(i didnt know that he did this) and lower his test at critical levels(so for treatment he spend a lot of money) and blamed me that is my mistake, nice, very nice....
AnonIt was sarcasm based on your call sign and statement, Where you went wrong was giving an uneducated friend advice that he didn't need, but at the end of the day if you're the one he blamed then he needs to insert another tampon and you need a new friend.
LOL...vagifriended
AnonAfter replying to this I think I saw the post that prompted you to start this topic, and yeah that kid had some dumb reckless advice. I would hope nobody would be dumb enough to read that and think to themselves that, that would be cool.
AnonI see where you're going with this and I respect what you're saying, the only thing i find difficult is the fact that its ok to give advice whether its scientific fact or not, sometimes advice can be given based on ones own experience, The only problem I have with people giving advice is when they are just giving advice to make themselves feel important and 1. Have no idea what they're talking about. 2. Don't follow their own advice and 3. Repeat 1 and 2. Granted at the end of the day, the ball is in the hands of the "asker of advice". When it comes to steroids there are so many other options than to ask an open forum. Researching on your own makes for a greater outcome, advice is mostly opinionated with some watered down facts or actual facts, advice is still only a recommendation. I've always liked the quote "The best way to ruin your life, is to take someone else's advice"
Edit: I have learned a tremendous amount here by what people have discussed and then I follow up with my own research, so don't take my "asking an open forum" out of context. To many knowledgeable people here to mean any disrespect in that comment.
I agree Devil Dog & I should have chosen better words or a better way to communicate what I’m saying. Experience is important & it’s also important to note when giving advice based on experience that it’s noted as such and also stated that what works for one may not work for another. Thanks for the help bro
Whilst I agree with what your trying to put across here, I’m going to give you some different insight from an outside perspective and make myself as popular as chlamydia here. Keep in mind I’m only using you’re post as an example of a plethora of what I’m referring to. To build you a picture, up until about a year ago I spent a lot of time here, active in the forums etc. For various reasons I didn’t log on again until a couple of months ago. What did I miss? Honestly, not a great deal. Doesn’t even look like I’d been away. I’ve barely posted since I’ve been back.
That mentality is so deeply ingrained here it’s a big part of the reason why. Knowledge moves forward. This isn’t ever going to be anything other than counter productive. There’s experienced guys and girls here that don’t necessarily conform that can add a different perspective.
Then there’s this whole “right to run steroids” position. “Write out your training program and your diet then we’ll see if you’re worthy....” it happened years ago, but you guys do it on every forum now. The only information I see being given out is “don’t”. Would you all have written out all that for others? I doubt it.
Example below:
https://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/anabolic-steroids/dianabol-2
Sometimes it’s easier to see from the outside looking in.
100% bang on
I think sometimes our personal experience gets taken as advice and then we get neg'd.I refrain for telling my experience at times for that very reason.I also have done a lot of things wrong,so I don't always advise one to take my route.I do like to share the scientific part,i.e(what I took and the results, without it being taken as advice).A private, off the chain group may be the solution.
I agree completely with you Man. There is a balance to be had really, somehow, where you can discuss things that are counter intuitive or fly in the face of the norm, but have merit based on scientific or individual proof/experience.
The main issue as i see it, is when 'experienced' people rubbish things they havent really tried/experienced or understood properly.
Its harder work to accept/understand change/different ideas than it is to rubbish them, which is an awful shame. But... at the same time, for every naysayer.... there should be an open ear out there somewhere in the ether haha
Agreed!I was actually one who poo pooed on you lower test deca combo.I've recently been studying it a little more and some of it makes sense.I have a friend and he does deca with no test at all.He loves it and claims to not get the dreaded deca dick. He's an old timer and laughs at a lot of things that have become protocol. His cycle is usually dbol, deca and then drops the dbol for winny at the end.Not what I would do but he's over sixty years old and very large. Now his doses are very low compared to the cycles you see on forums, but he's repping on bench with over three hundred and squating over five.
Serious weight for that age!! Solid stuff. He pushes more than most young fellas out there!
Yeah well i can tell you (anecdotally lol) that i am 1 month in to a deca only cycle and the revelations are nothing short of shocking to me. From the perspective of having resigned dbol and deca to the history books this time last year, simply because of all of the usual wet sides and bad news stories.
My opinion is extremely different now. It really has been a revelation and has completely changed my view of traditional cycles and testosterone in particular. The experiment is ongoing though, there is a lot more to be learned i think.
Yeah my friend does not use test ever.He also never does pct.Go figure.Strong like bull and none of the usual estro sides.
AnonSometimes sharing what you've done wrong will have more of an impact on someone, rather than telling them what to do right. If someone takes advice, experience or even facts and run with it just because someone on the internet said it worked for them then they probably need to learn a life lesson or two.
I can agree with that.I am a cruiser and it's one thing I do not recommend. For me it's a necessity but to the youngsters it's ideal.Truth is if I could start over I'd leave gear alone. When I was just starting collage, however, I couldn't wait to get "on"!Unfortunately,at this point, TRT is my life,if I want all my parts to work.lol
AnonInformation like that is what some need to hear, a sort of "learn from my mistake" I know I've had enough and I'm sure most on here have. Only down side is just telling someone "younger" they shouldn't do something will only make them want to do it that much more.
Agreed! Most youngsters had their minds made up when they googled steroids. You give them good advice and they think you hiding something. You will have an impact for one of a hundred.
It’s certainly an interesting perspective. I’m a supporter of educating as much as possible but being open to others personal circumstances. I will openly admit it here there are a few members who I am helping over PM and email here given they will not get the help they actually need in the open forums. Instead they would get bashed to death. I have personally vetted them via many detailed conversations and am happy that in THEIR very specific circumstances the help is warranted and needed.
So I know exactly what you are are referring to but I experience the other side day to day (less now given the limited time I have available). So hard to find a balance and I certainly don’t have a solution. I’ll keep going as I am and help who I can, when I can....in open or in private.
I agree with you 100%!It's a shame you've been turned off a bit, because your diet clinic was "the shit"!Nice to see you back some.
Well, at least Jameshobbis and Impastable posted helpful info.
I agree it's not enough to be cynical. Explaining the why in that situation makes a big difference in perception, shows actual insight/understanding, and passes that understanding along to the OP and general audience in a helpful way.
Telling me don't only makes me ask, why not?
I agree. If you read his intro titled “first cycle,” he was given a lot of good advice & then moved started another post.
And hopefully between the two he'll learn a thing or two. The second Dbol post was his attempt to poll members to support his claim that Dbol cycles are a good idea.
If he can read, when he ends his little experiment, he'll have found out the hard way what others have told him. He'll need to go back to the first post and update how his "cycle" was "negatives" (with the exception that he should have a deeper understanding about dBol).
It really stinks to see people have to learn that way to bro. To blow up & shut down & all for nothing. It makes me want to try to reach & communicate better to try to help others.
You can lay out all the pros and cons, help with proper PCT, advise against it and do the whole 9, but some people are just going to do as they please. Sucks, but that's life.
Doing all that doesn't mean you're cosigning a stupid idea, and sometimes after doing it all you just have to move on and let them figure it out on their own. You can't win every time man, and rarely does it change the mind of 1/10 people dead set on it.
Give them the tools and blueprints to build a house. Sometimes they'll succeed, sometimes they'll just go back to clapping rocks together like otters.
You’re right brother & I see it more & more & especially in the younger generation. I still feel like if we reach & help one it’s all worth it. It definitely takes us all working together & the different perspectives & experiences to make that difference.
Amen! I’ve been saying that for a while now. It’s honestly why I don’t post much. I saw a post where some guy was asking about heartburn and someone got blasted for recommending ACV without asking for stats and priors. Then someone literally posted asking what his stats and priors was! I’ll see if I can find it. Perfect example of overkill imo
I agree at times it’s overkill! We do need to click the profile & check age & at time previous cycle history is relevant, but I believe we can find a median. I’m willing to whatever is needed & most useful to helps other members.
Love the avatar to amigo!!
I definitely check stats and threads when replying to unknown members’ threads too. With all the fake members looking to get a rise out of folks or kids looking to hurt themselves genuine members need to do their homework on folks. I just think benign topics don’t really need stats or priors. Overall this place is generally more drama free than it ever has been. Honestly I can’t femember the last true drama event that the Mods haven’t handled perfectly. It’s why I’m poking my head in more nowadays.
Absolutely bro, I agree on the benign subjects as well! It has been more pleasant here especially that last few months.
Its up to you guys to steer the ship where you want to go. BFG, Greg nor myself spend much time telling you guys what to post. That said, I do know why the hardline on stats came about, I believe it was Viking that started it and his reasons were because of all the kids asking for advice. You guys need to find the balance.
Ahh viking.....one could learn all they need to know just by reading his post.Plus entertaining as well.
I absolutely agree that any cycle advice 100% needs to have stats and priors to get educated advice. I remember when things turned hardline on stats. I saw the benefit for it then and still see it now. But it’s crept some into benign topics and threads. Does someone really need to give stats and priors to know what helps heartburn?
I didn’t reply to that thread because it’s always the same guy and overall he does way more good for this place than bad. Pinche Rusty you loveable forum nazi:) hahaha I mean I don’t really contribute enough anymore to battle what the members who grind every day decide the forums rules should be. I just saw Cat post a sentiment I share to a certain degree. I’ll try and chime in more now since I opened my trap.
RustyhookerI try to not worry too much. Fact is they'll do it anyways even if it is way above their skill or overkill on a simple goal.
Why ask stats on a simple question? 99% of the time a simple question leads to huge errors. Like a newb has heartburn because his second cycle he's running a cutstack of tren. Ask stats and its the typical 6ft tall 165 and wants to look shredded.
Im actually questioning why i even worry bout asking or advising. Its 1 in 100 anymore that posts up with workeable stats. 3 days back dude posts bout blood test. Find out his stats lean was 5-9 and 130 pounds. The magic cure will fix him.
Either route, i been working with ya since eroids opened. Im more than happy to help in anything needed. Just let me know big bro
AnonNah man, keep doing what you're doing. Some people may see it as being aggressive but you're just wanting to relay correct productive information that could help someone out. Sad thing is, most come here for the answer they want to hear and get bent when they get the answer they need to hear instead. I fail to ask stats for the most part only because 90% of what I say is just experience and 10% is from fancy book learnin'.
I agree with you bro I’ve asked myself those questions as well. In this case the dude didn’t even mention gear in his post. He just asked what was good for heartburn. Very benign.
I more of a free spirit on stats and don’t think the prevailing thought of weight and BF are the end all be all. No matter what folks tell me I never want to be sub 10%. It’s not my goal and to be honest I don’t like the way I feel both physically and mentally when cutting to get that low. I’m naturally not genetically predisposed to be a sub10% guy. I feel great between 15-20%. Nitti comes to mind as well as someone who could spend his whole existence trying to hit 200+ lbs. He would die trying and my guess he’d never hit it. And if he did he’d feel obese and hate himself for hitting 200lbs. Does that mean we shouldn’t use gear or run stacks to accomplish our goals? For a baseline I do think weight and bf markers have their merit. 100% they do. But I don’t hold them hardline.
I know why you keep helping. You love this place and want to see folks grow both mentally and physically. Don’t lose that bro. It’s why I like you:)
RustyhookerNitti finally crossed 200 then dipped. He had to go full tilt with his metabolism and he looked great!
So it's true that stats arent rock solid. But I've gotten jaded over the last 2 years by the 6ft 165pounders. Suggest food and sweat and all hell breaks loose. Lol!
And you know I'm not sliced or diced. Haha. Someday though I'll do it. At least before i die, win or lose it'll be a stage.
If you do a cut cycle and get lean, I sincerely look forward to your humor as you have to "eat less, do loads of cardio, and NOT eat big." I imagine it'd be like a smoker quitting smoking. Irritable, constant "why in the fuck am I doing this?" etc. If you do it, I look forward to all you have to share, brother!
Regarding all you do for eroids, I know we're forum pals here, but obviously I'm a complete stranger in real life. Yet, your words, your dedication to this place, your commitment to WHAT WORKS, all of this has helped me so much. I know other men (and women) here feel the same. Rusty, I sincerely ask that you don't give up on the newbies, brother. You're a solid voice of reason & safety. This place is better because of your constant, "diet, stats, history" questions you always ask.
In your example of this Dbol question, look at his intro first & then this post & tell me what you feel would be the appropriate way to go about this situation. You’re far wiser than me & I’m here to learn as much as to help.
Yes sir, I agree with you brother! Good solid advice from experience
I think it’s just the approach taken to the guy, it’s pretty negative and a little condescending in my opinion. Do I think running a dbol only cycle is appropriate, no. But could be taken down a better path than was chosen. The guy is a chef from what I remember. He works long hours, on his feet all day, difficult to get five minutes to eat in his line of work so he’s after a short cut. So would most be in that situation.
It’s difficult mate. Always has been and always will be. Personally I think it needs to change.
I responded to his question because I did what he proposed. It was terrible but that was my experience. I have done things now against the grain because how can you give advice on something that you never did yourself. Double edged sword. I have been mostly lurking lately because you are correct and to be honest as things change, they stay the same. I just did a massive cut, I lost 25 pounds in 8 days. I dropped to less then 800 calories a day. I was not tired, I did not die from it. Then again my metabolism has been trained since I was a kid. The one thing that is forgotten and almost NEVER thought of is EVERYONE is different. I dont think we should be asking for stats, diet and training history. We should be asking for information that gets more personal, i.e family medical history, genetic info, full blood panels, how muscular grandpa was what is the whole families average body composition, e.t.c. what works for me will not work for someone else. All we can give is cookie cut advice and then hope the person at the other end of the internet is not lying about their stats, health condition, age and diet/training. I'm rambling now but you get the jist of it. We have been here long enough to see all types come and go. BUT the constant is everyone wants to get bigger, but dont want to put in the work to do it. Everyone wants to go to heaven, but noone wants to die to go there.
Wow I love almost everything you wrote bro. Respect.
You speak truth in that you have done things against the grain. I remember explicitly when you ran an EQ only cycle and I didn’t like it and didn’t think overall you’d like the results. I can’t remember exactly what your outcome was but I’ve known others who tried and weren’t blown away with their results. I personally only get so out of the box with my stacks. I’ve stuck with the classics and learned to stay away from things I haven’t had experience with.
The one thing I wasn’t 100% on board with what you said is not asking for stats history diet etc. I think we still need it but if we add it on top of what you added we can get a real picture of what’s going on. I see your point crystal clear but hopefully the person on the other side of the computer is being genuine and is reasonable. Unfortunately the outlook is 50/50 for that. I always say if I can genuinely help one person while I’m a member here then it’s all worth it
EQ only cycle for me was also lackluster. It was another lesson I learned the hard way that some chemicals work better in conjunction. I should go back to that post and add my results.
I should have rephrased what I said because that is true, we do need stats and history so we can paint the picture better.
That’s fair enough mate. It’s not only a dbol only cycle, but his first cycle. I’m sure even myself could have approached him differently.... that’s definitely something I will work on here
Going against the standard is what got us to where we are today. Back in the day the standard for going off cycle was tapering the doses down, no pct. Then someone said whu dont we use serms to help restart faster.
Some of the guys with the best physiques here do things totally different then "the norm". Hell im doing it right now. Always gone with the standard high test lower deca. Been wondering for a long time how the opposite would effect me. A guy here with one of the best physiques swears by low test high nandrolone. So far so good, feel good, sex drive is good, weight and strength are up.
Fuck man someone asks for some new bicep exercises and everyone wants to know age stats diet training and prior cycles. Cant just answer a fucking question for once. At times its definitely appropriate, but its way overused here. It seems many do it just to get karma.
The link you posted, everyones so quick to say dbol is a waste of time, etc etc. Bet you not one of those people have ran dbol alone. How could one possibly know its not a good cycle if they never tried it. Now i know one doesnt have to do something to know its a bad idea. But something like that, you kinda got to try it. Some of the greatest physiques were built with dbol cycles, no test. Mg per mg its stronger then test, by quite a bit. I think it would produce some decent results. I wouldnt run it cause ill get more out of a longer cycle but if someones not down for that, you cant say its not effective. Its a powerful steroid.
I get what your saying though Jarhead.
Precisely what I see.
You old fuck, how the hell ya been?
Also, post stats, diet, training, priors, baselines please.
