Fitbit Charge 5

I bought this POS about 2 months ago. It’s never given one skin temp reading nor do I get sleep scores. It’s highly inaccurate and a waste of money. I see thousands of online complaints. Has anyone here had a good experience with the Charge 5?

I have had multiple charges, had the Surge and now I have been using the Sense since it came out. This by far my favorite one. It has so many features and does all of those things that you want plus more. It looks like an Apple Watch so that’s cool too.

Personally I would never buy another Fitbit because of bullshit policies. If you buy one today and it goes bad tomorrow they will only give you a refurbished one. Just a BS company. I can see liking it if all the features worked but I have had a horror show with 3 Fitbit Charge 5 so far. I think it’s just a poor design.

Yea I totally get ya. It sucks you’ve had such a bad exp. I’ve had a few go bad on me over the years but after calling them, the ones they’ve sent back to me all have worked great. Maybe give it one more try and give the Sense a try.

Well Google bought them and you know how cheap corporations are I guess that’s why they suck. Can’t go wrong with the Apple Ultra but it’s 850$.

I really do want an Apple Watch but yea that price point is killer. Also from the research I’ve done (fitness wise) a fitness tracker works better then the Apple Watch which is my main reason for wearing something Digital. Maybe we go halfsies and you get it 6 months and I get it 6 months haha.

The new Apple Watch Ultra looks great but it’s 850$. And they stand behind their products. I may need to pull the trigger.

I bought one and had to have it replaced in was than a week. It was defective so they send me a bullshit refurb which couldn’t hold a charge over 4 hours. They refuse to give me a new one like I paid for. Fitbit is a horrible company to deal with.

Does yours ever have trouble connecting to the app? That used to happen to all my previous models

As long as I have a WIFI connection there are no problems. Internet was down for awhile and then connecting was spotty.

I use mine over the Verizon network. I never connect over Wi-Fi. I never get a sleep score and the Fitbit policies suck. I bought a brand new one and in less than a week it shit the bed so they send a refurbished one which was also defective. I paid for a new one but only got refurbs. Fitbit sucks as a company. I can only speak from my experience and so far I find them highly defective.

I think you got lucky Mak. Do you get consistent sleep scores and skin temp heart rate? I received a replacement and have the same issue.

I need to look into that because the Charge 5 is a disaster. No sleep scores no skin temps and several other flawed features and support is horrendous.
