Cell Phone Provider

ad

I’m so fucking tired of Verizon and all there BS and horrendous customer service and $320 a month. Has anyone use Mint Mobile or any other low budget carrier? Verizon loves to lock you into 36 months every time you change something.

I have FIOS which I’m dropping because who needs cable these days with apps. Verizon wireless it’s high quality streaming and unlimited data 5g but it’s just crazy what they charge. I’m thinking Mint Mobile or T-Mobile

That's crazy high, I only pay 60 a month for unlimited talk, text and 50gb 4g data in Canada. It's prepaid through a telus owned company. I like the prepaid so they can't ever ding me for roaming or any bs, the price is the price end of story.

I bundled my mobile with my internet and cable with Xfinity. My wireless bill dropped from over $350/month with Verizon (4 lines/ 2 iPhone & 2 Apple Watchs) to $86 with Xfinity. We have noticed absolutely no drop off in performance or coverage since Xfinity wireless uses Verizon towers

We switched to T-mobile, haven’t looked back. $186 two lines unlimited everything and I’ve never list signal except being in a literal fallout shelter.

I just re upped with ATT 4 new iphone 16s. $240 out the door all unlimited plans and that has the phone payments in it too. I think it's 20gb priority then throttles slower (like most all do) but nobody in our family comes near that. Traded all of our iphone 13s in and got the full $700 rebate on all of them. 2 of them were nowhere near good condition. I was pleasantly surprised and have to say I'm overall satisfied with Ma Bell, as much as I hate to say it. The 5g+ coverage in my neck of the woods is phenomenal with them, often times when my friends can't get shit. And I figure they are one of the largest data collection and privacy breach whores in the biz, so if I'm ON their side and their network, them spying on me and siphoning my very data to do so will not bog me down as much, right? ;) But dang, some of ya'll talking about $20 a month? I used to blast friends with cricket and boost mobile jokes, now I'm starting to think I may try em' out! I'd take a $120 back each month from these devil sent ball and chain tracking devices we call mobile phones.

Visible. It's a prepaid owned by Verizon. I've had them for years. The plan I'm on is $35 plus $5 a month for an Apple watch. 50gb of priority data.
All communication is done through online chat. There is no phone number to call to talk to someone.
Damn. Right now , the Visible+ plan is 25 months for $30 a month including a watch.

I'm with ID Mobile and now pay £7 per month Lol

Around me Verizon is the only provider that has good internet. Optimum was trash.

Verizon doesn’t lock you into 36 months. They give you a $1,000 phone for which require a 36 month commitment or you need to pay them back. Don’t take the $1,000 and you can cancel anytime at no cost. I have 4 phones and 2 watches for $235 a month.

Thanks my mistake. I did the trade in. I have 3 phones and a watch

Let’s put it this way. I spend a lot of money enjoying life every year on cars, vacations, etc but I am the cheapest person I know. If you know how to work the system and find the deals it’s incredible how much you can save. My medical bills this year were $850,000, long story, but after insurance and tax deductions I’m actually making $2,000 because of drug company rebates. I can share hundreds of big money saving/earning tips.

Damn IFit please share brother

Here’s a few easy ones. If you are on any expensive prescription drugs switch to the high deductible plan, call the drug company and ask them to cover your deductible. Easy and big $.

Play the credit card sign up bonus game. Sign up for a new card, do the spend, grab the bonus (usually $750-$1,250 Chase or capital one), refer your spouse for another bonus ($250), close the account… spouse does the same… refers you for a business card (sole proprietor) and around and around we go. This one is good for $10,000-$15,000 on average a year tax free.

Then there’s the expense savings ones that are easy like get rid of cable and streaming services ($200-$300 a month) and sign up for a good IPTV. Have door dash and Instacart accounts in your name and wife’s so you get double the coupons every month.

scoobydoo's picture

How much does opening multiple credit cards a year affect your credit score?

iFit's picture

I’m over 800 so not much at all. Just keep your oldest card forever, don’t carry a balance and pay off the credit card before it cycles at end of statement cycle (not due date) so they report $0 balance and 0% credit utilization.

scoobydoo's picture

I'm over 800 as well. I never carry a balance on my cards. When I pay off a loan my credit score drops. It's a fucking scam. They want you in perpetual payments to have a maxed out credit score. The highest I've ever been is 840 out of 850. I was paying on 3 loans at the time.

iFit's picture

As long as you are mid 700s plus I wouldn’t worry about it as it makes no difference and there’s money to be made by taking a few point hit to get the cards.

100%! My rehab facility was $1,850 a day when I went not including meds. Got it all covered and a 100% return on what I paid out of pocket. It’s really surprising what you can do with correct contingencies in place and advocating for yourself.

850k?!? I’m not even going to make you dive into what has happened, but sending prayers and wishes for a quick recovery!

Injuries and health issues can be just as mentally draining as physically. I wouldn’t have guessed with the attitude you keep and way you present yourself!

I had Boost mobile for several years. It was something like $40 for unlimited at the time. Pretty sure it's cheaper now.

Pumped_'s picture

I got 5 lines from boost, unlimited and hotspot for only $130/mo

Black90tsi's picture

This was a few years ago. I see that their basic unlimited plan is normally $25. But its half off currently.

Pumped_'s picture

People think prepaid is ghetto and sign into these crazy contracts.

smurfdude1234567's picture

T-mobile.
$36 for unlimited.
Pay Monthly no hidden fees.

Eco saver or whatever it’s 5g connection for 50gb of the data and then 4g/lte if you go over that. Only go over when traveling and watching videos or downloading stuff, and even then 4g/lte works just fine
