i have big hands so the usual 1inch diameter bars just don't cut it for me at all, in fact it is very awkward trying to lift with skinny bars on any exercise as my grip wraps all the way around and then some... i'm not saying my gym has excessively small bars but they could be thicker. doing pull-ups on a skinny bar is the worst, and it would probably cut my number of reps in half just due to the size of the bar.

i always enjoyed pressing the 105+ lb dumbells as opposed to the 100- lb dumbbells just due to the size of the bar on them... much thicker! so i can see how these types of products can come in useful to those who get a better workout with thicker bars, or to those simply just wanting to make forearm gains. either way, i want to try these

EDIT: $42+ on Amazon? Uhh... I was thinking they'd be like $15. It is almost insulting to the consumer that they would think their product is worth that much. Probably priced so high to pay off Jay Cutler's check for endorsing them. Looks like I won't be trying them.

Well the reviews on amazon are out of this world.. almost thinking they are mostly paid reviews, very hard to say... I did stumble on a pair of these for $16.80 and free shipping... figured I will give them a shot and just use them mainly for forearm and pull up work...

AMAZON, 1100 out of 1300 5 star reviews...

I use them all the time, great for building up grip strength and getting the forearms really thick. Though they are over priced for a piece of rubber..

That machine looks seriously useful.. Especially if you were a fighter.. I want!!

Ouch.. My wrists are already bad.. Seems like these would just be useful for the forearms mostly..

Yeah i will have to try that.. Thanks bro.. Funny i actually have a ton of pvc around i just had to fix some old water pipes

One of my best mates uses them and swears they brought up his forearms from nothing. Definitely good if you wanna swap it up occasionally

That's good feedback.. Seeming to be not so popular.. Just occasional use and good for forearm workouts..

I have a pair and use them when I do DB curls sometimes. Your poundages will definitely drop when using them but they are a good change of pace to confuse the muscles every once in a while. I wouldn't use them all the time though unless your forearms are really lacking size and you need to bring them up.

When I drop carbs my forearms seem to go, I am thinking I need to start emphasizing them more... could be I am surfing a lot and that they have become more conditioned than muscular/bulky.. I just have a big thing for good forearms.. same way with calves, but my calves are fine.

Get a 2 foot pipe. Attach 6 foot rope or belt in middle.
Tie desired weight to end of rope. Stand up , extend your arms fully with pipe in both hands . Now with forward wrist motion roll up the rope. Unroll , then roll up backwards. With 25 pound plate you won't be able to do more than 10.

Old trick from my Handball playing days.

I have heard about that one.. I guess its time to utilize it..

We have some at the gym. I don't use them, they aggravate my elbow tendonitis. But a lot of guys here like them.

Damn, I have yet to see these.. I wish there was a try before you buy lol.. I only have a few good forearm excercies besides the reverse barbell curl and the rice bucket haha

Good for forearm development and improving your grip.

Yeah I could see it as really hitting your forearms on certain exercises.. it is actually quite intriguing, I would love to use it on the pull up and dead lift especially..
