+ 1 PRE-Cycle Prep and its importance

ad

I'm getting ready for another cycle. As always I spend a few weeks preparing my body for what's to come. Also trying things with my diet and training to get some idea of how my body responds. If it aids growth, recovery, helps keep my blood pressure regulated, aids in water retention or a number of other things that I want to happen while Im on cycle I remember this and incorporate it while on. All the little things matter even more so the older we get.

I want to go into a cycle in peak condition. My goal is to start the next one as close as I can to the condition I ended the last. Don't misunderstand me, Im being realistic here. I know sometimes that may be a pretty wide gap depending on what the goal of the cycle was and what was gained. I have found the best thing I can do to aid myself is be very strict with the amount of rest I give my body. Especially the older I get the more important it becomes. Also while on cycle the compounds allow us to recover so much faster therefore growth is seen faster. No amount of rest will mimic that of course but I've found it helps me stay closer to my cycle stopping point than if I do all the other things and slack in that area.

I spend my time off cycle trying my best through training, diet, rest and even added supplementation trying to stay in peak form. Anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks before I start a cycle I prep my body for what's to come. With age comes a greater struggle in growing, burning fat and maintaining all the positive gains. Had I done all I do now starting in my late 20's who knows where I'd be ascetically now?

Do you do a cycle prep routine? Does it vary depending on the goal of your cycle or compounds you will use? What are some of the things you do? I appreciate all input and constructive criticism is welcome and well received. Eroids allows to crowd source our training and when taken seriously and sound advice is exchanged I believe it can make a huge difference in the way we train and results we see.

Edit: I should have included this. Its a mistake I've made when I was a beginner. Always have ALL compounds ON HAND before starting. PCT included. Anything can happen with shipping. Better safe than sorry on that front.

I was hoping for more feedback on this thread. I feel preparing your body for a metamorphosis like a cycle AAS's is one of the more over looked things in what we all do. Like any machine your about to power up how you prepare it to take the punishment goes a long way when it comes to how it performs and to durability. Ill be posting a precycle pic soon. Almost that time.

Ill say this to. If something helps me gain off cycle that doesn't necessarily mean it is an automatic to do even greater things on cycle. I have to take into account things like blood pressure, water retention and host of other things that are more prevalent while using aas. So I take all that into account and adjust accordingly. I know this approach isn't for everyone. I've found I enjoy the gathering and breaking down of all this data and it suits me. Its very rewarding for me when I find something that works as the result of all this analysis. I have grown in leaps and bounds in deciphering my labs as a result of all the research this approach has required.

I do a few the weeks leading up to a cycle.

  1. I'll ease off my workouts and lift lighter for two weeks. I use this time to let my body actively recover from previous weeks of heavy lifting and evaluate aches and pains for potential injuries.

  2. I like to dial in my diet a few weeks ahead of time so that I'm in the habit of eating the way I need to on cycle.

  3. I also wite down my cycle plan/schedule and make sure I have ALL my gear, ancilaries and injection supplies before I start my cycle.

  4. I document my weight and bf percentage (calipers) 2 weeks before, the day I start and every 2 weeks while on cycle. This way i can adjust diet as needed.

  5. I write down my goals for being on cycle and the date of my last pin so I know how much time I have to accomplish the goal.

Then I get to work!

I started my cycle 3 weeks ago. Fuck! I LOVE BEING ON CYCLE!

I really don't do much. Just keep in decent shape and you should be pretty good. Usually all I do is run about a two week cut to make sure my insulin sensitivity is really good since I will be eating alot more cals on cycle and I want to take advantage of the better nutrient partitioning.

When on cycle don't just remember things mate....Wright them down.

This info becomes priceless for future cycles and training when off cycle

Most definitely. I should have been more specific on that. When I say remember I mean log the info somewhere. I use my notes section on my smart phone. Anything I think will help in the future I add it and go over it later and group it with other things accordingly.

I definetly find it better to start of your diet acouple weeks before to get your body used to the added or subtracted calories.. i doubt its a good idea to down and extra 500 to 1,000 first day. I mean it could be done but i dont see a reason to rush it...
