Nope. I don’t eat any processed garbage. I rely on real food like chicken, turkey, beef, eggs, milk, rice, oats, fruit and vegetables. If it’s in a box or bag or made in the laboratory I don’t want it.

Totally 100% unequivocally agree. If I may, to piggy-back also , When looking at any ingredient list if it states more than 5 ingredients or states any word you cannot pronounce trash it. So much non-food being put in products these days. Take for instance the newer Blue Raspberry flavored everything from sport drinks, to candy, to amino acid drinks. The color used being Blue #1. Blue #1 is made from petroleum. Petroleum is NOT food. Real , whole food. Home grown if possible, is always numero uno.

It’s honestly funny to me that people enter the isles and think they’re buying food. If it’s edible and last for more than 3 to 7 days it can’t be real food. When you pick up a package and it has an expiration date of four years from now it’s obviously not healthy.

Hell yeah! I heard some sound advice from a guy once regarding groceries. If you stay on the perimeter of the store and avoid the middle , you’ll find all your real foods that you need to function .

Only reason to go in the middle is pick up your condiments, mustards, hot sauces, bottled water, and spices.

In fact, the more I go the supermarket the more disgusted I get. Seeing all the bright colored one use disposable non-biodegradable packaging that covers all that crap "food" that will be trash in no time is just perverse. The more connected you are to your food, the more ownership you take personally with everything, and the better not only you get but also your entire community.

Couldn’t agree more! I hunt and fish. Not because I like to kill living things. But I like to be connected to my food. And you’re damn right about all the BS packaged crap. I’m in the construction trades and I’d say more often than not, the guys I work with are killing themselves with fast food and processed junk

Good call on the condiments. I would be miserable without my sugar free barbecue sauce or teriyaki sauce!

Exactly. I start at the fruit section, hit the veggies, then meat, milk/eggs. No need for the islands.

I do go in the middle for rice and oats. They are both in bags but clearly still real food.
