Lol!! I was so hoping this is what this post was going to say!

Anyone on here work nights? If so can you share with me what you eat and when, looking for some ideas.

The Impastable's picture

Eat: 7am-10:30am-1pm-4:00pm-7:00pm-gym-9:00pm-11:00pm-12:00am (cottage cheese right before bed)

I'll wake up at 2am and have a shake if I didn't hit my goals.

The Impastable's picture

You honestly get used to it, and it just becomes a routine... It does involve a little maneuvering though, especially on weekends if we are going out and stuff, just have to make minor adjusyments here and there to fit it in with the schedule. The food is always enjoyable, you just have to get creatiVe in the kitchen.

And i feel you, depending on my daily schedule I substiute two of the meals with shakes. If I'm going to be out at meetings then I make heavy shakes, but if I'm at the office, then there isn't an issue Smile

The Impastable's picture

Shit man, I can imagine. If I have a hard time sleeping and manage to be up to 2or3 I'm a mess the next day (sometimes even 2). I'm assuming you're hyper every night?

The Impastable's picture

Lol, can't have it all can we? ;)

Makwa's picture

I like the nap part.

The Impastable's picture

Curious, but does anyone else keep a bag of potatoes in their desk drawer at work?

Gymjunkie01's picture

I do lol

I think the number one thing is consistency. Dont miss workouts. People that are hit and miss never achieve anything. Also..i blew up on creatine, and it still works for me. I cycle it though.

Drop-set's picture

Creatine works, and I believe it is the only supplement that does. I cycle it because I believe your body gets used to it. If you go off of it for a few months, then start taking it again, you really react positively. I've tried numerous supplements over the last 25 years. The only two that work are creatine and gear.

Drop-set's picture

I have been using creatine on and off since 1992 or so. Believe what you want. I respond very well to it. I had a couple buddies try it but it gave them the shits so they quit. I just started taking it again last week. Going to stay on it until June, then stop again. The only problem with creatine that I have found is I lose sharpness due to all the water.

Papa-pwn's picture

Water from creatine is intramuscular so it will only increase sharpness. Any loss thereof is then due to your diet.

Great post GJ! I'm really excited about this new front being formed on this forum, diet, nutrition, exercise first, then AAS after. It's picking up steam!

The Impastable's picture

To add to this, I was browsing the forum and a post by Vike peaked my interest, regarding offal... So I went and inquired with him further to see what he meant, and then went and did more research on it myself - something all you youngins should be doing! Anything involving food, types of food, cooking it, making it tasty, ANY FUCKING THING ABOUT FOOD, BLAST AWAY WITH QUESTIONS.

Now, from my research, here is what I came up with, a nice, nifty little cheat:

10oz of beef liver, pan-fried:

490 calories
70g of protein
10g of fat
10g of carbs

Yes, you squirts read that right, 70g of protein in a serving size of 10oz, which many on here consider a meal in between meals! Now, in my area, the price is $2.59/lb, which turns into 16, SIXTEEN, ONE-SIX, cents per ounce... Or rough $1.60 for 70g of QUALITY protein.

Now, add two large baked potatoes, with skin, to that meal for another:

556 calories
0g fat
126g of carbs
14g of protein

Do the math, and this small meal has netted you:

1046 calories
10g fat
136g carbs
84g protein

And all for what? Roughly ~$2.00... Now eat this two, three times a day in addition to your diet, and come back and tel me you can't grow, and I will eat my god damn foot.

For LESS than the price of a #2 from McDonald's, I just fed you three meals, and gave you atleast twice the nutritional value.

Get to growing!

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Proud of you brother............ fkn knew you would roll with that idea, and i knew you would do the research instead of being spoon fed.

Now you know why i have no need for pro powders and all the other shit just to hit protein levels...... do it this way and just so simple.

BASICS........... has a real purpose... you just proved it with the financial aspect... but the real proof is in the quality, lasting gains that this type of nutritional protocol brings........... +3

The Impastable's picture

Appreciate the kind words Vike. Thank you for giving me the tip in the first place!!

And I think most people don't really understand how to hit protein levels sans powders because they don't take the time to do the math for whatever reasons... Just two 10oz meals will yield the equivalent protein intake of three double scooped shakes!

I think we need more of the BASICS approach you preach, why go overkill on something that you can do extremely efficiently in the most simple approach possible, it's a no brainier! This ties in to the thread about reforming eroids as diet & exercise first, then AAS...

And I included the financial tidbit, because I'm tired of seeing all these newbs complaining about how they can't afford their diets, so just help them with their cycles to compensate. That's not how it works, and there's no reason anyone on AAS isn't getting their diet dialed in. If they can make all effort that is required to obtain the gear, then they sure as fuck can make the effort to obtain all the food! Anything else, is pure laziness.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Here is a method of getting the benefits of more offal... Lambs Kidneys.... but first for any unbelievers who are reading this thinking WTF are these guys talkin bout!!... let me tell a story.

Ok we have all seen wildlife documentaries on the T.V watching the big cats and large predators on the Masai mara right?....... we watch these lions and cheetahs etc running down their prey before the ultimate kill!... you have all probably noticed what they do first when they have that wildebeest or antelope down on the ground... thats right! they open that thing up from the thin under belly and gorge on the still warm LIVER, KIDNEYS AND HEART.... reason being this is were all the superb high protein easy to digest nutrition is.. ram jam with all the vitamins / minerals and BCAAs in abundance!!...... So in essence they have eaten the best bits first! if they have to leg it because a bigger predator comes along it really doesnt matter.... leave the chewy fatty parts to big fkn lions i dont care lol

OK Kidneys..... i do this for breakfast (some guy mentioned below breakfast would be a problem with offal?)........ time to learn bro Smile

6 or 8 lamb kidneys cut lengthways with the pipe crap cut away.

2 thick hand sliced pieces of wholemeal bread (toasted)

Pan fry the kidneys in a tiny amount of olive or butter depending on season (cut/bulking) until they start to take on some colour, not to harsh with the cooking or they go tough!

Nearing the end of cooking add some chilli flakes and a splash of Balsamic Vinegar for added flavour and some free Thermogenics.

Slap this on top of the toast and wolf that mother down!!......... good thing with offal is that it is like a sponge and will soak up any flavourings you wish to add.... never as to be boring if you use your imagination when eating is concerned.

Some of my brothers are better than any fkn chefs... because top level Bodybuilders spend more time in the kitchen than anywhere else................. so! if some of you guys are wondering why the gains are not coming and you dont know the difference between a Kitchen and a fkn Shed........ Well! do i need to say more Smile

The Impastable's picture

Sweet mother of God im starting to feel my stomach rumble already, and I ate 45 mins ago...

I definitely have to go get a couple lbs of kidneys next...

Catalyst's picture

Love lambs kidneys. Little tip, put some Madeira in the pan and reduce while they rest. Makes a real nice sauce.

Offal is hugely underrated. Just don't over cook stuff like liver or kidneys, makes it bitter.

Makwa's picture

Never tried kidneys but I'll look into it. I do love deer heart though. First thing I do when I get home after killing one is fry that heart up while it is damn near trying to pump yet with some coconut oil and mushrooms and onoins. Same thing with grouse and pheasants. Fry up the gizzards, hearts and livers and it just doesn't get any better for little treats before devouring the breasts.

IrishMack's picture

Try this for size, 2 hearts, and 4 livers, 1 can of lite coconut milk, 1 teaspoon cider vinegar and 1/4 cup of stevia or truvia and blend well. You could use more or less sweetener to taste. Take the hearts and livers sliced about 1/4 inch thick roll them in egg then fry them in olive oil until light brown. The fried egg will seal in the blood and juices for the next step. heat oven to 325 and add the browned gizzards and pour the coconut mixture over the top, bake for about 30 minutes and every 15 minutes keep glazing the pieces with the coconut milk. It makes them very sweet and tasty and packs a serious protein/carb combo with some good fats. I have that about once every 2 weeks and I never get sick of it.

Makwa's picture

wrote it down. Will try this fall.

IrishMack's picture

Sometimes I use cornstarch after dipping in egg or leavened flour to make it real crispy. Of course make sure it fits in your macros because this alone will plummet you over them in one sitting lol.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Fantastic!... thanks bro, this is what we want guys some tips on flavourings etc to make us want to eat!.. just reading this is making me salivate lol

And if some of you guys are saying! Fuck off vike i cant eat that shit!!........... well thats alright mofos because whilst im collecting trophies you lot can wave from the cheap seats cos your too fkn skinny to come stand with the real men!... lmfaoooooooo

Makwa's picture

Now I want to go hunting. I think I'll try some deer liver next time I get one. Shame to leave it in the gut pile. It must be good cause it's always the first thing the critters seem to eat.

Catalyst's picture

Got to say it's made my hungry. Only ate an hour ago, not sure I can make it to 5.30pm for the next meal now.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

This is way im going to steer the board bro............... im sick to fkn death of all these skinny runt roid junkies we have here!........ like a magazine i want to persistently reintroduce the BASICS to force feed these runts how important nutrition is in this game.......... we seem to have only an handful of guys that fully appreciate that food is more important than gear.

Example : GEARHEAD hit me up with some solid facts that only guys that know what they are talking about understand.......... Posted blood tests prove that guys are using their anabolics but!... the (BUN) Creatinine levels being shown PROVE without a shadow of doubt they are NO WHERE NEAR hitting protein levels that they should be doing whilst on cycle........... its no wonder no one is growing they straight up are NOT EATING............ Period. Low or normal Creatinine levels on cycle? NO FKN WAY.

I like the direction your going here.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

You guys got this rolling with these new threads bro....... all i am doing is stepping on the gas a little to bring us back up to elite status..... we will never educate the uneducable amongst us but by reinventing a curiosity for the basics (or a reminder in some instances) .. we can drag some of the interested parties out of the Doldrums and blast through a few plateaus whilst still have fun.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

See whats making me real happy is that this is not just of interest for us older guys.... we have TonyT and Pasta who are ripping my gates down regarding old basics stuff because they have realised anabolics is just the icing on the cake................. first job is building the cake in the first place lol and these guys i know will become the whole package very soon because they have their heads screwed on properly.

Makwa's picture

Definitely solid dudes there. Every time they post something I seem to learn something, as well as yours. When some people speak you just have to absorb it and grow.
