How long should Arimidex be used for?

ad

31 years old
5'8"
173lbs.

1 cycle of test C 500mg/week under my belt.

How long should Arimidex be used until during cycle? I've read that it should be stopped during PCT because it does not mix well with Nolvadex -- is this true? I want to try using Aromasin again for my next cycle, but it was messing with my joints, even at low doses.

I ask this question about Arimidex and AIs because I had really bad issues with acne that I want to control better for my next cycle. I finished my 1st cycle in June and I am still dealing with acne from it (acne that is trapped under the skin that needs to come to the surface).

You probably don't aromatize very highly or your dose of aromasin was too high/too frequent I'm guessing if it killed your joints (crashed/near crashing estrogen). AI drugs aren't always best to start at the beginning of a cycle because you run the risk of crashing your estro. That's why most people either wait 3 weeks or wait to see if they have any sides before taking their AI all the way through the rest of the cycle before pct. Unless you're using aromasin in your pct as well. Yes, don't use arimidex with nolva. It's counterproductive. The best way to adjust your AI dosage is by going off your mid cycle blood work.

My estradiol was at 215.4 about 6 weeks in. I believe I have high aromatization because I was getting sensitive nips after my first week.

I was using Aromasin at 6.25mg eod and I still felt pain in my joints.

I had stopped the Aromasin for about a week and then tested to see what my estradiol would be at without AI and plus I was getting the joint pain, so I cut it out. I did not get another blood test while I was on my AI. I will do that for my next cycle.

Your first week on test cyp you got sensitive nips? Did you have any existing joint issues before your cycle?

Yes about sensitive nips. Yes and no about existing joint issues. I had issues in my shoulder, but not my knee joint, which started aching after a few weeks on Aromasin.

Maybe you're just sensitive to exemestane. Everyone is different.

So... I have read that Arimidex has a rebound effect once stopped. I am wondering if that is what caused my acne, because I stopped taking it a few days before my PCT and shortly after I started getting a ton of acne. I am trying to figure out a way to combat this and keep my estro levels even up and through my PCT.

Yep, your estro rebounded causing acne. Add aromasin in if you have it for pct and take joint/cartilage support.
