cardio during pct
about to begin pct next week. cycle was supposed to be 12 weeks. it ended up 16 because the gains were great, and partly cause the addict in me didn't want me to come off. i ran hcg last month of cycle, stopping 1 week before pct begins. ill be doin the standard clomid 100/100/50/50 nolva 40/40/20/20, and ill also be using igf-1 lr3 40mcg split bilateral.i gained some lbm this cycle while leaning out a bit. i like having a ripped physique, and want to continue to work towards my goals in the near future. obviously during pct i wanna do everything i can to maximise my chances of keeping every hard earned pound of my gains that i can. as my goal is to continue to get shredded and keep every possible pound of lbm that i can, my question revolves around cardio during pct, and how should i go about it? i would imagine now that im off cycle i should atleast cut back, or should i completely stop cardio during pct?

Hitman187thanks brutha that was a good read. i am gonna use these methods to help guide me through. this will only be my second pct, i'd like to think my 1st pct was pretty successful. i recovered. i gained and lost a good amount of water weight my first time, only because i didn't use my ai properly on cycle. but i kept almost all my strenghth, reps just dropped a few. have you ever used igf during pct? i hear alot of guys say its helped them keep all there gains, so im going to try it. personally, im a lil skeptical. i think igf will add water weight, and just substitute what water was lost from aas. i shouldn't have too much water this time. my ai was on point, and i ran 75mg var at the end of this test cycle.
You're gonna wanna dial back the intensity of all types of workouts and go to maintenance mode. Your body's metabolism will begin shifting into a fairly catabolic state, keep the intensity levels moderate at best. Cardio should be low intensity. No sprints, intervals, or fast paced running. Go with slow jogs, fast paced walking, low intensity long duration elliptical etc. BCAA's will make a huge difference during workouts and shakes immediately following.
Hitman187thanks. i usually do low intensity for long duration as i heard its the best way to burn fat with minimal muscle loss, but i also mostly did this fasted in the morning. should i give fasted cardio up all together for a while
I would for now. Fasting puts you in a catabolic state. The more catabolic enzymes and stress hormones present, the lower the intensity needs to be to prevent lean tissue breakdown.
This is my favorite.
Excellent points above. +1
