Losing pump mid workout...does this equate to over training?

ad

Currently on 500mg test E per week

So I was training chest today and had an incredible chest tearing pump halfway through my workout. Skin bursting, veiny, striated chest pump that we all know and love. Towards the end of my workout I felt like I was pushing my chest too hard and the pump went away and I felt very weak. Does this mean I'm overtraining the muscle?

Sounds like your chest had reached complete failure / exhaustion and more than likely your shoulders and triceps started taking all the load. That of course is just my opinion.

How long were you working out for. I know that if my workouts get longer than an hour or so my pump starts to fade. I wouldn't consider it overtraining, but it is a sign that you have burned that muscle out for the day and it is time to go home and eat. Supplementing with some BCAA'S and some intra-workout carbs may help prolong the pump a little bit.

Likely food intake IMO. As stated below, check carb count, maybe use a carb packed preworkout.

Are you taking in enough carbs? I know my pumps fade quickly if I didn't take in enough of them 2 hours before gym time. Could be you're over training as well, but you said this is happening mid workout. Up your carbs or have intra-workout carb drink. Also, stay hydrated.

The carbs you eat 2-3 hrs before your workout are what actually fuel your workout. If I know I am going to have long high volume workout, then I definitely consume an intra-workout carb drink.
