+ 1 Planning Phase - Brainstorm on Phase 1 Cycle
Good Day Friends,
Planning next phase 1 cycle- welcome feedback.
Context:
(Coach has me phase 1/phase 2 )
Phase 1 = 12 week lean bulk
8-10 weeks off w/proper PCT
Phase 2 = 12-14 week contest prep cycle
Competition Goal- winter 2021
Goal of Phase 1 Cycle:
Add density/ true tissue
Context:
Cycle History: 5 total
Test C 400mg/wk (10wks)
Test C 400mg/wk (12wks) Anavar 40/mg (final 4 wks)
Test C 400mg/wk (12 was) Anavar 50/mg (final 5 wks)
Test C 600/wk (1) Deca 400mg/wk (16 wks)
Sus 250 500/wk (10wk)
Current Diet:
3 Med Carb/ 1 low/ high as needed
2300-2700 cals (45% P, 35% C, 20%F)
Training:
3 on 1 off
Chest/Tri, Back/Bi, Legs, off, Shoulders/upper chest, Arms, calves/Abs, off.
Starting Point:
5’10”
208lbs
18% bf
What I’ve learned:
Best Gains were on SUS 250 by far. Lean.
Deca I didn’t do well with (bloat, nipple pain, etc) (used Caber and AI)- body just didn’t care for it.
Anavar does well- helps lean and dial in.
Where I’m at ( drawing board)
Debating if I go Sus 250 again or test C
*NO interest in Tren (not my scene)
Thoughts: Sus 250 @ 500/wk (12wks) .. maybe add Anavar or try another oral.... coach as mentioned NPP but not sure due to poor experience with Deca.
Overall- I need to add density/true tissue/shape. My training is structured as such.
I have a lot to learn and open to coaching, feedback, and questions.
Thanks, E

Great thorough presentation, this is how it should be done.+1
U say ur wanting to lean bulk. I don't see that happening at 18% bf. Get that body fat down to 12%. Test can be fragile when it comes to being lean. Diet, bodyfat, and dosage play a big role in this. Ur diet is heavy calorie deficit for training 6 days a week. Seems like a cutter diet, not a lean bulk. Hold off on cycle, get body fat under control. Let's start there. Lay out ur diet and macros.
good advice bro .
Except for the Body Fat% , Body Fat % is not universal across the board for everyone .
Him at 18% could be me at 16% , It depends on how he carries his fat and where he carries it . It's kinda like a chick when they start losing Body fat some of them lose from the Belly and some of them just lose there tits and or ass .
As with everything else in Bodybuilding and fitness it all comes down to Genetics , My belly goes first and I get Abs in the summer but it takes me another month to get my love handles to fall off.
Good point. I’m conservative on body fat too. Using calipers and calculator- mirror etc.
With you on the love handles!
For better clarity, I have upper 4 showing (abs) currently. Hold fat on handles and side chest. By no means chubby. Just hard on myself.
I agree, but the op has a goal in mind for competing. He will have better management of watertight, BP, estrogen, starting at a lower bf. His time frame can only handle one cycle so might as well get the most of it. Now can he naturally trim down bf to 12% in the next 2.5 months?? Yes, then hit a 12wk cycle. Love handles are the last for me. Jmo, im no competition body builder, but I also don't like waterweight when I cycle.
Appreciate the advice One wheel. I tend to drop down fast while adding growth. (Also calories lower due to hypothyroid) this is “low” in comparison but actually my sweet spot with the thyroid issues.
I can take that feedback. Perhaps I got a little too impatient. Back to the drawing board - natty with fat loss. Cross this bridge in a few months. Appreciate your expertise
Not trying to take any wind from ur sails, just want u to have a successful cycle. I throw a link up that will help get u started. Also uve said nothing about bloodwork, but u know u have a thyroid isuue... bloodwork is very critical, especially when cycling... Research both these items...

Great resource. Thank you for sharing my friend.
As for your question on bloods. I monitor 4 times a year minimum. This is required 2 times a year by my doc for thyroid and I do 2-3 depending on cycles and timing of the other bloods (pre, mid, post)

What class are you gonna compete in? Thats key here. 5 cycles in and only 175 stage ready at 5-10 is needing better coaching
I agree Rusty. Truth- I fell off last year took a big toll on me. I competed in men’s physique. Last show I was 180 on stage and came in 2nd in my class. I made some mistakes over the last year with diet and gyms being closed.
RustyhookerAhhhh....ok makes sense now. By winter you can hit stage by bustin ass, no doubts. Damn covid....grrr.
Keep it simple if you run a cycle. Might look at cutter if thats where you aim so you then have near 6mo to dial the rest in. Simple test and work the diet full tilt.
Thanks Rusty- yeah that’s exactly the goal. Also for clarity those first 2 of the 5 cycles (I had no business doing/ uneducated/ younger/ poor diet/ and were 6 years prior to the last 3.
From experience the diet will trim me down over the next 3 months on its own slowly. My goal is to add some density along the way. Just unsure if I go test how much and which type. I try to keep it simple and let diet and work take priority. Thanks again for your feedback!
